Do I have to pay an already purchased app? - Muss ich gekauftes App erneut kaufen?

Hi everybody
In 2011 I've purchased the App: Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English for 33 Swiss Francs. This purchase appears also under my "purchased history". Now I want to download this app again, but instead of the download-button a new price tag appears... I don't want to spent a such amount of money again for an already purchased app .
How can I download this app again without any additional costs?
Thank you for your answers!
Hallo zusammen

Thank you for your response.
As far as I can remember I've bought the app directly from an iPhone 4 device.
However the app doesn't show in the Purchased tab on my iPhone 4:
But it appears under my purchased history:
Thanks to Park Ji Ha's response I will not try to download the app with my Mac Book again, because it might be then a different app just for the Mac Book. So I tried to download the app directly from iTunes on my iPhone 4. But unfortunaltely the same price tag appears:
Should I contact the developer?
Thank you for your help!

Open itunes, click Purchased, under Quick Links to redownload apps.

There is no such thing as "sub-accounts".
Multiple Apple ID's can be used on a single device.
Created unique Apple ID's for each user and use those Apple ID's on the appropriate devices from iCloud and iMessage.  This will not affect the media on the device.

You get one and only one download of audiobooks.  As always it is your responsibility to back up your content.

DDoes this happen for all apps or just some of them? Some apps always download the lite or free version. Then when you run the app there is a setting to allow you to restore your previous purchase without paying.

  • TS4036 your ipad's settings have been restored. Your purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded

Upon moving to a new IPad after cracking an older one, the restore was in the works and the following message was displayed on the screen:
Your ipad's settings have been restored. Your purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded
Unfortunately, there is no touch screen ability.  The message won't allow us to click OK and we can't turn off the iPad to reboot it because that would require a slide to confirm.
How do we go about resetting it to the point that the touch screen works again?

    Try a Reset...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • Do I have to pay for the In-App-Purchase of the new GarageBand-version if I already paid for GarageBand before?

    Hi there!
I am using GarageBand for some months now and I´m really happy with that software. Yesterday the new version (2.0) was released and it is now for free. However if you want the whole bundle you have to get the available in-app-purchase. This however means having to pay once again for something I already paid for, correct?
Or is the in-app-purchase for free to those people who already paid for the app?
    Thank you very much!

Just tried - sign in to the account you used to buy the software and click restore purchase. The old Garageband users are automagically given the full version by internal systems of Apple.

  • I bought an app but didn't sync it to my computer before deleting it when it kept crashing. I reloaded it but it didn't give me the new app or other in-app purchases. Do I have to pay for the in-apps that I already bought? It started me at level 1 also.

I made and in-app purchase but didn't sync it to my computer. It kept crashing so I deleted it and re-loaded it. When it re-loaded it was at the starting level and didn't have any of my previous in-app purchases. Do I have to pay for them again?

Previously in-app purchases should download again without any charge.  I know, it's not clear since you'll have to click on the price to download again you should get a message that it will be downloaded at no charge.

  • IWorks not purchased in app store, now I have to pay again for the apps??

Long ago I purchased iWork together with my laptop (macbook pro). Now, I get a message in Pages, Numbers and Keynote that there is a new version available. So I wanted to download it, but the app store makes me pay for them! The full price! Why? The app store does recognise that I have the iWorks apps, but says I didn't purchase them in the app store, so I have to pay for them again! This is really stupid, does anyone know how this is possible? And what I can do to update without having to pay a lot of money to buy all the three apps again?

There are several reasons why the updates don't show as free for those who already have iWork '09 installed.
    1. You must have iWork '09 apps installed & they must be updated to the x.3 version. You can also download the standalone updater from this page.
    2. If you are not using English as the primary language for your Mac, change to English & run Software Update. You can then switch back to your preferred language.
    3. Go to Mac App Store (MAS) > Click on Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads. You will need to individually click into each application > Click update > enter in your Apple ID & password and then it will start updating.
    4. Open App Store on your Mac & look at the buttons under Keynote, Pages & Numbers. If it does not say “Update” click Account under Quick Links, enter your password & click “View Account.”  Next, click the “Reset” button to the right of “Reset all warnings for buying and downloading” at the bottom of this page, & click Done. Check your updates tab & iWork & iLife updates should now appear.
These are the ones I've seen work for others.

  • ITunes no longer recognizes I have already purchased apps!

First, I use Unix. I am VERY unhappy that Apple forces me to either have a Windows or MAC installation to sync iPhone. After getting my iPhone the way I wanted it, I dumped Windows completely, not realizing that I was thus deleting my iTunes app and music library. I wasn't worried because I believed that Apple was somehow remembering my purchases as I was used to seeing the message "you have already purchased that app".
Well, I upgraded to OS 4, but it locked up and would not communicate with the Store (apparently because I was running a virtualized Windows under Linux), and this resulted in me having to reinstall Windows vista and iTunes on a partition of my Unix system. After hours to get that up and running, I was able to complete the OS 4 install on my iPhone 3GS ONLY after reseting it completely, thus lossing ALL my apps and data!
I am not a happy campper. Now iTunes does not seem to know I have previously purchased $100 of dollars of apps and music, and I have NOTHING on my iPhone.
Calling support I was disconnected, and they did not call me back! I was told I had to "chat" for support, but was unable to get the link before being disconnected, and all I want to know is how I can get the apps I have paidd for and get them back on my iPhone without having to get billed for them again!
Any suggestions? I'm so mad I'm about ready to trash my iPhone and NEVER buy Apple again.
    Patrick

    1) Log into the iTunes Store, making sure you are using the account under which you purchased the apps. Confirm by going into your account information and looking at your Purchase History. If your apps aren't shown there, you probably aren't using the correct account.
    2) Go through the process of buying the app. When you click "buy", iTunes should inform you that you've already purchased the app and offer to let you download it again for free.
    3) Repeat for each app.
    4) Make a backup of the apps so that if you erase your hard drive again you have a backup copy.
Note that the iTunes Store has no telephone support. If you need to contact them, use the form on their Support page. Select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find an "Email Us" button.
    Regards.

  • Do I have to pay to reinstall an app on my iPod touch?

The app is called DuoMatic. It was free when I got it but then I deleted it. Big mistake because I wanted the app again but it said it was .99. There is no free version of the app just the .99 version. I am wondering what I have to pay. Would I pay .99 or for free? Thank you.

It should be free if you can redownload it by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • If I downloaded a free app in the past(iphone), lost everything in a restore, and now that free app isn't free anymore, if i try and re-download it, will it be free, or will I have to pay whatever price the app is now?

Lost it all in the restore, have been redownloading the ones I bought just fine.. it's the ones I snagged when they were free I am worried about. Will it prompt me that I have already "purchased" this before.. or will it just go ahead and assume I am buying it if I click "buy". Can I go into itunes and into the purchase history and download all the apps that are there and even though the ones i got when they were free cost money...will they download for free?? Can't find any info on this anywhere, thanks a bunch!!!!

If you Go to the app store on your phone, then go to updates you should have a purchased icon at the top.
Click on that and it will show the apps you have downloaded before as they are stored on the icloud.
Then you should be able to click on the app and redownload it, not sure if it will charge but its worth a try.

  • If I paid for app for iphone do i have to pay again for same app for ipad?

Hi just curious if anyone could tell me if I have purchased an app for an iphone for example My Movies pro do I have to pay again if I want My Movies pro for Ipad?
Does this depend on specfic apps or is everything free once you paid for it on either your ipad or iphone under same apple Id?
    Thanks
    Oil Country

    Hi Oil Country,
If the app is compatible with both iPhone and iPad, then you can download it to any iPhone or iPad that the Apple ID used to purchase it is signed onto.
You can go to the App Store on the iPad, then to your Purchased Items. Click on "Not on this iPad", and you should see the app listed with a little cloud next to it. Tap on the cloud to download it.
    Cheers,

  • Hard drive crashed....do I have to pay to get my apps again?

I had just downloaded imovie 11 about a month before the crash....do I have to pay again?  Also lost ilife 08

    Hi,
Not if you purchased them through the Mac App Store. Just sign in with the same Apple ID you purchased with and they should show up under Purchases. Did you install iLife 08 by DVD?
