DNG Converter ver. 6.4 does not recognize NX100 .SRW files

I downloaded/installed DNG converter ver. 6.4 on my iMac with updated OS-X 10.6+. It installed okay, but it will not recognize my NX100 .SRW RAW files. They are grayed out, so unselectable.  The ReadMe file says the NX100 is covered with this version, so what am I missing?
As a side note, I also have a copy of Lightroom 3, and it has the latest ACR, so it can read the .SRW files, but I would like to try using the DNG converter so other software I have could be used for editing.  The DNG converter should let me quickly convert my .SRW files for this purpose, without having to first process them through LR 3.  Could this be the roadblock, having ACR also installed?
thanks,
Dennis

In addition, you can also use Lightroom to do the conversion.
You just select the files you want to convert and then click Library > Convert Photo(s) To DNG
In fact, you can select your entire library and convert them all to DNG.  You don't need to make sure to only select RAW files, because there is an option to "Only Convert RAW Files".  So, why not just select everything?
Using Lightroom to do the conversion also gives you the ability to convert specific individual files, instead of needing to select an entire directory, if that's what you'd like to do.

  • Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge does not recognize the raw files from my Canon Mark III 5D Camera.

Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge does not recognize the raw files from my new Canon Mark III 5D Camera.  How can I get my files open to view and edit?  I am using LR3, Photoshop CS3 and Bridge CS3.  Do I need to upgrade these programs or is there another way to get these programs to recognize my files?
When I try opening the raw images in Lightroom, the thumbnails say "Preview unavailable for this file"  ... when I click "import" an error message pops up that says "The files are from a camera which is not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom."
When I try opening the raw images in Photoshop, an error message pops up saying "could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file."
When I try opening the raw images in Bridge, it just shows an icon with the file name and CR2.
    Please help!!!

Unless I missed an announcement, today, LR6 isn't available, yet, right?  Only Adobe employees and beta testers would know what LR6 does differently at this point and they're all sworn to secrecy.
LR5 is available as a standalone version.
    PS-CS6 is available as a serial-number-licensed version.
PS-CC + LR5 are also available as a Photography Plan subscription for $10/month with a minimum OS versions of OSX 10.7 (and probably 10.8, soon) and Windows 7.
Bridge is part of PS, not a separate program.
LR5 standalone and LR+PS-CC plan are both available on this page:  http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html
PS-CS6 can be found on this page:  Creative Suite 6 which can be found by searching www.adobe.com for Photoshop CS6 and clicking the Buy link in the on-the-fly search results.
As with any new Adobe software, it might be wise to run it in trial mode for a few days/weeks to see if it works well with your computer, before purchasing and finding out you might need a new computer, first.

  • Somehow my calender was erased. How do I restore it? I have time machine. Fortunately it was synched with Outlook, so I still have it there. But Ical does not recognize the Outlook file. Is there a way to restore from Outlook? resi

Somehow my calendar in iCal was deleted. It was not archived. I have Time Machine. How do I restore? Fortunately it was synched to Outlook, so it is not lost. I would like to out it back in iCal but iCal does not recognize the Outlook file.

Thank you. It's all back to normal (took around 7 hours on the late 2009 iMac). Time Machine's become better now compared to the last time I used it to migrate everything automatically (Snow Leopard days). With Maverick's Time Machine, it's almost like a cloning (except for the password) tool now. But it's always great to name the account and maybe the hardisk the same names so can just replace a newly installed OS.
    God bless. Thanks again.

You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

  • DNG Converter 6.4 does not recognize any RAW files

    Hi,
I have updated DNG Converter from 6.2 RC to 6.3 and 6.4. DNG Converter 6.2 RC from Adobe Labs recognizes all my RAW files (Canon PowerShot S50, PowerShot SX1IS, EOS 400D). The official releases of 6.3 and 6.4 do not recognize any RAW files of these cameras.
I select a directory, where the raw files are located, but DNG Converter tells me that no files where selected. With 6.2 RC, I select the directory and everything just works fine.
    What's wrong with this picture?

How to tell what version of Camera Raw is installed when Elements does not recognize the Canon raw extension? I have updated within the last five minutes.

to see what version of Camera Raw is installed, you can go to:
Help >> About Plug in >> Camera Raw
    See this picture:
You can also try to update your version if it isn't version 8.5
There is also a possibility to use DNG converter to load any raw files from any cameras but see if this answers your question.

  • HELP FAST! Need to go to my wedding-Lightroom 4 does not recognize Nikon D800 files

I try to import my d800 nef files and Lightroom does not recognize them and will not import.  I looked on the site and it SAYS it supports them but nothing. I looked for a raw plugin but when I clicked the link it would not go anywhere.  HELP! I don't want to shoot my wedding with this camera if LR can't support it and I have to return it to the camera store FAST if not.

    Nidhaal Halid wrote:
Nikon D 800 is supported in the latest realease of camera raw. Make sure that you update the software to the latest version or download and install the latest version of Camera Raw 6.7 from the Adobe website.
But the question is about Lightroom. And Lightroom doesn't use any version of ACR. Lightroom 4 is somewhat compatible with ACR 6.7, and fully compatible with ACR 7.x. ACR 6.7 will read Lightroom 4 adjustments when an image is transferred to Photoshop, but it will not provide access to process 2012 sliders in ACR.

  • Lumia 920 does not recognize transferred media fil...

I am able to transfer media files (mp3) to the phone with my Ubuntu 12.04 with no problem at all. However, the phone does not recognize files when I go to Nokia Music application. Software says that all the Music "folders" (Albums, Genres etc.) are empty. Am I missing something here? Seems like no one else has this problem.
I have tried putting the mp3 files in all possible folders ( music, documents etc)  on phone, but no luck. I have also tried several different mp3 files. Can anyone help me with this?

This was never a problem for me with my fisrt 920. I have just taken delivery of a replacement phone after I managed to smash the glass on thge first one last week. I have tried transferring albums and songs (in mpeg-4 format from my pc's file explorer, using the USB connector. File Explorer indicates that the files have copied correctly into the Lumia's Music folder but when I try to run Nokia Music it tells me that nothing has been transferred. So I check back on the pc with USB connector and, sure enough, File Explorer tells me that the folders and files ARE there.
What's happening on the Lumia 920? (By the way the X-Box Music App also tells me that nothing exists on my Lumia music folder).
Absolutely no problem transferring photos by this route.

  • Import does not recognize old image files that have no extension

Just discovered that the import facility does not see (or accept) old Mac image files that have no extension -- even if these files have a Mac "kind" that is an image such as "Adobe Photoshop file".
You can manually add an extension to the file (and respond to an "are you sure?" dialog). Then the file will be seen and accepted.
This is extremely dangerous (and painful to manually correct) since you think you are seeing all images in the import box, but you are not.
In fact, I deleted huge image directories after having satisfactorally (I thought) imported them into Aperture many months ago. Most of the old extension-less files had been updated and did have extensions in later versions. However, I missed one important image and looked everywhere for it.
By a miracle I had a backup of my image directories on a Power Book that I am retiring and finally noticed that the missing image was there just before deleting that directory too! I then figured out why this image (and many others) had not been imported. So, now I am going through manually and adding extensions.
Does anyone know a better way -- to get Aperture to recognize extension-less images? If not, this needs to fixed in the next version as it is a disaster waiting to happen.

    Dual 2.7Ghz G5 ATI Radeon X800 XT 2.5 GB ram   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Well there's an idea...probably would need to go into Bridge <g> to do that most efficiently .. or Automator.
It turns out that I already had added extension to most (but not all) images in my main image directory and so they got into Aperture alright. I just have to go through all the images in the backup I just found (where many did not get extensions) to find the ones that Aperture missed. So far, there have been just a couple more...
The real problem is that Aperture should not be missing these, even if they are archaic. At the very least, Aperture's import should give a warning that there are files in a folder that it is not going to import AND is not even showing. Otherwise this is a serious gotcha!

  • PS CS3 does not recognize PS CS3 file

I downloaded a template for a CD cover, when I try to open the PS CS3 file, Photoshop CS3 tells me that it does not recognized this type of file. Does anyone know why this would be and/or how I can remedy the situation? Thanks.

I couldn’t find that extension at all under

So, Wig, how do You know it is a Photoshop CS3-file?

  • JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 does not recognize some CVS files

    Hi,
We have been using JDev 11.1.1.1.0 with no problems. We installed 11.1.1.2.0 into a SEPARATE directory (and did NOT migrate settings). We configured 11.1.1.2.0 as we had for 11.1.1.1.0.
All our applications use CVS for source control - we normally use WinCVS and JDeveloper on the same directory.
We then opened an application which we had previously been working in 11.1.1.1.0 (no file migration occurred - I assume because the jws and jpr are unchanged from 11.1.1.1.0 and 11.1.1.2.0). All the files are present (as expected) in the application navigator. However, we discovered that SOME of the files are NOT mark as being under CVS. So we are missing the version icon in the navigator and all the Versioning options (right-click) for those files are missing.
The files in these directories OK (have versioning):
    Project Source Paths:
    D:\appname\src\java (Java source directory)
D:\appname\src\web (Web app directory - often this is missing files in its ROOT directory, subdirs are OK.)
    Resources:
    D:\appname\src\config
The files in these directories are NOT OK (shown in navigator, but no versioning):
    D:\appname\src\ant (contains .xml, .properties, etc)
    D:\appname\src\lst (contains .lst)
    - We did a fresh CVS checkout using JDeveloper - same problem.
    - We tried playing with removing and readding resources from the Project Source paths. No luck.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
    Bob

    Hi Paul,
    Restart did NOT fix it.
CVS configuration is fine - I created a CVS connection and successfully did a fresh check out of a project. Even this fresh checkout has the same files missing the "Versioning" status in the Application Navigator.
We're hoping it's a configuration setting... It may be a bug I suppose...
    Thanks.
    Bob

  • Versioning does not recognize checked out files

SQL Developer 2.1.0.63 on Mac OSX 10.5.8
I have created a local repository and checked in a whole directory full of SQL scripts and package source. The import worked fine and all the files were checked back out. They show a 2 next to them which I assume is the version. The .svn contain original copies and what appears to be correct information. But none of the files have the checked out icon and all the Versioning menu items are grayed out.
I know it is recognizing it to some extent because when I hover over a file in the left panel (under files not the repository) I get something like the following:
    file: /Users/xxxxx/SQL/CODE/USER.FILENAME_ddl.sql
    svn: 2 - xxxxx - null
I have found almost nothing about this on the forums.

Nothing? Anyone else out there developing on Mac OSX?
