DNG converter don't work for some RW2-files

Hi,
i found out, that there ist now direct support from CS4 to my new Lumix LX5. :-(
In some forums i got the hint to use the free DNG converter. that works for most of the files, but some rw2's it can't convert. yesterday i made 10 pictures and the converter only identificate 7 of them. The only thing i noticeed ist, that this files are "only" 7MB. The others are 10MB. When i use irfanview to look the rw2's are no problems. the pictures are all very good. somebody an idea whats wrong with the 3?

I don't know anything at all about your file format, but it sounds as if there is an option to create compressed raw files. I know Canon has this option. It may be that somehow you used this compressed option, assuming that there is one, and it may be that the DNG converter does not support the compressed raw format. If not, maybe someone else will have a better answer.

It could be due to a enterprise global corruption. Does it happen on a specific enterprise view? Does it work well in the default Gantt view?
Try to open the enterprise global and make a copy of the table with the same fields and attributes, then replace the old table with the new one in all the relevant views.

Speakers don't work for some apps (eg Orange TV)

when runing some TV Apps on my iPAD2, no sound comes for the speakers. I need to use my earphones.
It used to work until this morning......but I cannot get it working anymore.

IPod Shuffle 4th Gen keeps asking to restore every time connected to iTunes. Also when synced there are glitches in Songs ( stuck in between ) and voice over don't work for some. Please help.

Whenever iPod connected to iTunes asks for Restore. Once done when synced songs, unable to sync more than 2 Playlists.

Yes, I have restored from Backup via i-Cloud. I've restored the iPod to factory settings. It seem like there is a driver issue. I installed iOS 5.01 and updated iTunes to 10.5.3.3 at about the same time. Win-Vista64, iTunes and iPod are all up to date. Apple Genius, at local Apple store was also perplexed. He suggested I ask the community. So, here I am.
It is strange that I can connect to other computers. But, the other computers have Win 7. Could this be a Vista64 driver issue?

Quicktime working for some but not for others

Hello all,
I'm developing this website and it displays videos in quicktime format, but it's just not working for some people... It just won't play for some reason I just don't know 'cause I couldn't make the error happen to me and got no good help from others...
This is what's happening: @ www.thebrooklynbrothers.com/ clicking on "work, work and more work", then clicking on MEDIA and then FILM, it should display the QT movie and the user could play it, but for some reason it just shows up the QT logo and nothing more, as some people are telling me... could somebody check this out to see if it happens to you as well and tell me what could be the problem or any other details of the error so I can figure out what it is?

I'm having a similar problem with videos uploaded onto my website. It all plays fine through Firefox and Internet Explorer on my other PC, but on this one (Win XP), I just get a blank page after it's finished loading. No video box or error mesage. Just lots of white space. I've checked all my settings, and have QT as my default player, but still nothing. Have also downloaded the latest QT updates. Is there something I'm missing in Windows or Internet Explorer? I don't have any problems with it on my Mac.

Outlook autodiscover is not working for some users in coexistence

We are doing exchnage 2013/2010 coexistence
Most everything is ok BUT outlook autodiscover is not working for some exchange 2010 users now that 2013 is in the front!!!. We end up creating the profiles manually. It has affected some but not all the users.
I followed the instructions here but it didn't help.

If it is affecting only few handful of users i could suspect a mailbox corruption and would recommend to move mailbox and see the results.

Outlook Anywhere not working for some users

Hi All,
I am having a strange issue today with a customer -
Outlook Anywhere has been enabled on their Exchange 2010 environment, but it doesn't work for some users.
Using the ExRCA I have been able to identify the following error on the users who are unable to connect:
"Testing the MAPI Mail Store endpoint on the Exchange server."
"Attempting to log on to the mailbox"
Mailbox logon returned ecLoginPerm 1010. You don't have the correct permissions to log in to the mailbox.
EMSMDB Status: ecLoginPerm 1010
Elapsed Time: 225 ms.
On users that are able to connect it goes through the ExRCA without any issues.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Printing doesn't work for some docs (CUPS 1.4, Samsung ML-2010, Splix)

I installed my Samsung ML-2010R some days ago. CUPS version is 1.4.2-1. Splix is 2.0.0-1.
After blacklisting lpusb installation worked fine. Also printing a testpage worked. Printing works for some documents, but there are some which won't (all were pdfs, but I mainly tested .pdfs). The document is sent to the printer (or at least it looks so), but nothing happens (sometimes the printer makes a short noise). When I go to http://localhost:631/printers/ it says "Frei - "Processing page 11..."" (while "frei" being German for "free", don't know, perhaps the corresponding status in English is idle). The page number changes depending on the document (but it is always the same page if I try to print the same document more times).
In the log-files I don't find anything useful (at least for me). Here is what I get, if I try to print one of these documents:

Good news! I think the outstanding developers of Debian have a patch for our bug.
It involves recompiling CUPS, which in Arch means making new packages for "cups" and "libcups". I used the package build information for CUPS from ABS and created a new PKGBUILD. Here it is for reference:

This makes new versions of the packages "cups" and "libcups". I installed them and my printer is behaving very well. The Debian/Ubuntu developers work miracles.
If you could try it, to see if it fixes your printer problems too, that would be great.
Here is where I got the patches from. http://patch-tracker.debian.org/package/cups/1.4.2-4 I applied almost all of them. I excluded the "drop unnecessary dependencies" patch because it brought compiler errors with the default Arch CUPS PKGBUILD, and also excluded the "man page" and "manual" patches. I think the only patch you and I actually need is the "usb-backend-both-usblp-and-libusb" patch, but I'm not really in the mood to try applying only that one, since it seems to be working fine now. I decided to ignore applying the Ubuntu CUPS patches, because they mostly seem to be simply patches to the way CUPS is installed. Anyway, I hope these patches are moved upstream soon!
If we have good results from this PKGBUILD, I think I will upload it to AUR. It will be my first AUR package.

ExpressCache cannot find mSATA after working for some time

I have my T430s with 16 Gb mSATA for cache. After installing ExpressCache and making it work for some time, it suddenly cannot detect the SSD.
An usual solution is to reboot -> hear the annoying beep showing error 2101 -> login in windows -> Shut down -> Turn on the computer and it will work right way (although I haven't test how long it can work). Since it can work smoothly for some while, i don't think it's a hardware issue.

Why do you need a 32-bit program?
You're on 10.6.8, so that means a Mac. Unlike with Windows, there are not separate 32- and 64-bit versions of OS X. You can run a 64-bit application like After Effects CS6 even if you're on a system old enough to only support a 32-bit kernel. So if you have an Intel-based Mac running 10.6.8 then AE CS6 should work fine.

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

IOS 7.0.2 - Bluetooth keyb up/down arrow keys don't work on some applications

I have a logitech ultrathin keyboard that I've been using extensively for text editing with my ipad. Since the upgrade to iOS 7 (and I now have 7.0.2), navigation keys up/down don't work on some applications.
Eg: Works on - notes / gmail
Doesn't work on: - messages / writing kit
This severely impacts the usability of the ipad as a writing instrument.
Tips?

It appears to have been a late-breaking change affecting lots of apps with text views, but not Apple's Notes. If it is the same problem, it happens with the standard keyboard also. I found comments on Apple's developer forums whilst debugging my own app.

Why does iMessage only work for some of my contacts?

Having problems with iMessage. It will work for some of my contacts but not others. And those people arre having the same problem, works with other people but not me.. Anyone dealt with this?

1. Both devices have to be running iOS 5.*
2. Internet latency can delay iMessage connection. If you enabled "Send as SMS", the phone will switch to SMS if iMessage doesn't connect quickly. If you disable Send as SMS, more of your messages will go through as iMessage.

IMAP Working for some but not others

I am having the issue of imap working for some users and not others. I have for instance 2 users both accounts the same. One account I can link via imap the other I can not. Both have the same group memberships, both are in the same post office. Everyone has imap access I have no restictrions set. Any idea where I should begin to look. The wifi at my school isn't very good. And I can't send iMessages through it. It works for some apps like score center and my radar app, but doesn't work for other apps like clash of clans and iMessage. How can I get it to work on my school wifi. I have an iPhone 4S on AT&T and iOS 7.04

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first.
