i have a java application to which i have to implement pdf to word converter for that do Acrobat provide some api so that i can integrate it with my application

Thanks handar. As per your instructions I have tried OAM authorization policy and its working fine. But we also wants to check the same with OES also. Currently I have configure weblogic SM and created domain. In same domain I have deployed my application also. I have created application, resources and authorization policy to authorize /myfolder/index.jsp if user has some specific role. Now if I try to access my web application using http://host:8001/CONTEXT/myfolder/index.jsp, it doesn't check if user is authorized or not. I guess my application is not related to the resource I have created. Please help me with this. Also, let me know if we can retirive logged in user from session and use for authorization.

I'm a new on SOA and i want start to learn about this, and how integrate EBS and a JAVA application between them.
I read about the API's that EBS public (API Integrator), but, i don't have idea how i can consult this API's from a simple web services of my java aplication. It's posible to do that without use bpel?
You could see that i don't have any experience on this, so, if you could tealme about some papers and what tecnology i need to use to resolve that, would be great.

How to integrate BPM with Composite application created in Developer Studio

Hi,
I want to know what purpose can BPM fulfill in creating a composite application.
I want to execute various business processes like sales order creation etc. through CE. So should I use BPM components and avoid writing my own code logic and creating my own business objects in Developer studio?
Also how can I use BPM components in Developer Studio to achieve this?
Shall I create the Guided procedure model and UI in my composite application and then use BPM for business objects and the integration?
Plz give me a detail.

Hi Roshan,
you can use BPM or Guided Procedures to implement the business logic of your process.
BPM combines very nice with WebDynpro. There are some guidelines available at SCN here:

I am new to oracle BI.
I want to create an dashboard and score card for KPI's.
KPI data is collected in forms or other applications ,when ever there is an update in the data ,the change should be reflected in BI dashboard and score card.
can anyone guide me on this.

KPI's are for the DATA analysis..
In case if you want to report on some dummy values then create a KPI based on some numbers like 01.*100 or 10/34 etc..
OBIEE dont give you the feasibility to enter the data and store in the metadata...Its a intellience tool but not end user OLTP where you can enter the values.

our platform is Oracle 10g Forms and Reports deployed on Oracle 10g App Server.
Our goal is to implement Oracle BI Dashboards on this environment.
Our Project Goal is to demonstrate management with our application financial dashboards.
To achieve this we have installed OBIEE, OBIA and DAC and Informatica. as per the config doc i configured all components.
We also have 2 queries
1. To give demonstration to our Management can we use Oracle R12.1.1 as application in DAC and run the ETL loads to view data in Presentation services.Is this the correct way ?
2. How can i Integrate my present ERP with OBIA ?
Now can you please suggest any other easy and appropriate methods to implement Oracle BI
that is suitable to our platform.

My presentation catalog like dashboards which are came in at the installation time.
Those dashboards are not in the presentation server.
These dash boards are not visible on the server..
I don't know what happend

I use a OLD G3 when I travel and mostly I am connecting over the satellites which is not really the best connection.
I use GMX which is free and never have a problem getting my emails from anywhere even in the middle of the oceans.
It does work using Apple mail and the adress book

I currently using Safari 1.3.2 and Acrobat Reader 7.0.9 to test an PDF document embedded in a Web page. In Safari 1.3.2 I get a "This operation is not allowed" warning when the HTML object element and the embed element are encountered.
I have also tested it in Safari 3.0 on Windows, with plug-ins enabled in the Preferences and Acrobat Reader 8 installed. The PDF file is not shown and no warning is given either.
So, does Safari 2.0 support embedding PDF files at all?
My other question is, assuming Safari does support PDF embedding, whether it is possible to interface from an HTML page to the Acrobat plug-in via Acrobat's JavaScript API. In IE this is a simple as getting the object element by id and for example, invoking its Print() method. Is this possible in Safari?

There are no alternative voicemail apps - the core functionality of the phone can not be replaced.
You'll have to look for an external service, that can then forward calls for each caller onto the correct phone.
At our business we use Voipfone.co.uk which allows multiple phone lines to come into one VOIP account.

Remote Desktop Protocol Provider API

This is a duplicate of a post in the Visual C++ forum as I didn't realise this forum existed when I made it.
I'm trying to implement the Remote Desktop Protocol Provider API by creating a in-proc COM server which contains a IWRdsProtocolManager class. I have registered my class and can find its CLSID in the registry. When I call CoCreateInstance from
a test application, I can create the class and I can see the debug code in my constructor and Initialize method generating some output to a text file. However if I create a new key or replace the LoadableProtocol_Object value of the RDP-Tcp key with
my CLSID and then restart Remote Desktop Services, I don't see anything happening. There are no logs in Event Viewer and no debug output to my file. I have tried various methods to determine whether it is being loaded, but as far as I can tell
my protocol provider is never created by Remote Desktop Services.
Has anyone had some positive experience of this API and could point me in the right direction? I feel I must be missing something obvious for my DLL not to be loaded, even though I have carefully followed the instructions found here (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd919947%28v=vs.85%29.aspx).

Is it possible to Integrate dos with Java to create a sample compiler?

Is it possible to Integrate dos with Java to create a sample compiler, or do I have to write the compiler from scratch? In theory, I would like to have users enter sample code in a java text field, hit a java button that would compile/run the code, by calling a dos command prompt that would run it, and display any error messages back to the java text field. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Compiler class you might be able to use also:
C:\jdk1.3.1_01\docs\api\java\lang\Compiler.html
So perhaps there is no need to create a process to compile code. But I don't know if you can get information about compiler errors.

In the past,using one of the first versions of forms server 6,I don't know how(I couldn't reproduce the config on other machines),but I had a c-s form wich was displaying java beans(the HotLabelWrapper demo).
I thinck that forms server was also installed on that machine.

Apache is way faster and more scaleable than Tomcat.
So if your website provides also static content (pages, pictures) etc this would be the reason.
Additionally if you have other technology to include, that Tomcat cannot handle (PHP for example) you would do this with Apache, too.

The links above should help you do the basic configuration for Portal and ADS integration.
In addition to the links above -
If you are planning to create users (with passwords), configure LDAPS. This can be done by using Certificate Authority on the ADS server and importing the root certificate to the Portal server. I would also make sure the security policies on both servers match. The default port is 636.
Otherwise, the default port is 389.
If you plan to read other custom attributes from LDAP, modify the datasource configuration file.
