No, Standard Calls and text messages (SMS) only require the normal Phone service.
You can turn off 3G/4G/LTE and Wifi and still be able to get and make calls and send and receive sms.

Send SMS while creating Customer Master Record using XD01?

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement that " Send SMS from XD01 (customer Master)". Send SMS to customer's mobile after successfully creating customer master record by pressing SAVE button in XD01 tcode.
Successfully, sending SMS through the ABAP program.
How to send SMS from XD01 tcode? I tried using USER-EXIT "SAPMF02D", but it is not sending and giving error message. If I send through the program, it is sending and working fine.
Whether I have to use Work Flows or any other solutions?
Please help me out.

Will it ever be possible to send SMS messages at a future time using Siri?

As Siri can set reminders and make appointments for the diary, as well as being able to write messages and emails, will Siri ever be able to do both and write messages at a future time?
For example, "At 5:00pm, tell Kay to put the bin out".
Would this be possible and would there ever be a need for something like this?
Also when will Siri be able to find resturants and businesses in the UK as at the moment only US ones can be found.

My phone is stuck in the 'Restore Needed' mode. Can use some help?

Its been doing this a couple days now. But this time im totally dumbfounded. Its stuck with that little message and a usb plug graphic in the background. Im stuck.

There is no way out.
Restart the restore procedure and make sure you are connected to the wall power adapter and have Internet connection.
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
At the end it will ask whether you want to restore, choose iCloud backup.

Need some help scripting a specific menu animation, please

I have this Actioscript 2 file here (see attached).
I have the animation performing ok in the file, but I am having trouble getting the movie clip to play on mouseover. I could really use some advice on this... I've been through a number of tutorials, but cannot get this file to play nice.
On mouseover, the menu should animate down (play the clip). This brings up another question, however... How do I get the menu to receed (animate up) when the cursor leaves the button region?

They will need to be workable links eventually - right now, the text is not even correct.
The buttons are created, but they are not set up to link yet - I had wanted to see if I could get the mouseover on and off working first.

I seriously doubt it. So, all you can do is send email messages to their email address assigned to their mobile phone, provided the carrier offers that. Most ofen the form is <phonenumber>@<mobile.carrier.isp>

Let us start by explaining the only thing that a Skype Number will do for you: a Skype Number will provide a real land-line (or, fixed-line) telephone number for people to call you on if they do not use or have Skype. You receive the call on Skype. Believe it or not, that's all there is to it!
So, your Skype Number neither sends nor receives SMS messages.
In other words, you can send SMS messages directly from your Skype account and do not need a Skype Number to send SMS messages; please note Skype does not currently support receiving SMS messages.

SMS API(WMA) is an optional package. It is not a MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0 api's.
There are phones which has WMA api with MIDP1.0 support .... Nokia 3650
Seimens has some phone with their own api's to send sms.Check out seimens site for more info

If you want to send message to server you can do it with Http.

I need some help printing to plates please please

Hi all I am brand new to illustrator CS4 as of today I am starting to print church stuff and need to print to polyester plates I have a logo I cannot seem to be able to figure out how to print each plate for CMYK. Please help me as I want to start printing ASAP. I have searched and searched but cannot seem to find info that is straight forward something seems to change from real world to what I read. Anyone? I would really appreciate some help please

Printing to polyester plates requires an expensive piece of hardware. It is not a simple "print-out-of-Illustrator" solution. There may be some opportunities for printing direct to the RIP which then generates the plates. There are also direct-to-plate digital presses. You need to do some research on what is available and how much it will cost. Contact your local offset print shop and ask them if they can help you narrow down the search for a solution.
This assumes you have no platesetter or digitla press on the premises. If you do, then you need to learn the operating manual for the equipment you have in place. Not sure what your situation is and what you have to work with other than Illustrator.

New to flex, need some help

Hello, I am a new user of Flex 4 and have recently gone thru the training courses available here (Flex in a week). I have been tasked with moving some of our firm's webpages that use jsp and spring to connect to a mysql database to a flex frontend.
I've been looking over the BlazeDS tutorial (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/spring_blazeds_testdrive.html) and it seems rather helpful, but I could use some help in how to make a connection to a mysql database on an external server-- where does the connection info go, user name, password, etc.
In a nutshell, the application I am to design would need to be able to go out to a database to first verify user credentials, then to upload csv files and store the data into a database, and finally allow users to retrieve the data in datagirds and display in basic bar charts. Thanks to the training, I have a good understanding on using the datagrid, but the connecting to an external database is where I'm having trouble.
Also, I have seen a flex webpage where data is displayed in a chart and the user can export the chart as a jpg or export the input data to a csv file. Is anyone familiar with this capability?

You need to create an Client/Server-application with 3-tiers client, application server (Java/Hibernate/Spring) and database server (MySQL for example).
Just buy a book over Flex and Java and read it.
