Sorry for the insanely long subject title..
I have Skype installed on 3 personal devices and my employer would like me to install it (under my personal account) on 2 additional devices. I'd prefer that no old chat histories saved on the cloud autopopulate on work machines. Is there a way to accomplish this without deleting all past conversations with friends and family?
If it matters, all machines are Mac OS.

Create a new account to use for work and restrict the contact list to people you would be using Skype with at work.. Period. I would not compromise on this. Lots of us do this so there is separation between these "worlds" in our lives.
Yes, chat history (if I recall correctly, up to 30 days' worth) will populate on new devices when an account is signed on for the first time.
Yes, there will be a few limitations: mobile devices and tablets can be signed on to only one Skype account at a time. Mac does not provide a neat or easy way to have multiple instances of Skype running simultaneously as the Windows Desktop version does. So, if you must have your personal Skype up and running, do so on one of your personal mobile devices. Use the Skype account reserved for work use on those devices your employer requests.

Can a hacker have access to old chat logs?

It seems like a friend of mine got their Skype account hacked, and is worried that the people who did it have access to old chat logs, since there is no info of bank account or personal stuff on it.
As soon as possible, this friend of mine will put up a report on the matter, but should they be worried about it?

Strictly speaking, no, the same user cannot have access to more than one workspace. But, there is nothing stopping you from creating the same username/password combination in more than one workspace. This can be done from within the workspace itself, or you can do it from the ApEx management console (the INTERNAL workspace).

HOW TO DISPLAY ALL CHAT LOG HISTORY?

Hello, in 6.21 and before, there was a button which allowed you to open all of your chat history with the click of a button ("all time"). Now it seems like it opens up like... 5 more messages a time if you scroll up. This is useless.
Is there a way to get all the history data without having to search for a keyword at the start of your conversation?

It is coming the wrong time in my messages. I want it to have the same time zone as in my computer.
I want to fix the time in the skype messages and I also want to have more chat log history on the recent conversations (at least one week).
I also need more options on the writing format.

Phone clears all chats and call logs

Several times a day my phone will show the hour glass and at that time the phone is not usable. Afterwards all of my BB chats, gmail chats, and phone call log is erased. Sometimes it will occur 10 times a day. How do I fix this problem

I am using firefox 4. In the privacy tab i have slected clear all private data when i close firefox. Unfortunately firefox not doing what i asked it to do. In addition too many problems with extensions like Kasperesky Virtual keyboard, JAVA, etc.

Are you opening tab with those pages via session restore?
Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
You may want to revert the change that has been made to the default value (0) of the pref browser.sessionstore.privacy_level and set the value to 1 that is used in Firefox 3 or disable saving such data with a value of 2.

Chat logs pop out in another device/computer

Hello,
Everytime i log in to another computer or mobile device, all the previous chats will pops out when the user comes online. I've already disabled the history and cleared the chat logs but problem still persist.
I was thinking the logs were stored in the skype server. Is there a way to disable/remove the logs from popping out in the future?

I too am puzzled that both Apple and AT&T were apparently unaware that you had a modem, not a gateway.
If you had a gateway (which is a combination modem/router on one chassis with 3-4 ethernet ports), and you were configuring your AirPort Extreme to work with that device, then in that case, the correct setting would have been "bridge mode".

This is the correct setting for the AirPort Extreme when it is connected to a simple modem (one ethernet port). Since your modem only delivers one IP address, you must have the AirPort Extreme configured to "share that IP address" in order to have the device furnish separate IP addresses to each of your devices on the network.
With the AirPort Extreme in bridge mode, it was passing through the single IP address from the modem and only one device on your network was receiving that IP address. That's why you saw conflicts about another device using the same address.
Sounds like you are all set. This should work very well for you.

Unsecure Chat Logging Practice, serious security i...

So as I was looking at skype's data storing directories, (%Appdata%\Skype) I have discovered some text log files. In User\Chatsync folders, is where these logs are kept.
With a simple text editor, I can open these .dat files, and see messages that were privately sent through skype messaging.
This is a serious issue.
In plain text, it's possibly the worst way to store data. I can see the chats of every account that has logged on to this computer. (I have multiple accounts).
I'm deeply concerned, as I could quickly write up a python script to clean up the file and read supposedly "private" chats.
Please fix this, and encrypt all chat logs.

Saving chat logs when reseting computer

Hi!
My laptop is in desperate need of some tough love so I'm going to reset it to the way it was when I bought it. The problem is that it means I will lose all saved data and I really don't want to loose my chat history. Is there any way to save skype with all chat logs on say an external HD and then reinstall it on my laptop again when I'm done? Or will I have to choose between having an incredibly slow computer (possibly with a virus on it) and hours of hours of conversations that are really important to me?

Netflix. Whenever I watch a movie, there's an ad bar at the top. It went away after I cleared all cookies and cache, but two days later, it's back.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Can't open my attached files on my yahoo email account unless clearing all history on Firefox - this is maddening!! Help!

Everytime I want to open an attached file on my yahoo email, I now have to clear all the history including: Browsing and download history, Form and search history, cookies, and cache before I can open attachments on my yahoo mail and then I have to re-enter all my passwords, etc.
This was previously not a problem opening any attached files like PDF files or document files.

I have unchecked clear active logins and everything to do with removing passwords and I still have to login to websites. How do I get this to keep me logged in on a few sites?

With Yahoo and Facebook, they have a box you can check to keep you logged in, but every time I close out my browser it is erased and I have to login all over again. I unchecked everything that has to do with erasing saved passwords, and active login information but it is still doing it. How do I get the browser to keep me logged in on the different websites that I would like it to remember?

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed. 
In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

I see by your post that you are having issues with the print spooler on the Windows 7 computers.

Try running the Microsoft Fix It Tool to see if it will fix the print spooler.
Diagnose and repair Windows File and Folder Problems automatically.
You can also run the System File Checker to repair corrupted or missing files.
System File Checker: Run sfc /scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.
You might end up having to do a repair of Windows.
