Do I need a convertor/transformer?

I am moving from the UK to the USA in a few weeks and note that the voltages in the two countries are different. I bought my MacBook in the UK but I have an apple two pin plug to connect my MacBook to a wall socket in the US. Do I also need some sort of transformer to get round this difference in voltage?

Nope that is all you need. The magsafe is rated 100-240 VAC. It will work anywhere and all you need is the plug adapter for whatever country you are visiting.

The UK is 230/240 v
as long as the 10w power supply is 110/240 v 50-60 Hz you will be fine ( mine certainly is 110/240 v)
you will as you say need a plug converter as the UK mains plugs are substantial 3 pin much larger than US plugs

I need to do transformation based on DB check ... If ITEM_ID exists in DB it should not do transformation for that particular ITEM_ID, The ITEM_ID's which are not present in the DB then it should do transformation ..

If you are implementing this in OSB:
Then in your XQuery you can use fn-bea:execute-sql() function to query the DB for existence of current ITEM ID within a if-else block and write transform logic in XQ accordingly.
If you are implementing this in SOA Suite:
Then in your XSLT you can use oraext:lookup-table() function within your XSLT to check the existence of current ITEM ID within a If node and write transform logic in XSLT accordingly.

Help need in osb transformation

HI guys,
I have a requirement wheree i want to transform the data from source tot target using xquery transformation.
The requirement is i get the source value from consumer for one of the element in source node is asset_id (0001-12345678-000), so i need to break this value and map to three elements in target .
Can you please me out how do i do it using xquery.
iam trying it do using if-then-else but not working.
So please help in transforming this.

I think what Eric means is that BUKRS, ANLN1, ANLAN2 are not sequences, these are elements, from the way you explained your issue eric provided the solution to split the string based on the '-'. it sounded like you wanted to post into something like

sorry I don't have access to eclipse workbook to help but you can get your expressions using commands such as lenght, and substring, etc.
the best way to do this is in eclipse create a new xquery. Added the schemas you want to map to. In the first instance ID to ANLN1, ANLN2, and BUKRS so it will look like this.

<ANLN2>0001-12345678-000</ANLN2>
<BUKRS>0001-12345678-000</BUKRS>

This will provide the structure of the xquery code, now what you need to do is modify it so it only maps what you need.

Help needed in XLST Transformation

Hi All,
I am facing issues in converting my DB records into the xml format required for my web service input using XSLT transformations. Please help in this regard.
Here is how my DB data looks like.

and now with this data i should call a web service and its input is something like this.

Basically for each group i should call the web service and send the data. I am using a DB adapter which gives me the select * from my table and I need to convert it to the hierarchy as shown above and call the 3rd party web service for each group.
Please help me in this regard. Is it something we can achieve with the DB adapter select operation/ can we get the required grouping using XSLT transformations in SOA. Need the help urgently.

Need help in transformation

Hi All,
    I need a help in transformation. There are 5 Key figures : KF1, KF2,KF3, KF4 , KF5 in my target.
Requirement is KF3 should be KF1 * KF2
and if KF4 >0 , KF5 = KF4.
else
        KF5 = KF3.
I am not able to see these key figures when im trying in formula or routine.
How can I do these in transformations ???

I have used end routine for this requirement as the field level transformation will become complex as the (already present KFs in target are derived from the routines)..
So I have used end routine,

Need help on transforming a bufferedimage back to an image

Hi,
for a project in school, I need to read in a .jpeg file, transform it to a bufferedimage, getting the pixels. Then I make a new bufferedimage and all the RGB values that are higher then a certain (changeable) contrast value are made white, the other black (so basicly i transform an image to black and white) (with getRGB from colorimage and setRGB to the new bufferedimage)
But I have trouble to transform the black and white bufferedimage to an image for viewing the image...
The code for that part is like this:

You could use Association Rules for coming up with the probability of sales given the sale of a specific item.
ODM will handle transactional input of sales information for this purpose.
As for data preparation, you should take a look at Data Miner Workflow's Aggregation Node. This node allows you generate "nested tables' of the type DM_NESTED_NUMERICAL and DM_NESTED_CATEGORICAL. Using this approach, you can create structures to capture the 1 to many (as in your case of sales managers to clients). However you can not use it to capture 1 to many to many ( as in your sales managers to clients to products). See simple script below showing how nested data is creates using the SH.SALES sample data.
For demos on how to do either AR or Aggregration, you can download SQL Dev 3.0 and use it against a DB of 11.2.0.1 or higher. There are OBE (Oracle By Example, available on OTN) tutorials and Cue Card Tutorials (shipped in SQL Dev).

I'm going to Italy. Do I need a voltage transformer or does the iPhone 4 convert automatically?

Does the iPhone automatically convert from USA voltage to continental Europe voltage?

I just returned from Italy (Florence, Venice, Rome) and the iphone voltage DOES convert automatically 110-240V. As Julian stated, all I had to do to charge my iphone was attach the round prong adapter to it. Ciao! Enjoy your trip.

I was able to transfer xml data from abap internal tables to a string.
Here is the content of the string:

Now my goal is to strip out a couple of tags out of that string directly using xslt.
Do you know of any way i could take out the <asx:abap> and <asx:values> tags using an xslt program. I'd like to be able to strip them out directly from the string itself.

Unfortunately this is a bit outside the scope of what ExportPDF is designed for. You may be able to convert your document to a Word file and, as long as you didn't write over any of the printed text on the document, make your edits there to remove your writing That said, it sounds like your best bet would be to scan the document to an image format, then use a photo-editing application, such as Photoshop Elements to touch up and remove your hand-written notes.

I had previously read that you only need a plug convertor (three prong to two prong). But I'm terrified that my iMac will blow up if I only use a plug convertor and not some sort of voltage convertor (Transformer).

I'm not really hardware tech savy - is it easy to pop out the UK power cable and plug in the US power cable? Or do I need to get someone like an iMac support guy to do this? And because of the voltage difference, is there something built into the iMac that takes care of the voltage difference for me? Thanks!!
