Do different things on separate displays

So i've got my MB pro connect to a tv via dvi-hdmi. Is there any way that I can work on my MB pro while watching a movie or something else on the tv?
All i can do is mirror...when i turn mirroring off, i just get a blank desktop on my tv....

Which is correct and you can use your TV like any display. For instance, you can drag the DVD Player window into it, put into into full screen mode and watch a DVD on it.

I need to create an iView that will be receiving different events from other iViews. This receiving iView will display different things depending on the event (eg. image maps, data sheet, etc). How should I implement this iView? Should this iView be multi-component and then the events triggers the correct component? Or should this iView be multi JSP pages with one component handling the event and calling the correct JSP page? Or are there any other suggestions/examples out there?
The image map is not simple either. It has several hotspots on one image map.

Setting different resolution for two displays

Before I buy a Mac Mini I was wondering if I can connect two separate displays, one a 15" with XGA and the other a 8" with VGA. This is for an installation aboard a sailboat so I'm not looking to run HD, (not now anyway). I looked at the "System Preferences" on my MacBook to see what was available under "Display" and could not see where I can set up two displays with very different settings.
Is there a way to setup each display individually for simultaneous use? Thank you.

Yes, assuming that the 8" display has a resolution that the Mac can support. When you open the Displays system preference, you'll get a settings window on each display (as long as the option for Mirroring isn't checked).

The means that iTunes can no longer locate the songs (mp3/m4a) on the hard-drive and as such they won't even play in iTunes, let alone transfer to your iPod.
Have you recently re-organised your music folders? If you know where these songs are on your hard-drive then you could clear all of the tracks that display the symbol from iTunes and then add them again from their location either through the 'add folders to library' function or by dragging and dropping them diectly into iTunes from Windows Explorer.

PSE5 Rotating Photos - Different Things Happen Each Time???

I have PSE5 and my catalogue has photos from various different cameras. When I rotate photos so they can be viewed straight up and not sideways in the organizer, different things happen to different photos.
Sometimes a photo rotates with no fuss. Sometimes a photo rotates and creates a version set with the original, non-rotated version underneath. Why the difference? Sometimes the rotated copy I see after is narrower with some photos and with others the rotated copy doesn't appear to be as narrow.
Here's the even trickier part. It appears that the photos that rotate and display as the most narrow within the organizer are the ones that appear right side up (i.e. perfect) on my digital photo frame. The ones that I rotate and don't appear as narrow afterwards in the organizer do not appear properly in my photo frame and instead display sideways (non-rotated) on the frame. Does this make any sense at all???
Are there options or preferred ways to rotate. Basically what I am most interested in is finding a way to rotate photos so they all appear right-side up on my digital frame. Otherwise I won't be able to use those photos on my frame.

the key document you need is a list of actionscript classes. in the help files:
actionscript 3.0 language reference and components/all classes. every class is listed. within each class, its methods, properties and events are listed.
(there are also functions like setTimeout(), setInterval() and navigateToURL() that are not listed under classes but these are most quickly found by asking here or using google to find what you want: flash as3 link to url, for example.
anyway, the main document is that class list. now, unless you read the programming actionscript 3.0 section of the help documents or you have some experience with oop languages, you'll have no idea what class you need to check to find what you want. i don't know any way around that issue. either read about how to use as3 in the help docs or elsewhere so you grasp the most used classes or you'll need to use some reasoning and luck to find the class that has what you need.
for example, in this issue, you might have scanned that list and found the timer class because that looks like it has something to do with timing of events. of course, if you were looking for how to determine the time of day, you might check that class too and fail to check the correct class, the date class. but that's where luck comes in until you have experience.
expand the timer class docs and read about its properties and events. can you see it will do what you want? if you can't see that or you can't see how to use that info after you found it, you'll need to do more basic reading about how to use as3.

Certain things are not displaying of pages

Certain things are not displaying that I know are there. For example, on one of my websites there are 3 banner ads and the bottom of the pages plus there is another line that has ads scrolling across the page, I can see it with IE or Chrome but on Firefox all I see are 2 banner ads and no scrolling ads. This is just one example but it seems 1that certain graphics or banner ads do not display. The site I mentioned is at http://www.ViralTrafficMania.com.
Other people with Firefox say it displays fine so it must be something in my settings but I can't find it, please help.

You don't happen to run any ad blockers or script blockers or privacy extensions, do you? To see whether any of your extensions could be responsible for the blocking, try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Different views in PA20 (Display Personal Data)

in our (IDES) system I have seen that different persons could have a different view in PA20 (Display Personal Data).
For example one have a field 'First name' and a field 'Last name' and another have only one field full name.
Could somebody explain this?

This diferences may be exists because of ID of Country Group of this persons. Check if this persons contains the same MOLGA (Country Group).
In others cases, this diferences was related with de relation of Pers. Area and Subarea at 0001 infotype.

How do I output different sounds on multiple displays?

For example, if I connect my Macbook Pro to my TV via HDMI and make it as a separate display, how do I change the sound output so that sound that comes from the external display will only play from the external display while sound from my MacBook Pro will only play on the MacBook Pro?

I'm not sure if the MBP can do sound over HDMI because I've never tried.
All the sound output settings are in System Preferences> Sound > output tab.
There is a list of all available outputs under that output tab. If the HDMI output shows up, select it and your MBP will change the output. If not, I'm not sure.

Thats the problem I bought it from a very large thrift store. i went back asked the person where I bought the computer he said we can not give you the password. I thought buying it there was a good idea because not only was it a nice deal but it was like I was maknig a donation. I know that i messed up because i do not have the installation disk. Different screensaver for each display?

I'm pretty sure OS X out of the box doesn't do this, but has anyone found a way to designate a different screensaver for each display, or more specifically, only have the screensaver happen on one display, while the second display goes to sleep?

I guess that's not possible. From Web Dynpro side, dropdown is only one UI element. So different tooltip cannot be assigned.
However, You can find the which dropdown item is selected and assign the tooltip at runtime accordingly.
In wdDoModifyView method, you can assign the tooltip text.

Overloading methods that do logically different things, does this break any major principles?

This is something that's been bugging me for a bit now. In some cases you see code that is a series of overloads, but when you look at the actual implementation you realize they do logically different things. However writing them as overloads allows the caller
to ignore this and get the same end result. But would it be more sound to name the methods more explicitly then to write them as overloads?

I think you could define a class with many complex behavior, and the behavior has the same method name with different parameters like below:

I think it would be better not to use the “LoadWords(lines)” in the “public void LoadWords(string filePath)”. When you modify the “LoadWords(IEnumerable<string> words”, it would affect the “LoadWords(lines)” method and the function of the “LoadWords(lines)”method
might be effected.
