You will need 10.6.8 so you can access the Mac App Store and you'll also need a mac that can run Mavericks. You can verify if your mac can run Mavericks by looking at the system requirements once you're on the Mac App Store.

What Russa is saying is that if you don't save "Install OS X Mountain Lion.app" before you install you'll need to download it again each time. It's important to save it before you install because it self-destructs after restart.

Also, downloads are for only one platform, so the answer is yes only if both computers are windows computers or both are macs. To do one each you need the boxed version.

If you each sign into your account in the iTunes Store in the iTunes app on your computer, you can go to Store/Authorize This Computer in the menubar and authorize the computer to use everthing that you purchase and download from your account. Those items should then sync and work on each others individual iPads.
Just remember that if an app that you bought needs to be updated, you will need to log into your iTunes Store account to update it. Her account cannot be used to update your purchases and vice versa.
You can each authorize up to five computers to use the media and apps purchased from your individual iTunes Store accounts.

The best procedure is to download Lion once but don't install immediately.
First, locate & copy the installer - preferably to another drive. Having done that you can then go ahead with the 1st install.
Subsequently copy the installer in turn to each other drive and install as required.
Note: the installer will be automatically deleted at the end of the installation if on the same drive as the new installation.
If you do what several posters have suggested you will be downloading the installer multiple times - which won't cost you as long as you log in to the App Store with the same ID & password. However, It will again take the download time and the install time.
Note also: When you login to install on another drive connected to your 1st Lion installation App Store won't give you the option of another install unless you hold the Option key while clicking on purchases.

You can use it on all the Macs you own. To save time downloading, after you DL it the first time,choose "Install Later". Then duplicate the "Install Mac OS X ML" in your Applications folder and save it off to disk. Then go back and double-click on "Install Mac OS X" in your Applications folder to begin the install.

I didn't know about that, though that only seems to apply if you buy the phone at the 2yr contract price, therefore if you buy the phone at retail price, or bring in an unlocked phone, a SIM without a data plan could be used in a smartphone and the smartphone should work without a data plan
With Verizon on the other hand, being a CDMA network and no CDMA phone can be "unlocked" and doesn't use SIM cards, even if someone did bring in their own CDMA smartphone (flashed for Verizon of course) or bought their smartphone at retail price, they would still need a data plan, wouldn't they?

I bought an Ipad and bought Numbers and Pages for it. $19.99 each and now bought a MacBook Pro. Do I have to buy another copy of each for my MacBook Pro? I only bought it for my ipad because I assumed it would be for both and I wouldn't have to buy a word processor suite if I bought Pages. Does Apple nickel and dime you for stuff like this often? that they brag is useable between all devices? Please let me know so I can return this before my time is up.

Allan is right, the App Stores for OS X (Mac) and iOS (iPad/iPhone) have nothing to do with each other.
It's not a secret, and whoever has told you different was wrong. Many of us have paid for both, but the good news is that you do NOT have to buy the whole suite, but you can purchase only the app(s) you want or need. Try that with MS Office...

I purchased Game of Thrones Season 1, via my Fios cable box and was able to watch it fine. Today, I tried watching it on my computer.. and while the option is there (Season 1 bundle) when I click it.. it starts to play an episode of Bad Girls!? I tried every which way I could, including searching for Game of Thrones on the website.. but for season 1 it just gives me the option of buying and I ended up buying an episode I already own with the bundle as a result.
Is this how it works? I have to buy it again to watch it on each device? I thought I could watch it on the TV and also on my computer.. ? Why would it not let me watch it on the computer but make purchase each episode all over again?

You should be able to watch it on any fios connected device. Sounds like a glitch to me. Since these are peer to peer forums... although Verizon does esculate issues for support....which they might for you, you might want to call them about this.

You don't buy it, it's free for 5GB, but you can buy more storage if needed (most users don't need it). And if each device is set up to use the same icloud account, then they all share it.
