Do I have to pay to upgrade from iPhoto '09 to the latest version?
I just bought my first iPhone (the 6), and I want to automatically transfer photos from my (and my wife's) iPhone 6, to iPhoto. I am using iPhoto '09 and I believe I have to upgrade it to the latest version to make that happen. I went to the App store to upgrade, but it wants to charge me $14.99. I thought we didn't have to pay for upgrades any longer if we owned a legit previous version (came pre-installed when I bought my Mac in 2009. Can anyone shed any light on this? Or, recommend another app? Thanks.

If you own any version of iPhoto '11 it is a free update - if you own older versions like iPhoto '09 it is a paid upgrade

I purchased the 1141n AP. Last year when in May, I called Cisco support for help. He told me it, the 1141n would not works alone, it needs the controller. However, He also stated that the new version of IOS will be working as the access point alone.
So I have it, donwload the latest software c1140-k9w7-tar.124-21a.JY.tar from Cisco.com.
Is this the correct version for 1141N and can it work as stand alone now, or acting as the extended WDS extended from the other AP like Apple Extreme.?

ThanksDid you buy a 1141LAP or 1141AP? If you bought an LAP, you are going to have to transfer that IOS image you downloaded to your 1141 using xmodem, TFTP, or borrow your buddy's controller, associate your lwap to it, and revert it to IOS. I don't recall how to do it using xmodem (it's a pain and takes forever anyway), but here's the documentation of how to do it using a TFTP server:

If you bought a 1141AP, you're in luck! Just plug that bad boy into your router, grab the ip, navigate to the http server of it using that ip, and configure away using the web gui! From there, you can even upgrade to the latest version of IOS very easily!

Your licence is not platform specific, so Lightroom can be used on any two machines (Mac and/or WIndows), with one actually being used at any given time.

Well, as both hardware and software seem to be on an accelerating schedule of renewals, you might never buy a mac on that philosophy!
Apple normally offer a period of grace if an new OS comes out a month or so after a new purchase (i.e., you can get a free upgrade), but longer than that an you have to pay.
Of course, there's no compulsion to upgrade to the new OS just because it exists. Plenty of people are still running Leopard 10.5.8. -

I have Firefox 16.0.2 installed. I have manually upgraded my Citrix plugin to the latest version (12.3.0.8), but when i run the "Check to see if your plugins are up to date" link it still has Status "Outdated Version", Action "Upgrade" in orange with a link that goes nowhere. Is this a problem with Firefox or Citrix plugin?

I have Photoshop Elements 12 for both PC and Mac (I use both). I have a new camera, Nikon D810. I downloaded the latest version of Camera Raw, 8.8. My D810 is listed as a supported camera model. However, when I try to open a raw photo in Photoshop Elements, I keep getting the message "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. I have tried reinstalling Camera Raw many times, and have tried to open many different raw files in Elements, and still get the same error message. Please help.
How did you try to install ACR 8.8. The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.

In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6. (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13. Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter. Download and install it from here for FREE: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890 Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use. DNG converter can be used as the tool to move your files from your memory card to your computer, is efficient, will convert in batches and is completely lossless. There is no risk of any image quality degradation or RAW functionality. -

did you put your Air to sleep with headphones attached, or closed the monitor with phones attached?
Do not sleep your Air (close the monitor with headphones attached) with headphones attached, this is known to affect some Air under Mavericks.

Much testing on my own and others as well show that, in some instances, this occurs in Mavericks.
If you choose you may contact Apple for an appt and diagnostics.
However as said, refrain from having phones attached when you close the monitor to prevent this until it is resolved

I'm here at a customer of mine and i have the following problem.
The client has Sun SGD 4.5 Build 20090428230511
The client want's to upgrade to the latest version (5.1) due to compatibility problems with modern browsers.
SGD is running on a Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP4 and is 64 Bit.
I was planning in upgrading from 4.5 -> 4.6 -> 4.7 -> 5.0 -> 5.1
When I want to install to version 4.6 I have to use the Yum command when i start the following command :
yum tta-4.62-913.i386.rpm
It gives an error that it cannot find Yum. I have tried to install yum with Yast2 but it can't find it.
Is there an other solution to upgrade SGD to the latest version?

Move Photo Files back in the iPhoto Library
Before a few months ago, I had not checked the "copy files into the library" (or something similar, my iPhoto is French-speaking...). As a result, whereas my newer photo files are in the iPhoto library special folder, the older ones are not (there ar
