Hola a todos,
Perdonar mi ignorancia pero no acabo de entender que
diferencias existen
entre importar una hoja de estilos o enlazarla (@import)
(link)
¿Cuál de las dos opciones es mejor utilizar?
¿Es lo mismo una que otra no?
¿Que ventajas tiene usar una u otra?

Import te la importa y te la guarda en tu documento (dentro

tu .html)vincular (link) la hoja te vincula los estilos pero

RoboHelp 9 gives an out of memory error and crashes when I try to import or link a Frame 10 file or

I have Tech Suite 3. If I start a new RoboHelp project and try to import or link Frame files, RoboHelp tries for a while, then I get an Out of Memory error and the program crashes.
I opened one of the sample projects and was able to link to one of my frame files without any problem, so it seems to be an issue with creating something new.
Any suggestions?

It happens when I create a new project and then try to import or link frame docs to make up the content. It starts scanning, then crashes. I did get it to the conversion setting page once, but no further.
It does not happen if I open one of the supplied example projects and link a file. But then it doesn't let me choose, during import, any style mapping. And I can't delete the sample project fold
Twice now it has told me when I tried to import (not link, but import) that my .fm file could not be opened, and told me to verify that Frame is installed (it is) and that the file is a valid frame file (it is).
The docs and project are in separate folders on my C: drive.

You are on track I have followed same exact procedure earlier it self
I have Active directory user "X" I have followed this steps
1) I have user X in active directory
2) I have provision to the group called Finance which is native group
3) I have exported the security information
4) I have taken only that user "X" info from the export file
5) I have tried to same info through the import file.
Still I see the issue it not updating that user group info

CSS SSL and link modification problem

Hi all
We have a problem using our CSS to offload SSL for a site. The offload works for the first connection, but the web application seems to be rewriting relative links as absolute links.
For example, a user hits the site at https://www.mydomain.com. The CSS is configured to terminate the SSL traffic, and then send HTTP to the internal web server on TCP/81.
What we're seeing in the client's browser is that all links are being returned as http://www.mydomain.com:81/... instead of https://www.mydomain.com/...
Any idea of how we can do this without messing around with the web server too much? I.e. is there a way on the CSS to do link translation?

If the link are indeed hardcoded like this, there is nothing the CSS can do.
Bad server design.
If the server is returning a redirect to http://... the CSS can intercept it and rewrite it to https.
Please verify if there is a redirect.

Has anybody tested the import and linking enhancements in RH 9 HTML?

All,
I am testing a trial version of RH 9. All looks good except I’m not understanding some of the import and linking enhancements. Has anyone tried the new relative path benefit by moving a project or source document? I’ve done both and I get the same results as in RH 8—if the project moves, the links work fine, and when the source document moves, you have to use the “restore to link” feature in order to update the link document. Am I missing something?
Here’s the “what’s new in RH 9” lingo:
RoboHelp 9 saves the relative path, instead of the absolute path, of linked documents. As a result, the links work even when the RoboHelp project and the linked Microsoft Word or FrameMaker documents are moved.
Note: Earlier versions of RoboHelp projects that contain absolute paths of linked documents open normally in RoboHelp 9. While saving these projects, RoboHelp 9 saves the relative path

Looking again at your first post in the thread, it does state on saving RoboHelp 9 changes the path to being relative. If Linking by Copy then it is an enhancement as it avoids the link having to be recreated if you move the project.
For Create by Reference I would say an absolute path is preferable as it then doesn't matter if the project moves and you are saying that does work. If it is the document that moves, somehow RoboHelp has to be told where.
Sounds like what is wrong is the help not qualifying when the relative link is used. You could add a comment to the help to get that fixed.

CSS Import/Export Utility

I'm trying to export users and groups along with their provisions using the CSS Import/Export utility, and I've configured my importexport.properties file to include export.provisioning.all=true, but the exported file does not include any provisioning. Is there a way to fix this?

I agree with Seb. I could not get the 9.2.0.1 utility to work. It was exporting only native groups and the members in each group and not any provisioning info.
Once I installed the 9.3.1 version of the utility, it all worked fine. Make sure you install JAVA JDK 1.5 as the utility needs that version. Just install in same path as the cssimportexport utility so that it doesn't conflict with any earlier versions of java (we had 1.4.2) on that server.

CSS Style Sheet Link Recursive Error?

I am trying to link a css style sheet to a new root file. When I try to link the css sheet I get an error - A recursive style import was found while trying to add Check Magazine.css. Please resolve this error by editing the file in an external text editor and try again.
What does this mean? I looked up recursive style everywhere and there is no explanation. I don't know how to fix. The answer I found on these forums mentioned an @import statement error but I dont even have any @import statemensts in my style sheet this style sheet is part of the Getting Started tutorial on this website.

Font problem in import and link

I'm using RH8 and have a problem with a Word doc I linked.In a numbered list, NumberList2, the font reverts to Times New Roman from Arial 10pt. I attach a pic. I've tried reapplying the style, linking again and again and it's very stubborn. Is there a fix?

If this is a Linked Word Document, Try going to File>Project Settings >Next and Click on Edit for Word Document conversion Settings, and
Select Edit and it would prompt you with all avauilable tags along with their Appearance, Example in Word and Robohelp.
Check your tag in the List and Select "Source " in Drop Down of RoboHelp Style.
And try to Select that and observe if the Appearnace or Style is imporved.
Alternately, if you want you can import the Word Doccument and its assocaiated CSS file would be imported too and you can make changes directly to CSS and reapply them.

How do I properly link my CSS styles to my HTML file? (It's a single page website with a spry drop down menu, which somehow doesn't show when I hover over the buttons). I am using a copied file from the original because it was originally saved on my school computer so I had to relink everything.
When I click to see the CSS styles it says: 'sprymenubar.js'mis not on the local disk
When I click "get," it says the spry is not in a defined site. It says this for all my CSS styles.

My guess without seeing your code is that you're linking to files:/// on your hard drive instead of the local site folder. This would explain the problems you describe. When this happens, it's almost always because the site is not properly defined in DW's Site > Manage Sites panels:

Hi I am slightly confused with using CSS to control links.

I have set the Hover,active and visited colour properties.
the issue is that once a link has been visited the hover colour no longer shows up.
So I tried removing the visited colour and now even when i hover it is staying the default purpleish.
please advise on how to keep the links one colour except when hovering

To get best results in all browsers, a:active MUST follow a:hover in the CSS definition order. A simple memory device for link order is " LiVHA" for link, visited, hover, active.

Need to override CSS style for link

I've set up a page with an external style sheet. I have a
link within a heading that I want to look different from my CSS
link style (I want it to match the heading). Is there a way to
override the basic style? I tried setting up a class and that
didn't work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Clearly there is a typo there. It should be either this -
.heading a:link {
(leading dot for heading - no SPACE after the colon)
or this -
#heading a:link {
depending on whether there is a custom class or an ID
selector being used to
identify the container for the link.

How to Remove CSS from One Link?

My links are all the same color. I do not want a color on one link. Is there a SIMPLE way to REMOVE that CSS style from the one link?

It is a yellow button with blue writing on it. But on the website it appears with a purple stroke around it. The other links on the page are just purple words. I want to get rid of the purple stroke around the yellow button.

Are the paths correct for this third party css and js links?

Centering Images using CSS but having links on the Images

Hi all,
I have a problem on centering an image using CSS. I read on many forums that you have to use margin-left , margin-right and set to auto. and also set the display:block which I had done.
The problem is if I want to have a link from the image. Because I have set the display to block, the link will span the entire container containing it! How do I resolve that? I only want the image to be linkable and not the entire container!

That's incorrect. If the display:block is applied to only the IMAGE, the anchor tag will be exactly the same dimensions as the image and will not fill the container.
