Do gift cards expire in Australia?

My work gave everyone an iPad but since I already had one we were allowed to get a gift card for the amount.
We were told by Apple that these cards never expire.
That was about 3 -4 years ago.
Should I go and redeem it incase I get told that they have an expiry date...even though there isn't one on the card itself?

The Apple gift cards do not have an expiration time, are usable for years based on my experience with them.

I'm having a heck of a time redeeming a gift card I bought several years ago. Every time I try to use it, it sends me in circles making me change my Apple ID just to continue and then it won't let me buy anything even after I give it the number on the card. Very frustrating! No wonder the card is so old. Do they expire or something?

There's nothing special you need to do, so clearly there is a problem. If it's a really old card, it's not impossible that Apple's changed things in the iTunes Store so that the card isn't being recognized. Go here:

Can I transter my USA Apple Store gift card to the Australia Apple Store?

I have a $150 Apple Store gift card from the USA where I was previously living. I have now moved to Australia and would like to use the gift card in the Australian Apple Store.
Would it be possible to do this? The gift card says it is 'valid only in the USA' but given that Apple is such an international company generally with excellent customer service I would hope to transferring it is a possibility.

You can't. It's only valid in the US.
There are complex accounting and tax reasons as to why this is true.

What is the last day to get $100 App Store Gift Card?

Does anyone know when the current educational promotion (for the $100 App Store Gift Card) expire? I've looked everywhere and can't find it.
I went into the Apple store yesterday to buy a 27” iMac but the configuration I wanted was not in stock and was told I could order it online and have it shipped to the store. This morning I got an email from by Apple Visa saying they have a special 18-month No Interest offer on all purchases over $999 if I buy something at the Apple Store or Apple online store in between 8/15-11/1. I don’t mind waiting, but I was wondering, when does the current educational promotion (for the $100 App Store Gift Card) expire? I’d like to get the $100 App Store Gift Card and the no interest, but if the promotion ends before 8/15 I would have to make a decision on which has a better value to me.

Thanks I found conflicting schedules on the promotion, some say August 20, and some say August 6. But more often then not they have September 6 as the end of the deal. This is great, I have my iMac saved in my cart and I just have to wait 2 weeks to make sure I get the no-interest deal on top of the $100 card. Being able to spread the payments out makes it easier for me to add in some upgrades, hello I7, 3TB fusion, and 2gb video card... my daughter is going to be so happy, and she can load it up with $100 app store gift card.

Make an appointment at the genius bar and see what they say.
If it's over a year old, then it's not covered under warranty.

Gift Card shows up as Inactive

4 years ago my sons gave me a $50 gift card for Father's Day. I finally tried to use it yesterday but at the store it came up as Inactive. I did not think these gift cards expired. Why would it show up as Inactive?

I received a US iTunes gift card for Christmas but currently have my apple ID registered in Australia. I tried to switch my iTunes store registration from Australia to the US to redeem my gift card, but am unable to do so because iTunes says "you still have rentals that have not expired". How do I delete the rental record so I can switch the country and redeem my gift card? Thanks

You can ONLY use the itunes store of your country of residence AND ONLY while you are physically located inside the borders of that country.
