Do I need a 16gb or 32gb iPhone?

Trying to decide... I plan on finally buying my first iPhone.
I currently have in my iTunes:
311 songs
40 Apps
15 Tones
So which one would be best for me to hold all my stuff without taking up all the space entirely....
P.S. I will have pics, but I don't keep them on there for long. I usually delete them or only keep a small few.
I use to have an 8gb iPod, so some of the stuff I had on it.
(Either iPhone 4s or 3GS)

Well, cost is one thing but you would also like to be able to update IOS and since storage cannot be upgraded later.
I just checked, I don't think they're selling the 32 GB version any more just the 16GB black or white.

  • How much memory do I need? 16gb or 32gb?

If I will be using my iPad primarily for iBooks (a couple hundred ibooks) and iWork documents (maybe 100 different documents), how much memory will I need?
Right now, I have about 7gb worth of music, photos, and apps on my iPhone.
Also, if I subscribe to video podcasts, will that take a lot of memory as well?
    Can I get by with a 16gb?

KC eh? I live near the area :P anyway, I would recommend 16GB. I'm debating as well but I'm going to get the 32GB version as I plan to watch movies/TV shows on mine. They do take up some space. I've been getting by on my iPhone 3G which has 8GB but now I wish I had more... I think this would be the case for me and the iPad as well so I'm getting 32GB.
As for you if you're not planning on watching movies or tv shows (not using Netflix) then I suggest 16GB.
The iPhone OS uses a little less than 2GB so you'll havel ike 14GB to play with.
but if you can spare the extra $100 I'd get 32GB.

  • 16gb or 32gb iPhone 4S--HELP

Ok so my upgrade for my Verizon plan is coming up Wednesday, and I don't know what gigabyte I should get, Either the 16gb or the 32gb. I have the money for the 16gb iP4S, but I don't know if it will be enough memory. At this moment I still am downloading songs I listen to, to transfer over to my new phone. If I decide to get the 32gb I have to wait an extra 2 additional weeks for the $100. I don't want to wait any longer considering I waited 2 years and my android is just a POS! Can someone help me decide what I should do. I love to play games, listen to music and stuff.
Oh I forgot to mention, I take photos of me and my friends whenever I am out, and I take video's for proof on Gamebattles for Xbox/PS3 but the videos are only like 5-20 seconds long. I am just stuck and trying to figure out what I should get.
    Thanks,
    Christian.

OK, my advice: wait until you're sure you know what you want.
That's the only useful advice I can give you, other than to advise that you keep in mind that no one here owes you one moment of their time, so it pays to be polite and grateful to those to take their time to respond rather than challenging every response you get.

  • How much would it cost me to trade in my 16gb iPhone 4s to get a 32gb iphone 4s?

How much would it cost me to trade in my 16gb iPhone 4s to get a 32gb iphone 4s?

You will need to take to an Apple retailer to find out how much they will give for the trade-in.

  • Need to upgrade to my iPhone to 32GB

Hi I have a TMobile iPhone 5 16GB but I have too much music and not enough space for my apps, pictures, games, etc. I currently am not eligible for an upgrade, but I need more space (a 32Gb would be enough). So what can I do?
If for "some reason" my phone sometimes work and sometimes doesn't can I get a replacement and I could pay the extra $100 or whatever it is and get a 32GB replacemnet?

You can purchase a new iphone at full price.  You can chooose to keep less content on your iphone.

No.  If Apple determined your iphone to be defective and it is still within the warranty period, you would get the exact same modle in return.

  • Is it possible change my iphone 4 order from 16gb to 32gb

Is it possible change my iphone 4 order. from 16gb to 32gb and have the same ship date.

I'm sure you can, you would just have to call them up and tell them that you want the 32GB instead. If you ordered it and wanted to change on the same day, i'm sure you would have the same ship date but if you changed it the day after, it might as well change. who knows. Give them a call and see what they say.

  • Buying First iPhone Tomorrow Curious if I should get 16gb or 32gb

Getting my first iPhone tomorrow and curious which would be the best choice.I've had a 30gb 5th Generation iPod for some time which is full... so should I go for the 32gb iPhone..?

I should have posted this question some time ago. I just got my 32G 3Gs this morning and I'm very happy with it.
I originally had reserved the 16 but when I actually got in line at the Apple store this morning I had second thoughts and forked over the extra $100 for the privilege to own the 32.
This is the way I see it. Ultimately, I opted for the 32G because I didn't want to regret. The reason I was originally thinking 16 was because unless like your situation where people actually have a gazillion tunes, an extra 16 might be an overkill. So, looks like in your case, logic dictates that you should opt for the 32 because you've stated that you've filled up 30G on the ipod and that's just in music.
Remember, the iphone 3Gs has video capability as well so you'll need space for that. I think the 32 was meant for people like yourself. You've actually managed to fill 30Gs. Unless you can tidy up and be efficient, meaning you offload pics/videos/movies etc. on a regular basis, you'll probably need the larger space. It's a crap shoot. But for you, unless you're going to trim your music collection, how are you going to get anything else on a 16? Bear in mind, also, if you want to have movies ripped on it, it's probably best to get the bigger drive. Hope this helps. $100 is a lot of money, but regretting if worse. Which way do you want to err?

  • How much free space do I need to have on my 32GB iPhone 3GS?

How much free space do I need to have on my 32GB iPhone 3GS for optimum performance? I have only 4 GB left and I am worried that performance will soon be degraded.

Apple allocates space on the flash memory for cacheing proposes. You shouldnt worry. You can fill it up with out preformance problems.

If you are still in the return window, then it can be returned and there will likely be a restocking fee.  You will pay the difference between the 16 and 32GB prices.
If you are outside the return window (typically 14 days), the only option is to sell the current device and buy the larger capacity device you want.

  • Iphone 3gs 16gb or 32gb??

My question is there other differences between to two phones except for storage capcity? Does the 32gb run smoother or faster?
I will be getting one next month when my current contact is up. I know if I plan to keep a lot of video, pics, and music I should get the 32gb but if I do not is there a need to have the 32gb over the 16gb?
    Thanks for the help

    Same device, different capacity.
I would always get more memory, as I have never had a device that I didn't eventually fill up.

  • IS an iphone 16gb or 32gb better

Is an iphone 16gb or 32gb better?

Other than twice the storage capacity, the phones are identical. Whether one is better than the other, only you can decide.

  • I want to buy Iphone 5.... 16gb or 32gb

How many mb/gb of storage per min does1080p video use? That will help me decide wheather to get 16gb or 32gb.

A 720 movie takes at least 1gb, if u want to store both videos and music then eventually it will fill up. And dont forget that u wont actually get 16gb of available storage, iOS takes about 2gb of the storage, so u end up with 14gb of available storage.

  • How much storage, 16GB or 32GB?

I'm getting an iPhone 5 soon, and I wanted to know which one I should get: 16GB or 32GB. I have about 150 songs, 300 photos, about 1/2 hour worth of video, and 51 apps that I would put on it.

Since the iPhone's storage capacity can't be expanded after the purchase, as with a computer it is better to have more storage capacity and not need it, than to need it and not have it - not unless you don't mind constantly deleting content so additional content can be added.
