Do essbasse ASO applications support never consolidate(^) operator?

I do not want Tax Rate measure to be aggregated accross any entities, I have assigned never consolidate operator on this member. Though it is being rolled up to parent members across Enity dimension members.
I few forum I have found that never consolidate operator(^) is not supported and there is no clear explanation on this.
Do essbasse ASO applications support never consolidate(^) operator?

So to answer the question
Can you add a member with ^ in ASO, yes you can add it.
Will it behave like BSO ^ no it just behaves as "~". We might need a documentation update saying it won't work in ASO (How can never consolidate work on a consolidation cube!!!!)

TimG this remided me the discussion that we had on ASO never consolidate. So I went and looked at an ASO outline and it is there in the dropdown, however it is not in BSO. (Maybe it got switched )

NEVER(^) consolidate operator is consolidating to its parents

I have a BSO cube and when the aggregation operator is changed from IGNORE (~) to NEVER (^) . the aggregated values along other dimensions like Entities is not deleted despite running an aggregation after making this change.
Appreciate your input.

I think it will just ignore when a member with "Never Consolidate" occurs. Worth to test it out
If the SET AGGMISSG On does not work, You can write a simple script to FIX on that particular member (Which has Never (^)) and then do CLEARBLOCK UPPER;

I'm getting this error from an IOS app compiled with air 3.6.
No code has changed from Air 3.5 which is error free. Web app / android versions of the same codebase do not error.

I use swfloaders for loading embedded swf vector art graphics. This has not caused any issue until now. Should I load all art into the main app's application domain ?
The error does not crash the app and I could suppress it easily but is could the tip of the iceberg because application domains are scary stuff.

I'm using Hyperion Essbase 9.3.1.. I've used ^ (never consolidate) in some of my dimension members like rates so that they won't be added across dimensions. Am I right? It worked before. It just returned 0 for the totals which was my expected result. But now, I noticed that it wasn't working anymore. The rates add-up even after setting its consolidation operator to ^. I don't have any idea why. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Btw, its storage type is store only.

Please use tiled operation (~) to ignore the consolidation of a member.....after changed please reload the data and check..

ASO Application with Unicode-mode Support??

Hi All, I would like to know if its possible to create an ASOapplication with Unicode-mode support. I see BSO can be created as as Unicode-mode application ( bychecking the option) but none is available for ASO application inversion 7.1.5 Essbase Analytics. Please explain why this difference is there and if ASO isprogrammed to be Unicode-mode application by defualt. Thanks, EssbaseWorld

Got answer to my earlier question. ASO Application cannot support Unicode-Mode Apps at this time.

Missing application support folder or how to recover a folder

Hi,
I've searched the forum and see a lot of information on missing files/photos/operating systems/applications, but I've been unable to find information to help me recover my "Application Support" folder. It is usually in System>Library but now its not there and I have no idea where it went. I've searched in finder and nothing has come up. I've tried the same within Time Machine but I suppose its possible that the folder has been lost since before my backup.
Does anyone have any advice?

I can't use itunes because I don't have apple application support

I have recently got I new laptop, and I wished to transfer all my itunes libraries to my new laptop from my old. I plugged in my iPhone 3GS into my new computer, having not previously downloaded the latest update for either iTunes (on my old laptop) or my iPhone, the new laptop did it instantly. Therefore, it never gave me the option of transferring my purchases, which is what I had planned on doing, so I lost all my music and apps. However, I had my photos and contacts etc, and my music and apps were still on my old laptop, so I set up home share, and now have my library on both laptops, but cannot get my apps there and cannot get my library from my new laptop to my iPhone. So, not sure of what to do, I plugged my iPhone back into my old computer, which had the older version of iTunes, unlike my new laptop. ITunes then told me that I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it because it was the older version. I misread this stupidly, and dowloaded the newer version, which annoyingly didn't even download properly. So, after re-reading the message that came up when I plugged in my iPhone, I looked up on the apple website how to uninstall and reinstall iTunes etc, and it told me I had to uninstall a number of programmes, inlcuding Apple Application support, I wasn't 100% sure why I had to do this, but i thought it would be best if i followed the instructions, and so I erased that from my old laptop, and tried reinstalling itunes. After several attempts, iTunes wasn't even downloading, but eventually it worked, however, upon opening the programme, I recieve a message telling my to uninstall itunes and reinstall it because there is no Apple Application Support, so i do this but to no avail, the same message appears. I have tried installing Quick Time because I read on a website that it would help, but this also had no effect, I really need to get my music and apps back onto my phone, but without iTunes I don't know how! Help!

If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (part of the .Mac subscription), do I still need the folder called Backup, that is in my Library in the Application Support folder?

(There is no Backup folder in my Home Folder, to Library, to the Application Support folder.)
Backup was part of the .Mac subscription I used to have, and I have not used it since I gave up being a .Mac subscriber many years ago. In fact I recall Apple saying at one point that they no longer supported the Backup Application. I assume the Backup folder is just remnants from when I used to have that application, however I could be wrong, and don't want to trash the folder unwisely.
As I looked through the various items in the Backup folder, nothing appears to be modified since 2007, which further confirms that this folder is from long ago when I used to have that application. I did notice that the main Backup folder itself was the only thing that had a more current modification date on it. That date coincides with the date that I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac earlier this year. But I'm assuming that any operating system software installation will place a modification date on all the various folders of one's computer, with the date the new OS was installed.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

Hello Community, I hope ya'll can help me. I have a Dell Laptop with a 32-bit Operating System, running Windows 8 with Media Center. I Upgraded to Windows 8.1 recently. Some of my Apps I had with Win. 8 were not compatible with 8.1. This next is my problem, When I install iTunes everything downloads fine until I click finish. @ windows pop up, 1 after the other. The 1st one says, " Application Apple Support not found, Uninstall iTunes and try download again. " Then a second window says, " Error 2 ", "The iTunes Application cannot run without the Apple Support ...." What is this "Error 2" and is there a fix for this? Error in installing Apple Application Support preventing installation of iTunes, please help

I am trying to install iTunes for Windows (64 bit) but have been unsuccessful because I receive the following error message: "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type+"win32",version="8.0.50727.6195"publicKeyToken="1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". After receiving this error message the installation continues, but iTunes is never able to launch because it says that Apple Application Support is not installed. I've installed Firefox but don't have the Firefox folder in Application Support (but I need to access this to edit my profile since Firefox won't open)

Online troubleshooting tells me I have to go into my profile to edit something in order to get Firefox to launch. For now, it's telling me that only one copy of Firefox can be open at once. However, I don't have the Firefox folder in my Application Support, even though I've installed Firefox.

I get the same thing with Firefox, IE8, Opera, and Safari. It isn't a Firefox only problem.
Are you new to that webhosting service? Have you ever uploaded web pages to that same web hosting service previously, pages that worked after an upload? Are those pages listed as ''' "public" ''' pages in your web hosts control panel?
My suggestion is to "download" your homepage and associated files & images from your PC, up to the server, using your web hosts control panel and see how that works.
Beyond that, I suspect that you might have missed an important setting in Dreanweaver for uploading to the web host's server. You might try asking about this issue at a Dreamweaver support forum.

Apple Application Support won't install

I can't get the new itunes upgrade to install. I tried the update, that didn't work. So I unistalled itunes and quicktime thinking this might help. It didn't. I've tried everything the support says and it still won't download. I then downloaded only and when I go to the "open downloaded files" from the tool bar from the apple software update window, I click on the apple application support and I get this error:

I can install the itunes and quicktime from the update window, but without the application support, i can't do anything with it. Please Help!

Once in "Local Security Policy", I had to go into "Local Policies" to find "User Rights Assignment", so if you're having trouble finding it, you might check that folder.

Okay ... the key to the old iTunes issue was that there was a missing Administrators and/or SERVICE in there, so I think we've ruled that possibility out.
I think we can probably rule out the "broken Windows Modules Installer" possibility with you too. Although the poor folks with that variant of things (typically on Vista 64-bit Home Premium boxes) get a 1935 when they try to download the redistributable security update, they typically can't get any Windows Updates to install, and their error message codes are consistently Code 0x80070424 on both the failing Windows updates and the failing iTunes installs.

If you're game for more experimentation, there's a couple more things I can think of that might be worth pursuing.
The first one is operating system damage. If perhaps one or the other of those files we tried reregistering/resetting (using the Fixit) are damaged rather than deregistered or otherwise-grumpy, then an sfc scannow may be able to help with matters.
So perhaps try running an sfc /scannow as per the following document:

If the scannow reports that it can't repair any files, could you let us know what the sfcdetails.txt says about them?
If the scannow does find and repair damaged files, do you have any better luck with the updates and/or iTunes install?
