If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:

My TC has been working fine. Using WIFI my iMac, ipod touch were able to access the internet. Last night, no internet access and when I plug the router connection in my Mac all is good.

My TC was fine, it supports a Mac and an ipod touch. I have had no issues until last night. Nominternet access, Timecapsule app cannot detect or finf the TC. I have my router cable plugged into my Mac and it's fine. I am using Leopard and have no idea what TC firmware version I am on. The TC does get hot! Any clues?

Firmware downgrade.
Go to the airport menu at the top of the page when you have airport utility open.
The second screen will open over the airport utility.
Now hold down the option key when you select firmware so not just new ones open but also old ones.
You get a warning ..
You proceed.
Now you have your TC with whatever firmware you chose.
That is about as Gumpy as I can do it.

Do I have to pay to reinstall an app on my iPod touch?

The app is called DuoMatic. It was free when I got it but then I deleted it. Big mistake because I wanted the app again but it said it was .99. There is no free version of the app just the .99 version. I am wondering what I have to pay. Would I pay .99 or for free? Thank you.

I am trying to connect an IPOD Touch with my car radio via USB port. Using proper cable which works. When I connect the auto radio automatically tries to hook up with the Ipod but then displays "reading error"

I get no sound from my guitar when using iRig with my iPod 5th gen (iOS 7)

I've just bought my iRig and it doesn't work with my iPod 5. I get no sound out of my guitar.
Headphones are working and when iRig is connected I can hear the samples and every other sound coming out of the iPod, but I get nothing from my guitar.
I tried shutting the iPod down, turning Mono on/off, but it still doesn't work with any of my apps (Amplitube, Garage Band and AmpKit).
Then I tried it with my brother's iPod 4 and it worked perfectly, which makes me think that there's something wrong with my iPod settings (I got the iOS 7)....
Does anyone know something I could try?

Contact the developer/go to their support site . Maybe it is not compatible with the 5G iPod. Also, it may not be compatible with iOS 7. Did it work on the 5G before iOS 7?

How do I change my phone number on my Apple ID account? Not the number for billing. I got a new Ipod touch and when I was setting it up my emails where correct but the phone number was wrong. The gentlemen at the Apple Store told me just to go on my account on my computer and change it but i cant find where. Only part i know how to change is the billing number. Thanks.

If you can remember them their current answers you can login here and change them : https://appleid.apple.com , click on 'Manage your Apple ID' and then 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of your account's page
If you can't remember their answers and you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Using iCloud with my iPod touch

I can't update the operating system on my iPod touch so that I can use iCloud. It appears to keep downloading the new version to iTunes on my desktop computer but never seems to transfer to iPod. Can anyone help with that?

I have iTunes version 10.5.2.11. Everytime I plug my iPod in, a message pops up in iTunes telling me that "A new iPod software version (5.0.1) is available for the iPod.... I select "Download and Update" (I've tried choosing "Download" only also). I wait and wait while it downloads (according to the menu on the left side of the iTunes window. Then nothing. The file disappears from the left side of the iTunes screen and its like I never did anything. It happens EVERY time I plug in the iPod. And I've repeated this numerous times. Help, please.

Can I transfer files using Bluetooth with an iPod Touch?

There is no file transfer via bluetooth, only music streaming to a compatible bluetooth headset.

Thank you, Jeff. I just did what you suggested, but the issue was not resolved. In PhotoMechanic, I select a quantity of images and mark them RED. When I import them into LR, the RED usually follows the image, so that I know which ones to edit. Now, perhaps since updating to OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), the color tag is not visible in LR.
I spent about 8 hrs on the phone with the tech folks at PhotoMechanic. They think it might have something to do with LR preferences.
Any thoughts?

Can I use icloud with my ipod touch ?

It's a 2nd gen, 8GB, version 4.2.1. I'm not even able to follow steps for setting up icloud because when I go to settings and software updates, there is not even a software update category.

Thanx Winston. I understand what the "cloud" is and is not but I just received an ad about "iCloud Everywhere" via iTunes while shopping and I see it on Apple's website too. Through " iCloud Everywhere" you can upload music and thus "make it available on all your devices", according to Apple. Media can then be either streamed to all your devices through the cloud or you can download. They mention for example that you can download a movie if you know you'll be in a place where wifi is not available. They also point out that you can save songs that you didn't buy via iTunes Store and later stream through all your devices. Ergo my question. If I have an iTunes account and buy the iCloud Everywhere subscription I should be able to upload to my Everywhere files regardless of computer registration. Correct? There are programs outside Apple that claim to be able to merge differently registered Apple devices and they want the same amount of money as iCloud Everywhere. I would rather stay with Apple if that's possible. After all it's not fair to lose your media just because your computer crashes or is replaced. I know I raise several issues here so if you can help on the iCloud Everywhere question I'd appreciate any help.

Is the name of your wireless network a single word or phrase comprised of letters and/or numbers with no spaces?

When using wifi with iphone 4 does it use up your data allowance? Also when using wifi with iphone 4 does your phone automatically detect the wifi present and uses the wifi or o you have to physically turn on the wifi inorder not to use up data allowance?

Wifi does NOT use plan minutes or amounts - it is wholly independent of your data plan.
Wifi cannot connect if turned off, so yes, it must be on to connect. And, you may have to log on to a network if you have never done so before (it can remember networks once connected the first time, and then will automatically reconnect when next in range).
