Do I have to use iTunes Match or is there a way to sync to my iPhone to put my music on phone?

I just upgraded to an iPhone 4s from an Android. I have a Mac computer (MacBook Pro) and love Apple for over 10 years now. I am used to connecting iPod or iPhone to computer and syncing with iTunes and transferring songs. There are some that won't have a "match" because they are local bands and aren't sold in iTunes. So how do I get my songs from iTunes to my phone without iTunes Match?

Wicked annoying but I actually uninstalled iTunes on my Mac using an AppZapper. You can also get AppCleaner which is free. After I just went to apple.com/itunes and redownloaded iTunes. My music and playlists were still there, then I turned on iTunes Match and turned it on my iPhone once the upload finished. Try it!
NOTHING else worked! This was the only way I could jumpstart iTunes Match to actually give me my playlists. PLEASE backup your Library first. Nothing bad should happen, but don't take any chances. Good luck!

A NAS will not work, any computer will, but a mini would be a good choice due to its low power consumption.
Another alternative would be to use iTunes Match.

Go to Settings > General > Usage, select Music, then Edit. There will be a delete option there. It may take a few minutes to delete if you have a large collection on your iPhone.

I have a g4 1.5 gig 5,5 laptop and a tower g4 agp sawtooth accelerated computer. We have att with its wireless modem/router. I got things messed up with adding, deleting, altering documents, bookmars, address books etc. I'm wonder IF there's ANY program out there that would allow to sync (not clone) these two computers? I just signed up with mobileme, so I can sync bookmarks (on safari only) and address book BUT NOT files and folders. Is there a way to sync using the wireless modem OR firewire connection and reboot? A tech person mentioned one possibility ----intech 303-554-5555 data backup. But they haven't returned phone calls. Any info would be appreciated.
PS I want to stick with Tiger because it apparently runs better on these older machines than does Leopard (thus timemachine is not available to me).

So i just got an 3T external hard drive and i have moved my itunes over to it successfully and have started using Time Capsule but is there a way to make things i download go directly to my external hard drive and not to my internal one?

Internet Explorer does not exist for the iPad. Obviously Safari will not work. There are other browsers available that can identify as Internet Explorer and one of those might work for you. However, there is really no way to know unless you try one of those browsers.
iCab Mobile and Atomic will identify as IE, so you could try one of those.

My computer had a virus recently and everything had to be "cleaned". I've noticed that a big chunk of my iTunes library is missing. I did make sure everything was on my iPod before the IT guy took over, so the question is: Can I upload the music in my iPod into iTunes? If yes, how?

After I download a 256 kbps song using ITunes Match, how do I get it to play on my computer at the higher bit rate once I turn ITunes Match off again?

After I download a 256 kbps song from the cloud using ITunes Match, how do I get it to play on my computer once I turn ITunes Match off again? I have been using ITunes Match for awhile now to increase the bit rate on songs to 256 kbps. Once I download the songs at the new bit rate, I turn off Match because I want to eliminate duplicates. Usually there is no problem. This time, however, 278 of my songs lost their file association and were unplayable unless I locate the song files within my computer. These are songs purchased from Amazon. In order to play them again in ITunes (Match is now off), I must locate each song file individually (I've tried to do it in bulk but have not succeeded) but now the bit rate has returned to the lower number BEFORE I matched the song. I should have never used Match in the first place. Any ideas, anyone?

I discovered that the NEW 256 bit file does reside on my computer, in the ITunes files (My Music/ITunes/ITunes Media/Music. So I can bring the songs back as 256 kbps, and I have been successful now at locating more than one file at a time, by clicking on the "find other missing files" tab in the popup window. Previously, I'd been going back to my Amazon files, and not only was I unable to bring back a 256 version, but the popup window would not locate similar files. So while I wish ITunes Match would automatically associate the ITunes Match file, at least I can retrive the file association without hours and hours of work.

Problems accessing music from original PC iTunes library after uploading to iCloud using iTunes Match

I uploaded my entire iTunes library to iCloud using iTnes match and then deleted library from that PC. I can aceess my tunes from iCloud on my iPad and work PC but when i try to listen to iTunes music from th PC that held the original library it looks for the file on the hard drive even though the cloud icon is beside the track in iTunes. Some of the tracks have a ! And no cloud but I can't play any of it. What's going on?

I have the same issue. My hardrive crashed on my PC and I lost my entire itunes library. I have all my music uploaded in the iCloud using iTunes Match and would like a way to download it all to my PC. Is there no way to do this?
