Do I have an oddly obsolete SB card? ES LS? Europ

Hello all! On my HP Pavilion (20 months old, 3.06 GHz, GB RAM, 200GB HDD, GeForce 4 video) I have an SB Audigy sound card on it but I've been having some problems with my Cakewalk Plasma program. I've upped the RAM on the puter, put in a better PSU, improved case cooling, updated the nvidia video card, and the program is more stable but I still experienced a freeze the other day. I now want to update the driver for my Audigy but I can't seem to find a thing for it.
Last night I removed it from the MOBO and the card reads Sound Blaster AUdigy EAX Advanced HD. The model number is SB060. The Creative website has an update for LS series but I think I may have an ES. There is printing on the chip and I read somewhere that LS's dont have this. Also the card doesn't have Firewire support but does have MIDI and I like to create my own music.
I tried something by going to the European support of the Creative site and I did find a category for ES Audigy. But is there something important I need to know about the regional difference? Also while I'm in Windows I'll take a look at the device manager to see what it call tell me and it states that the card is simply Creative SB Audigy, no tag lines after it. Some features under the Creative start menu are "Play Center" and EAX effects, Soundfonts, recorder, mixer.
Should I try using the Euopean ES update(s) or stay with the domestic stuff? If it's better for me to change the card with say a Audigy 2 is it possible to plug the MIDI keyboard into is via the firewire port?
Thanx big time! ChrisMessage Edited by cbradshw on 2-07-2004 05:59 PM

Almost forgot, the games that give me the most trouble for stuttering are C&C Generals and Lord Of The Rings: The Battle For Middle Earth.
I'm going to dig through each game's ini file, and search on the internet to see if there is anything that could help me. It's also a possibility that the stuttering could be a bug in ATI's Catalyst 5. drivers.
