Do I build my site in Edge or Muse?

I am new at this and don't know anything about writing code. I am using PhotoShop CS6, Edge, and Muse to build a website. I have built a 60 second, interactive home page but I don't know how to make the navigation buttons work for other pages that I plan to build in Muse. I think I am correct that I don't build one long running site in Edge? If I am supposed to add Actions to text or buttons to make them navigate to other places, how do I add URLs to pages that haven't been built yet? My understanding is that Muse easily assigns hyperlinks to pages, but that is when they are built in Muse? I see tutorial showing how to build nav buttons to add into Muse but that seems like it would overwrite all my work to have animation and effects on the home page text that I want to link to other pages.
Do I build each page independently in Edge and then place them on page locations in Muse? Or can I use the home page as my template to build the other pages in Muse? I know this shows my ignorance, but I have to start somewhere. I am catching on to working the different programs, it is more a clarity of work flow from one to the other that I need help with.

see what they say. I have lots of time because my iMac is just fine at present, however it's getting older. My husband just got a new one and is also running into a problem with old spreadsheets. I want to take care of it before I'm forced to switch all my files onto a new computer like he had to. Hopefully I have a year or more before this will happen. However my computer was purchased in 2007, so it's about time I update my old ClarisWork and Appleworks files. I loved Appleworks! I'm so upset as I've used it for at least 25 years. Now I'm paying for my stubborness to change, even though I was warned when I bought this computer! Thanks everyone for all your input.

If internet-wide accessability is important, it would probably be a mistake to use anything other than JSP/Servlets to generate simple HTML forms. To date, this has been the formula for success for every significant effort at web-based business. The large majority of clients are using older machines on dial-up connections: conditions that tend to make fancy client interfaces difficult to implement, even in a homogenous environment.

There is no specific function that turns FGL on or off.
When you say that it has stopped, do you mean that the handles no longer show?
If that is the case, then I think you may have modified the CSS to such an extent that Dreamweaver no longer recognises it as belonging to FGL.
There are a couple of avenues for you
Redo the site and make sure not to touch the FGL CSS
paste the code here so that we can see what has gone wrong.

Yes you can! It is a Basic level site but you can build it without Muse. I think you may need to create the site originally with Dreamweaver or Muse (meaning creating the site with Business Catalyst not building the site) but once that is done you can use any software to create the code for the site and upload it via SFTP. Hope that makes sense.

Just updated to Firefox 3.6.9 this morning. I'm building a site using Dreamweaver CS3 for a class and the Preview feature was working fine before the update. I can preview my pages in other browsers successfully, but now if I choose Firefox, no window opens.

Sorry, Mozilla did a security fix that broke Dreamweaver with Firefox. Virtually no other programs were broken with that fix, and considering the age of Dreamweaver (~5 years since it was last updated) they decided not to back-out that security fix for one old, elderly program. This problem was discussed at length back in January and February after Firefox 3.6 was first released.

If you mean using Adobe Muse project file (.muse) in any other software, then I am not aware of any software that allows this.
the first option you have, export your website as html and start working on the code using any html editor like Dreamweaver or any other similar application.

A site can be made in any program and imported into DW. DW simply allows one to edit HTML/CSS/etc, and organize all site files within the application. I think that was the confusion in Nancy's response of what you meant by certified. But to further what Nancy said, Spry has been openly discussed by Adobe and is no longer being developed ( http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2012/08/update-on-adobe-spry-framework-availability.htm l ) so your clients are actually setting themselves up for a bad situation especially if they go to upgrade their software. The same could be said for the widget browser.
I'm assuming since this client is not doing the job themselves, that they might not have the resources to keep making manual updates on the backend in Dreamweaver. Might it not be worthwhile to propose to them that you outsource developing a site in a CMS like a Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, Pyrocms, Perch, etc, etc. (the list goes on). Then they wouldn't even need DW to make changes to the website and the website would be programmed into the system so all they would need to do is add/remove options from the backend as necessary not interacting with the code. And from the looks of it, this is not a site that is going to be overly dynamic or need to be updated a lot so templating for 2 pages on a CMS would be fairly easy work.

Show us the part of your code that actually does the output. If it's a Transformer, you'll need to put in the code that I posted in this forum twice just last week. If it's something else, then, I don't know, you'll need to do something else. But I don't see anything in that link that actually outputs XML.

Site properties set in Muse, appear wrong on the IPhone

I am creating a mobile site of my desktop flash version. "www.go-film.de". I love the idea of creating websides without any coding experience. So I start to translate the flash version, in a lighter html IOS copy.
It works perfect, except the fact that the screen always appears with a grey bg-bar on the right side. The site-properties in muse are 640x960 and the margins on all sides set to zero.
This is a problem witch I can´t fix. Maybe it would be a good idea to put some presets for mobile devices. I searched the web for that issue, without any success.
Maybe somebody out there can help?

Muse is obviously well suited for building web sites for viewing on many different platforms and browsers. We've not announced formal support for mobile devices and tablets, but we continue to try to improve the code Muse generates to support these platforms.
Once we see ourselves clear of the 1.0 release we would love to explore ways of making it easier for you to design both websites that work well across a wide variety of platforms as well as the ability for you to customize your website for specific platforms (example a very different design when the viewer is on a desktop machine, tablet or mobile phone).

Is there a way to copy a single page from one site to another within Muse (both muse sites)? What exactly does the "Export Page" direction do? I can't seem to determine how to "import" that page?

By default there's no automated way to move page from one site to another within Adobe Muse. However, you may manually copy the content of the page and paste in place on the new page you created in another muse site.

As far as your another query is concerned, the export page option you see as shown below :
is used when you publish the site to the hosting service and if you un-check this option the page won't be uploaded to the hosting service or won't be exported.
