Do charge card statement balances show up on CR's?

Will the statement balance of my Amex PRG show up on my credit report and count against my utilization? I haven't been maintaing a zero balance right before my statement cuts and I've sorta been assuming that it is negatively affecting my score. Today I read somewhere that charge cards don't report balances to CB's since they are PIF every month. I don't wanna pull a report just to find out since I'm assuming someone on here knows the answer to this question. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks guys. I'm currently carrying (small) balances on 4 cards (all 0%) because of tuition expenses. I'm only using AMEX for day to day stuff to ensure I PIF and lower my debt each month instead of increasing it. I just don't want it to look like I'm carrying 5 balances instead of 4. I could easily manipulate my spending to ensure it reports at 0 but I suppose there is no reason for me to bother with this as it doesn't affect my utilization. Besides I'm not applying for anything soon besides CLI's.

The amount is already credited to your account. Purchase something and it will use this balance.

Generaly, if you have an iTunes card and a valid credit card, you have the option of charging your purchases to eiher one or the other? By default, it goes to your iTunes card, but you can override that.

Charge cards' effect on FICO

I recently got my first charge cards and am a bit confused as to how they will affect my credit. I understand that only a few types of FICO scoring factor in charge card utilization. So does that mean I should pay off most of my bill right before my statement closes so that a small balance is reported?
Or should I charge up a lot on my first statement so that my "limit" will be that high utilization from the first month and every month after that have it be a small amount so that it's a low utilization?
Any advice on how to best affect my credit would be appreciated!

I had the same error when trying to update my apps on my ipod touch. I tried to input my security code numerous times to no avail. I also made sure my billing address was the same as what my bank had on file. To fix the issue I went into iTunes, logged onto the iTunes store, went to account settings and reviewed my recent purchases. Turned out that I had made a recent purchase and didn't have enough money left on my credit card to pay for it at the time. I paid off the credit card, and then input my security code once more and now it works fine. I've heard that some debit or pay as you go credit cards require a minimum balance, so make sure you have at least that amount in your account.

I made photobooks for christmas presents and have to pay for them on a family member's credit card, as I don't have one myself. What shows up on the credit card statement? Does it just say Apple or does it get more specific?

My daughter has redeemed her iTunes card. It shows her $25.00 balance, yet it will not deduct her iBook purchase from this balance. It is still trying to access our card.

That is what I was alluding to and I assumed that iTunes would send a warning to that effect. Its been so long since I used anything but a gift card I wasn't sure what the protocol was anymore.

Your balance should show to the left of account id at the top of the iTunes store page on your computer's iTunes. You can also check it by clicking on that id, or doing Store > View My Account, which should show your account balance and let you view your payment info

I was looking for some advise on how to keep my statement balances at zero. My Capital One QuicksilverOne due date is on the 4th of every month. I would prefer to pay my balance in full so they report my balance at ZERO. When should i make my payment? And when should i resume using my credit card? Example:Payment due date 8/4/2015I should make my payment by 7/30/2015 ???I shouldn't make my next charge until 8/5/2015 ???

The statement date is 3 days after the payment due date.So you can safely start making charges on 8/8.As to payment it depends how you make the payment. If you're making the payment electronically on their site you can do it the day before the statement date. But it's not always possible to get it to zero. E.g., you have a pending charge for $17.95. You try to pay that on the site before the statement cuts, they won't accept your payment if there's no balance. Then the statement cuts and the $17.95 shows up. Also if there's an interest charge or something, that might not show up until the statement cuts.Thanks. I'll just make a ZERO balance blackout from 8/2/2015 to 8/8/2015.

Wow! Purchasing a new computer and monitor should be a fun and exciting experience, and instead, it sounds like it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I can only imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your debit card account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused.
As I want to provide you some piece of mind, I pulled up your order number using your email address attached to the forum. After review of its payment information, I found we collected only one payment. However, when orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bank card to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear. This is the case for your one charge of $1,051.69.
It also sounds like an error may have occurred when you initially attempted to place your order, resulting in one of your gift cards not registering properly and the order not being completed. Your card’s issuing bank doesn’t appear to have recognized this and pushed through the pending authorization. This occurred a second time when your account information didn’t quite match up with what we had on file. Please know that we haven’t ordered a collection of these funds and your issuing bank should release the two pending authorizations within 5 to 7 business days.

If the amount of the purchase is close to $21.07, then you need to take into account taxes may be added.
If you go beyond the credit from a gift card the balance will be billed to your credit card account.

Why doesn't the iTunes store accept my charge card number?

iTunes store will not accept charge card number.

The number itself may be fine, check all of the other details that you've entered match those on your statement.

Diagnosis
The document to be posted is not completely in balance.
Entries involving items of the balance sheet or the income statement must always have a zero balance to ensure that both the balance sheet and the income statement are balanced, respectively. This is not true in this case.
System Response
Entry cannot be posted.
Procedure
Correct the amounts for the balance sheet items and/or income statement items.
I have checked the COI Settings and not showing any error.
I have analysed the problem and found that system is not picking one FS item 107501 i.e Profit and Loss CY.
Can any one suggest me how to resolve this.

i ll elaborate what i wanted to convey.
When we upload
1. TB Equal to ZERO
2. Net of BS items may not be equal to ZERO
Eg: if September 2010 (FY is April to Mar) file is being uploaded, the profit till the period September will be in PL items. so to the extent of profit element will be the difference in BS Items.
when u run profit calculation task, after data upload and validation, system will pass the following entry,
In case of Loss:
BS - Profit and loss - CY -           Dr
PL- Profit before MI         -          Cr
BS- BS Clearing A/c                     Cr
PL - PL Clearing A/c                    Dr
when u run PCC, system ll pick these two items *BS - Profit and loss - CY and BS- BS Clearing A/c. so obviously, posting cannot be done.
Please tell me if u still not understand

The card must be issued in the same country as the store you are trying to use. If you're trying to sign up for the US Apple Store, it must be a US card with a US billing address. If you're trying to sign up in India, it must be an Indian card with an Indian billing address.
Apple will run a small charge, which will be credited back, to make sure the card is valid. If it is a debit card and you do not have enough in the account to cover the authorization, it will be declined.
It is possible the currency conversion you mentioned may be causing a problem. Contact the issuing bank if you are sure you have enough in the account and you are signing up for the correct store.
