i wanna buy an at&t gophone from bestbuy.com, does it come with minutes already or do i need to buy a prepaid card with it? also does it come with a sim card already in it?

It does come with a prepaid SIM card, but most do not include any minutes or credit.

I dont think it come with the Micro Sim card. I believe that is only if you buy from a carrier, not when you buy from apple. I do know that you can go buy a rogers micro sim card for only $10, i called them and confirmed this. So it really isn't a big deal

You don't need to get the SIM immediately. You can activate the 3G data option at any time. You would need to check with the cellular providers in your area for options they offer.

That depends on how you bought the phone. A carrier linked phone will come with a sim card. An unlocked phone usually does not have a sim card.
Sim cards can be bought from your Cell carrier's stores. Apple does not sell sim cards.

bought my iPhone 5 the day it came out, from saudi arabia and every since then i have issues witht the connection, it keeps switching to no sim card or no service, and half the time showing no network from two operators( MOBILY network & JAIN network)

Chiming in from the US, it seems that a lot more of us are having this issue as well lately. My iPad has worked well under 3 OSs and I have never seen that NO SIM message until this week. I am running iOS 5 since it was released, but have not yet upgraded to iOS 5.0.1, and all of a sudden, I see that NO SIM message pretty much all the time.
I have never removed my SIM or had any trouble with 3G before this week. It's not a big problem for me since I don't use it very often at all - not even on a data plan now - but it's annoying and not what I paid for. And if it happens to my wife, she'll be in trouble.
Apple folks, has there been any official acknoeldgement for this issue, and has it been properly elevated so it will be addressed? There are quite a few threads on this out there.

It will not work with an egyptian SIM unless it is first unlocked first by Vodafone UK. Only Vodafone UK can unlock your phone. Contact them.

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to AT&T. Contact them to see

Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

You cannot use a SIM card on a carrier locaked phone, other than a sim from the carrier the phone is locked to. You must first get the carrier it is locked to, to unlock your phone. Apple does not unlock phones.

Unless the 4S was sold for Verizon, the CDMA module is disabled. Regardless, Verizon will not activate devices on their network that were not specifically sold for their network.
