Do i have to purchase OS X Lion software on every device?
I recently upgraded my imac desktop to the OS X Lion software and now I would like to upgrade my MacBook Pro as well. Do I have to purchase the software again?
No. As long as this isn't for a business, you can install Lion on all systems you own or control. Assuming you have Mac OS X 10.6 on the MBP, just log into the App Store via the same account you use to purchase Lion on the iMac and you'll be allowed to download and install it again.
Regards.

I have a macbook 10.6.8 snow leopard, do i have to purchase os x lion for icloud to work on my devices?
“Apple may be working on a Mac OS X10.6.9 update to extend iCloud to Snow Leopard, an error message reveals,” MacNN reports.
“After upgrading a MobileMe account to iCloud, one developer says he encountered a unique error message in Tiger’s .Mac preferences pane,” MacNN reports. “‘You will no longer be able to sync with this machine because you’ve upgraded to iCloud,’ it begins. ‘iCloud requires running Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6.9 or later for Contacts, Calendars, and Bookmarks.’” -
I have just purchased OS X lion via App store. this shows as a purchase but it does not download after hitting download button in recent purchases in App store
Hello Gregory,
If you have properly upgraded Snow Leopard to 10.6.8, say with the combo updater v1.1, Lion should run comfortably with 4GB of RAM on your model.
You may be able to inject a further 2GB of Ram and to check that, go to Crucial.com and feed in your Machine specs. The site has a tool which will confirm the maximum amount of RAM you can fit.
It's not too difficult to fit by yourself and Crucial give instructions how to do it. -

Install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
It's ok to do this even if you are already running v10.6.8.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Try downloading Lion. -
I have to purchase the Mountain Lion Again!!!!!!
After I was using the Mountain Lion for around 2 days, one time after I boot up my mac, it would not start-up. I am stuck at the grey logo....... I did everything that I can find in the discussions to repair the problem until to the point that I have to re-format my macbook pro...
Now after I reinstalled my DVD of the Snow Leopard and upgraded it to 10.6.8 I was happy and excited to open the APP Store once again to re-DOWNLOAD the app that I have already purchased, to my dismay I have to pay and purchase the application again for me to be able to install it back??
I need help how can I get it back again without repurchasing...
Thanks.I did everything that I can find in the discussions to repair the problem until to the point that I have to re-format my macbook pro.
You should have done that, if it was necessary, by booting into Recovery, not by reinstalling 10.6. -

How can i purchase the OS X lion software
Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, verify that the computer meets the requirements for Lion, which are a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU and at least 2GB of RAM, and then phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for it.

for some reason osx mountain lion has disappeared from my purchases and now when i want to install mountain lion on another mac with the same apple id it wants to charge me for the program even though i have already purchased it. what do i do?
Open the Mac App Store on the other Mac and in the Quick Links sign into your account. See if the Mountain Lion purchase is among hidden apps in the iCloud area of your account info.
