RenjanHI,
Its nothing but abap code,
where some bunch of
TYPES (data types) and some data declaration,
is already done.
(which we can use in other programs)
(as the name suggests,
it is a pool (bunch)
of TYPES.
It is type-pool (bunch of types)
required for ALV purpose.
(eg. variable for field catalogue, alv layout etc)
Advantage is that we have to use such types,
just by referring, them, (bcos they are already defined)
Types-Pool contains the TYPE declaration which is global and can be used across any program.Once we write
TYPE-POOL : <pool name>
It will include all declariuon in the program and we can refer those.
There are many standard types pool provided by SAP
like SLIS,ICON,ABAP etc.
However also,we can create our own Type-Pool using
SE11->Type Group.

How do attach LOGO to ALV ( object oriented)
Hi,
How do we attach logo to the output list of ALV.
Regards
VaraHi,
In the transaction OAOR, you should be able to insert your company Logo.
GOTO - OAOR (Business Document Navigator)
Give Class Name - PICTURES Class Type - OT..... then Execute
It will show you the list, then select ENJOYSAP_LOGO.
On that list, you will find one control with a "create" tab.
Click std. doc types.
Select SCREEN and double-click.
It will push FILE selection screen.
Select your company logo (.gif) and press OK.
It will ask for a description- for instance: "company logo".
It will let you know your doc has been stored successfully.
You can find your logo under ENJOYSAP_LOGO->Screen->company logo.
The following is the code for inserting the logo in ALV.
FORM TOP_OF_PAGE.
CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE'
EXPORTING
I_LOGO = 'ENJOYSAP_LOGO'
IT_LIST_COMMENTARY = GT_LIST_TOP_OF_PAGE.
ENDFORM.

Debugging a Module Pool Program(Object Oriented ABAP)
Hello Experts,
Could you please advise me on an efficient debugging technoque of Module Pool Program which is based on Object Oriented ABAP?Hi
Debugging Module pool program using ABAP objects is same as debugging any other report/module pool program.
Click on the Create shortcut icon on the toolbar.
In the popup window choose "System command" and in the command enter "/h"
A shortcut on the desktop would be created
Drag and drop the shortcut to the modal window to set debugging on.
Approach 2:
Create a txt file on the desktop with the following lines:
[FUNCTION]
Command=/H
Title=Debugger
Type=SystemCommandDrag and drop this file to the modal window to set debugging on.
How do I switch between the Classic and New Debugger
From within the ABAP workbench, select the Utilities->Settings Menu
Select the ABAP Editor Tab
Select the Debugging tab within the ABAP Editor Tab
Select the Classic Debugger or New Debugger radio button

ALV AutoRefresh....Using SLIS!
Haii All,
Is it possible to refresh my alv list as i am using the type-pools SLIS in my program. Actually i am calling a Trasaction (MM02) and when i make the changes in the transaction and come back the list should be updated. I have created a refresh button for this purpose which works fine..but it shouldn't be the case..i should not press any refresh button or so..I need the list to be Autorefreshed when i come back.
Best Regards,
ramaHello Rama,
You need to fatch the changed data after calling your MM02 from database and update the internal table for the ALV.
So, your USER_COMMAND should be like:
FORM USER_COMMAND USING R_UCOMM LIKE SY-UCOMM
RS_SELFIELD TYPE SLIS_SELFIELD.
***1. Call MM02 for material master change
***2 . update data in your ALV Output table which you have used in the FM to display the data
***3. refersh ALV...
RS_SELFIELD-REFRESH = 'X'.
ENDFORM. "USER_COMMAND

Can any one describe ne type pool slis?
can any one describe ne type pool slis and its fields.
Hi Ansuman Parhi,
1. in se11
2. in Type Group
(Also choose that corresponding radio button)
3. enter SLIS
4. Press F7 or Display button
Now u can see the Types available in SLIS
See the Comments in Source Code for understanding the use of each type of SLIS..
also have a look on below thread
Re: what is the use of slis type pool in alv reports?
Hope it will solve your problem..

Field symbols in Object Oriented ALV
Hi Friends....Can somebody explain me what is the significance of field symbols in OO ALV. Why it is assigned to Field catalog. Also explain me the basic steps to do Object Oriented ALV. Thanks in advance...
Hi Satyesh,
Field symbols are symbolic names to which a memory area can be assigned during program runtime. A field symbol can be used instead of data objects at operand positions of statements.
Please go through this following code. This uses field symbols for OO ALV.

Adding color to a row in alv grid not using object oriented.
Hello Gurus.
I want to display a row in color in alv grid using normal alv, not by using object oriented programming.
I am having one of the field say spart ie division in internal table itab.
The spart has values like 12 , 45, 67, 68 ,88 ,99.
when ever spart is 12 i want to display that row in color format. Here this table is sorted by mblnr so if 1st record is 12 then may be 50 th record will be 12. so when where the record contains the value has 12 then that row should be displayed in color. So please tell me how to do it. Previously i posted the same question but i got is by using object oriented. so please tell me how to do it without using object oriented.
Thanks for all the replies.Check this example code.

HOw to make an Object oriented alv respond to double click
Hi all,
HOw to make an Object oriented alv respond to double click.SAmple code will be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Alex.Hi,
1. Create a Control (for Custom and Split Containers only)
2. Instantiate a Container Object (in case of Custom and Split Containers, specify the control which is created by us in Screen painter) CREATE OBJECT
3. Instantiate an Object of the kind of report that has to be displayed (List, Grid or Tree). CREATE OBJECT . Here we need to specify the Parent Container as the so that it sits in that container.
4. Call appropriate methods to display the report on the screen. CALL METHOD ->
DATA : g_dock TYPE REF TO cl_gui_docking_container,
g_split TYPE REF TO cl_gui_easy_splitter_container,
g_cont1 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_container,
g_cont2 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_container,
g_grid1 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
g_grid2 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid.
i_mara is an internal table of structure MARA
SELECT * FROM mara INTO TABLE i_mara.
i_kna1 is an internal table of structure KNA1
SELECT * FROM kna1 INTO TABLE i_kna1.
To create an Object of type Docking Container
CREATE OBJECT g_dock
EXPORTING
side = cl_gui_docking_container=>dock_at_top
extension = 200 .
To Create an Object of Type Split Container. Here we can see that the Docking *Container Created above has been used as a parent .
CREATE OBJECT g_split
EXPORTING
parent = g_dock
orientation = 1 .
Easy Split container splits one Control into 2 manageable controls, each of them is used * to handle one GUI Container each
g_cont1 = g_split->top_left_container.
g_cont2 = g_split->bottom_right_container.
To Create an Object of type Grid . Here we can see that the Left Split Container * Created above has been used as a parent .
CREATE OBJECT g_grid1
EXPORTING
i_parent = g_cont1 .
To Create an Object of type Grid . Here we can see that the Right Split Container * Created above has been used as a parent .
CREATE OBJECT g_grid2
EXPORTING
i_parent = g_cont2 .
The method of Grid Control Object is used to display the Data.
CALL METHOD g_grid1->set_table_for_first_display
EXPORTING
i_structure_name = 'MARA'
CHANGING
it_outtab = i_mara[] .
