DNS trouble downloading and surfing

Hi.
I got somewhat of a problem when surfing on the web, and downloading, while using my 5800 XM as a modem.
After sometime surfing the web, my connection dies out, and same goes for downloads when i hit, blah, just 15-20MB, forcing me to disconnect, and reconnect again.
I have tried using the OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220) on my phone, but also the automatic (0.0.0.0 / 0.0.0.0), and i keep hitting the same wall over and over.
Even with the newest version of PC Suite, the problem stays.
I dunno if its because i use Windows 7, but i certainly didnt have this kind of trouble when i Windows XP.
And its only when i use the phone as modem, as i dont have the same problems downloading and surfing the web, with only my phone.
Any help please ?

A "waiting" app seems to be relatively common and I have not heard of a way of preventing it. To get rid of "waiting" one of the following usually woks:
- sign out and back in in iTunes
- Powering off and then back on your Ipod
- resetting your iPod
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Having trouble downloading and installing Premiere Elements 10 from my account.

    Hi Jeff,
    Thanks for your reply.
    Here’s what I downloaded from my account – PremiereElements_10LS_15_win64
I do get an error message when I double click to install:
“The file archive part of Adobe Premiere Elements 10 is missing.
You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Premiere Elements 10.
    Please download all parts”.
When on the Adobe site there are many choices which is confusing.
Please direct me to the correct one….
    I’m running Windows 8.1
    Thank you George

  • Having trouble downloading and installing iTunes to my pc Windows 7

I am having trouble downloading and installing iTunes to my PC with Windows 7.   I have been trying for 4 hours and can't get it to download.  Any suggestions?

Do you get an error message when you try to install iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

I am having trouble downloading and updating my apps for my IPad2. I am getting a messahe "Error 1004 try again later". Anyone experienced this?

    Hi John
iTunes Support wasn't of any use to me.
I have also been having another problem - with BBC iPlayer and other video streaming not working due to insufficient bandwidth, despite my overall download speed being consistently around 50Gb.  This is also affecting AppleTV downloads
I am using Virgin Media as my ISP, and was wondering whether you do as well.  This might be the common thread.

  • TS3212 Has anyone had trouble downloading and installing itunes 10.7?

Having trouble configuring my iPhone 5.  Keep getting message that I need itunes 10.7.  Have downloaded it, but when I check for current updates, it keeps telling me that I have the current version...10.6.3.  What am I doing wrong?

Yes, I'm on a mac. No telling where I ended up posting this. I don't usually use this type of support. Looks like it downloaded, and now when I try to install it (which I'm not even sure I should do, since I already have itunes on my mac), it says I need OS 10.6.8. I'm so confused.
Aaaaaah. You're on a Leopard system? Unfortunately, you'd need Snow leopard or higher to run 10.7.0.21 and your iPhone 5.
When you check in with the Apple Store folks, let them know what particular model of mac you have, so they can work out if it can run one of the newer operating systems (Snow Leopard or above).

  • Trouble downloading and updating new os 4.2.1

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem. It has been weeks of trying to download and update my iPhone 4 with the new os. When it is just about done downloading, it will pop up a screen saying "error, it has timed out. please check your internet connections." FYI I'm plugged into wall. I didn't have a problem updating the previous os. I've also uninstalled all Apple programs and reinstalled and it has changed nothing. Any suggestions on what to do?? I can't restore my phone either b/c it requires me to d/l the new os and I CAN'T!!! Please help!!!

If firewalls or security software has been ruled out, Go to http://www.speedguide.net:8080 to see if there are any network setting issue.
If you have another computer available, you can do a restore and update on it and then come back to sync your info back to this computer.

  • Trouble Downloading and Installing

I am having some trouble here. I tried downloading it and it did not work. I had the issue where you need to change the download file to .dmg. It was also opening Matlab and giving me this error for some reason. I figured out how to get past that and continued the steps to download. I am now able to get to the Adobe Flash Player installer and it begins to start at 0% and shortly after the screen goes black (the window itself). I have checked my plug in settings and allowed java. I have also tried to do the fresh install where you uninstall and then try to reinstall but when I go to download the file I can not open it and do not have the option to save as, when you right click. I am using a mac with operating system 10.10.1 I also have re-booted my computer.

Another possible solution might be to download/install the trial version of InDesign CS6 and then just convert it to be licensed under CCM. This shouldn't be required but if it is the only app giving you difficulties, it might be an easy workaround. This doc shows how to convert a trial to licensed under CCM.

  • Trouble downloading and installing adobe flash player on Macbook air

When trying to download from Adobe site, it stops mid way for no reason. After cancelling and resuming hundreds of times I get it going again to the end. After that, when I try to run the installation software, I get an error message illegal seek. Does anyone can help me?

You need to close the Safari process, not only the browser window.
If you don't know how to do that, restart your Mac, then run the downloaded installer before doing anything else.

  • My laptop is having trouble downloading and playing rentals from the iTunes store, I get a little way into the film and it stops playing and will not download any further. This has happened on two separate occasions, my laptop is under a year old?

I get a little way into the film (just 4 minutes this time!) and it stops playing or downloading. The remaining download time changes continually and will say anything from 6 minutes to 11 hours! My laptop shouldn't be the problem as it is under a year old and I haven't experierienced any other running problems with it... I hope I will not be charged for the film !!

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • Downloading and surfing

i am downloading songs directly from the iTunes on the iPhone...can i use safari at the same time or does it pause the download?...i have an original iPhone

Once you start Safari the iTunes application closes and downloading stops. It should resume downloading when you start the iTunes app again.

  • Hello I'm having trouble downloading and installing the iTunes program.

Whenever I go to download itunes I receive an error message saying, "The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured. Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified. Please run the installer again, or click Finish to exit".
Please help me download itunes from here. I've tried reinstalling iTunes like this error message prompts me to do but I keep receiving the same message over and over again. I would appreciate the help in getting iTunes back up and running correctly.

Hello pinku007, I just picked up my laptop from the repair shop and I'm afraid if I do a system restore the virus I had taken off will come back and cost me another $150 to remove. It sounds like a good idea but do you think system restore is something I should try at this point?
