Do creative products work at all in windows 7?

It's a total f-up for me with fatality pro 7. (connected to logitec . ? I'm getting nothing, none of the settings in the console have any effect on my audio, like the crystaliser, EQ settings, etc. I'm gettinng basic stereo sound when I run apps but that's it.
?I ran the creative diagnostic tool, which is the most useless peice of software I've ever seen, all it does is run a series of tests and tell you nothing. When it came to the speakers tests, no sound came out of any of them, but it doesn't help you to diagnose the problem.
?If I run th THX setup console and do the speaker test, it recognises the L, R and center, but not the rear or sub.
?In the creativer conosle laucher, if I go to the encoder tab it won't let me choose dolby or DTS because it says the creative audio service is not started.
?I checked in services and the only creative service are Creative Audio Engine Licensing Service and Creative ALchemy AL6 Licensing Service and they are both started.
?I'm running the latest beta driver for windows 7 and I used the updater to get the latest console and I think it downlaoded a dts/dolby decoder as well..
?THe only time I can get 5. sound working in all the speakers is if I go to the sound control panel in windows, bring up the properties tab for the SPDIF out, go to the supported formats tab and do a test on the dolby digital and DTS, then I do get surround sound and the display on my speakers correctly changes to recieving DD and DTS while the tests run.
?So creative cards are just broken in windows 7, right?

I may have misread your post but it sounds like you're trying to install a support pack that's actually designed for Audigy's.
Far as I know there is no X-Fi 2.5 support pack...
When it comes to the X-Fi's he has numerous packs, so based on Creative drivers, some based on the Auzentech ones.
But either way he always states what cards are compatible with what pack in his initial post.

    yeah i did download and install the value added package, and restarted my flash cards, and i did change the setting of the flash card, at least now i can use it by moving my mouse to the top of the screen and they pop up. but yet, the FN key still not working at all.
    i couldnt really find "common modules" or "hot key" to download, could anyone post the link here? if that would make my FN key work just like before?

  • Flexible width won't work at all. Windows 8 issue?

    Few months ago I've been playing with Muse on trial version on Win7 and everything was just fine.
    Recently I bought Win8 and subscribed CC.
    I just wanted to create some sites now, but can't even start.
    The flexible browser width thing doesn't work at all.
    Rectangles/textures don't stretch to the full width of the browser after doing Previews.
    They just end up with the site content area...
    And yes I have watched the tutorial below and I'm sure I did it correctly (many times)
    But it just won't work on my computer/system.

    Uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Muse doesn't fix the problem.

    I can't understand why it's done this. After all, I'm always signed in as an administrator...
    The main theory is that something has gone wrong with an access control list (ACL) either on some registry key or a file or folder. (Or possibly that there is a "deny" of some sort associated with a key, file or folder ACL.) Because permissions get applied on a file-by-file, folder-by-folder, key-by-key basis (roughly speaking), even if you're an administrator your particular user account account may still lack permissions on one or some of those items. When we do the "run as administrator" thing, that gets us back the missing permissions.
    (I'm not sure of the fine details of the mechanism for granting explicit administrative rights via "run as administrator", but I figure I'm probably going to have to do some study on that pretty soon, given the efficacy of the "run as administrator" workaround in some of these user-specific QuickTime launch failures. A good metaphor for my current situation is that I know how to apply a bandage to a wound correctly in order to help wounds heal more quickly ... but I don't know precisely why applying the bandage makes the wound heal more quickly.)
    The only problem there is that every time it runs now, I get asked if the program can make modifications to my PC!
    That's interesting ... is it the same sort of message that you get from your User Account Control when you install new software?

  • Safari Not working at all! (Windows 7)

    Hi all,  have searched a lot of forums and haven't found a soluion to this one yet.
    I am using Windows 7, Safari 5.1.2,  iTunes 10.5.2, Quicktime 7.7.1
    Safari does not open any webpage although all other functions seem to work, iTuines Store only opens as simple HTML (see below), and only after some long wait.

    I recently had to do a System Restore on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and then I got the dreaded "Safari has stopped working" windows whenever I try to launch it.  To be more specific, Safari, doesn't even launch.  I get that message.  Then when I click "Close the program", I get the "Safari has stopped working" message again. After I close that, then it stops.
    I've tried reinstalling the latest version of Safari twice now, and it still isn't working. 
    I also tried creating another Windows account, and Safari does not work on the new account either, unfortunately.
    Finally, I also tried your "So-much-for-subtlety" instructions and that unfortunately did not work.

    Close and restart Photoshop if you have not already done so.
    In Photoshop, go to the Help - About Plug-in... menu then choose Camera Raw.  What version does it say there?

    I have CS2 and years ago used Photoshop and InDesign for making books. I would like to use it again for the same purpose.
    Will it work on either (or both) Windows 7pro and/or Windows 8?
    My computer died and I need a new one. If my older programs won't work at all on Windows 7 pro or Windows 8; then I would like to shift to Apple computer.
    However if they will still work on the newer operating systems (either 7 pro or 8) then I would buy a PC so I could use my CS2 still.
    I appreciate any ideas, opinions or experiences that can help me to decide which computer would help me best.
    Restating; if they won't work on the newer PCs then I'll get an Mac. If they will work on newer PC then I'll get a PC.

    I believe I have CS2 running on my Win7 Pro x64 desktop system (might be through the XP mode virtual machine, though), but I can't recall the last time I tried to use it.
    That said, your old installers will not work because the CS2 activation servers have long since been shut down. See Adobe - CS2 Downloads

  • My magic trackpad will not work (at all) in Parallels (W7)

    The trackpad works beautifully on my Intel iMac (Lion) 10.7.2, but will not work at all under Windows 7 on Parallels. All latest updates of everything to my knowledge.
    I find no notes on this either on the Parallels site or here. Am i the only one in the universe having this problem. To be clear, there is no response from the pad whatever - nada, bupkis.
    Maybe I have to pair it manually with Windows? That seems odd since everything else works fine that is connected to the iMac.

    I am not interested in switching to Creative Cloud, so don't even suggest it. I spoke to Mashmi (or something to that effect) on the "Support" Chat and there was absolutely no support. Useless actually.

    Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.
