Now, iWork apps are sold separately, so you have to buy each one separately if you want all of them on the iPad

No... u can click on your purchases holding down the option key and it will allow you to download lion again
copy this from your applications folder to your other mac's application folder and just click install
that's what i did.
i also made a usb key of lion following these instructions...

So I was cleaning up old files on my mac and I think I accidentally deleted some important system files while I was doing this, long story short I couldn't get the photobooth app to function so I thought I could save my most important files onto an external storage drive and do a clean install of yosemite to fix my problem. Well it worked but I now no longer have the pages, numbers, or keynote apps on my laptop nor do they show up as purchases on my mac's app store even though I'm using the same account and they were there before this whole fiasco started. Help please I don't know what to do and I need to access to these programs for school.

They announced Mavericks and free iwork with new hardware at exactly the same time...
How could you have Mavericks pre-loaded but have no access to iwork... It makes no sense...
Are you sure you bought your computer preloaded with Mavericks?
Mavericks was announced in June... and released in October...
Maybe I missed the iwork (free release) dates in the June and October Keynotes.

You have to order each book separately, if the books are different. Only multiple copies of the same book can be ordered in the same order, see here

No ideas, but I wanted to let you and the community know that following update of my iPad 2 to iOS 7.1, all three iWork apps crash within a second of opening.
Re-power and soft reset made no difference.

I had a problem with my apps pages , numbers and keynote. My MBP showed me that i had to update pages , number and keynote , but i couldn't. I tryed many things to solve it but nothing worked , soo i tryed to deleted them so that i maybe could redownload them. But now i have to buy them despite i allready bought them ( ordered them preinstaled ) !!!
Soo my question how can i get them back ?

You need to speak directly to the vender, Apple or 3rd party, that sold and installed the apps.

I think when uninstalling you may also have to choose (tick) to delete the preferences and other personal data like the bookmarks, stored passwords etc. to erase completely. If you are installing afresh, please try right-clicking on the file and '''Run as administrator''' to install. And when uninstalling, please also make sure choose to delete all data and also manually delete any '''Mozilla''', '''Mozilla Firefox''' or '''Firefox''' from %appdata%, %localappdata% and %programfiles%. You can open a location by typing for eg. %appdata% in the '''Run''' box (Windows key + R). You may also have to check the '''VirtualStore''' folder in %localappdata%. Files in the VirtualStore can be problematic. I think a clean installation may help.

Please note that using system restore would usually damage the Firefox installation.

When I try to save a document on the iMac it tells me I must buy an iWorks serial number, but the App Store shows the applications as installed and will not process the request. How do I correct?

Did you pay for iWorks to come preinstalled on the iMac? Because it sounds like what you have is a trial version, which is why it is stating that you need to buy a serial number.
I suggest that you delete the entire trial iWorks suite. Once they are safely in the Trash where the Mac App Store can't see them, you can sign into your account on the MAS and download the MAS versions that you own a license to use.

You must be signed into the Apple Store with your Apple ID or it won't work.

If you want to have Pages, Numbers and Keynote on the iPad then you will need to buy the app versions from the iTunes app store - the Mac version (OS X) is not compatible with the iPad (iOS), they are different operating systems.

Really appreciate your help with this. I am a bit of a novice here.. but.. After some more searching on this issue I notice your comments (cut/pasted below) with respect to this router and bridging mode. You mentioned that I should update my firmware on this router and that this would (if I am interpreting your reply correctly) facilitate my LAN to LAN connection and of course using this router simply as an access point and more to the point - having the use of the guest network. So my question is even if I did update firmware, seems I would still require 3rd party software to make this work? (re your last sentence in your comments below) Just need to understand the process and determine whether or not it is worth it (or maybe I should upgrade the router) but I don't want to change the configs of the network wired router at this time... and need to use the E2500 or facsimile as simply an access point with guest network functionality, Thanks much appreciated.

I bought a MacBook Pro retina less than a year ago and I thought Pages, Numbers and Keynote would come with the purchase given that's what it says on this site. Do I really have to buy them so I can have a "basic" computer?

You need to have either owned previous versions of the iWork Apps or have bought the Mac after September 2013.
You already have a "basic" computer, what have you been doing for the last year?
If you want the latest iWork Apps (not a good idea IMHO) you can buy the iWork '09 boxed DVD for US$19.99 from Amazon and that will entitle you to free upgrades to the current versions, but be warned the latest versions are actually inferior to the previous versions and are buggy:

I have used Pages 09 and Keynote without any major problems until this new update. I have read many of the fixes but have a problem. When you get Pages 09 and Keynote back, Apples continues to want to update the 09 system. So it stays updated.

I can't say that I have had a problem playing videos in Flash because I could always play them in browsers other than Firefox.
In Firefox Tools>options>Advanced Hardware acceleration is turned on.
I don't know if that is different that tuning it off and on in Flash or not, but for now it is a moot point.
As I stated in my previous message, after following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. But The latest one, someone suggested that maybe version 17 of Flash might be a stable version.
I made no other changes except to install it, a few days ago, and so far so good.
