Do I have to pay a cancellation fee?

I was wondering, before I get the iPhone, if I would have to pay a cancellation fee for porting over my current VZW #? I am currently using a family plan, and if I am the only one porting over the #, would I still have to pay a cancellation fee? Considering that my other family members are still using the VZW family plan.

I'm not shh524.. but to answer your question..it's different with everyone. It's known that Verizon does take a while to port a number over. I've heard it happens in minutes as well as 24-48 hrs. You will get a text message alerting you that you can now make and receive calls. During that period, I you can make calls from your iPhone, but have the possibility of receiving calls from your old phone. That, of course, is just temporary until your number is ported over completely.

    I have appleTV and I pay nothing to apple on a monthly basis. If u want to use Netflix then u pay Netflix not apple. Access to your iTunes and photo stream, youtube, movies you have purchased  or tv shows you have already purchased are at no additional cost providing You have wifi access.

    I agree with Matthew that I cannot be sure exactly what you are asking.
    Generally i regard it as less risk to yourself to schedule and pay Pearson Vue directly.
    However if you contact the exam center and get them to schedule for you my understanding is you pay them. Unfortunately there is risk of the exam center overcharging you (99%++ of most most worldwide wont).
    The only reasons for doing this I can think of is (there may be more) :-
    - is if you do not have credit/debit cards that Pearson Vue would accept.
    - The center will accept turn up and schedule and your transport to the exam center might be unreliable and you are worried you might miss the appointment and you are hoping to pay on arrival (some will not accept this).

    Apple never repairs your iPod, they replace it with a refurbished one at no charge if the product fails on its own.  But the warranty only covers manufacturing defects, if your white screen was caused by abuse such as dropping it or getting it wet, the warranty does not apply.   If that is not the case call them at 1-800-APL-CARE (if in the US) and discuss it with them.

  • I brought Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5, is Lightroom mobile included or do I have to pay an additionnal fee?

    The question says it all. I brought Lightroom back in july 2014 and I started using Lightroom mobile on my cellphone without understanding that it was only  30 days trial. Now it is expired and I cannot find any info on wether Mobile is supposed to be included into the desktop version of Lightroom or not. Any help is welcome!

    No there is not, but LR 6 is probably just around the corner and if you sign up for the Photography Plan for $10/month then you’ll get LR5, now, and LR 6 when it is released and whatever releases after that as long as you keep paying.   In other words you won’t have to pay the $80 upgrade for your current serial-number LR 5 to the serial-number LR 6 if you are a member of the CC version.
    Obviously $10/month is $120/year and that is more than $80 once, for LR 6 upgrade from your LR 5, but you’re also getting LR Mobile and Photoshop for the $10/month.

    If you are in the US there are no carriers who will activate an iPhone for voice only. If you have an iPhone you must have both voice and data plans.

  • Why do we have to pay full license fee when upgrading to FMIS 4?

    Just tried to order FMIS 4 but it's not possible to upgrade from FMSS 3.5 to FMIS 4. I know it was previously possible to upgrade from streaming editions to FMIS 3.5 and we paid only the upgrade fee (I think $3500) vs the full license fee ($4500). Now it doesn't appear as if we can upgrade from FMSS 3.5 to FMIS 4 and we have to buy a brand new license. Why is this so? If it's not technically possible to upgrade from FMSS 3.5 to FMIS 4 then why can't we at least get a discount for the money we paid on previous version licenses?
    I have a few FMSS licenses and I'm choosing not going to upgrade to FMIS 4 because of this.
    On a side note, it looks as if it's possible to upgrade FMSS 3.5 to FMIS 3.5 and then FMIS 3.5 to FMIS 4. Of course you pay for two upgrades then.
    Can Adobe shed some light on this?

    No monthly fee to use the Apple TV......some of the apps on it cost on a monthly basis ie..Hulu and Netflix......but you do not have to sign up for them if you do not wish.....

    If you are buying the phone at full price (or Verizon EDGE), there won't be any upgrade fee.  If you are getting a subsidized phone (2-year contract) there will be an upgrade fee.

    Im glad you decided to come to the community to ask a question that I see many of my customers run across from time to time.  It is true that most purchases, especially on new cards, will be declined and go into fraud protect.  Many major credit card companies will do this to make sure that you are indeed trying to make the purcahse, and not some theif who stole your information, or card.  What usually happens is the customer will have to call the card company, the number on the back of the card, and they will be able to lift the fraud alert.  once this "ban" is lifted, the purcahse can go on without any hesitation.  Another, more occuring problem, is the cap on the card.  many cards will have a spending limit for the day, and will automatically not let any charges go through their account until the next day.  you again will have to call the card company to raise, or remove this cap so that your charges are never maxed out, unless you reach your limit.  I know this doesn't make up for all the time you spent working on this purcahse, but just wanted to shine some light on the situation that possibly could have taken place, for your given situation.  If you got the ok from the bank, you might try to purchase the product once again from the store, and with fingers crossed, should go through with the information that you have provided.  I wish you the best of luck, and really appreciate your overall patience with this whole situtaion.  Sit tight for a moderator to swing by and assist you.     Depends on what you plan to do.
    Are you staying with Verizon? Are you purchasing the phone to place on your current line? Are you opening a new line to get the discounted price for the phone and cancelling your old line?
    If you are staying with Verizon, paying full retail for the phone and placing it on your line, then you will not have an ETF.
    If you are opening a new line to get the discounted price for the phone and then cancelling your old line, then yes you will have an ETF for your old line. In this scenario, you will not be able to keep your old number for your phone.
