Do I need a transformer to use my macbook in europe?

I have a Macbook bought new in spring of 2008, with a 60 W magsafe power adapter. It was bought in the USA and I've always used 110 AC to power it.
I'm traveling to France, where power is 220 volts. It sounds like the magsafe power adapter automatically switches between 110 and 220. Is this true? In this case, all I would need is the correct plug adapter, but would not need a transformer?

Hi William: Indeed it is true, the power adapter is capable of working with voltages from 100 - 240. You will need a plug adapter only.

Hi. The power brick on my MacBook indicates 100 to 240 volts and 50 or 60 hz so it should be universal. Only thing you'll need then is an adaptor that converts the plug ends to whatever socket you need to plug into. You can buy adaptors anywhere for cheap and I've seen kits that come with several standard European adaptors in a little zippered travel case. Have a look at your power brick and see if it indicates the same voltage ranges. Cheers!

Most chargers in general have power specification embossed in raised lettering on the charger itself and will say something like ~110-240 VAC to indicate a voltage range to which they can adjust.

The camera connection kit can only be used to import photo/video files from a camera, SD card or USB flash drive. You can't import other types of files. You can't export any type of files using the camera connection kit.

I am new to OSB and i have a problem where i need to route service call to 7 different services based on one of the value of parameter of input request. After routing i need to transform the input parameter into stirct datatype output and of different structure. Need suggestion how to do it. I have read some tutorial about proxy services. i have WSDL of both input and output.

You can call 7 different services. AlSB supports one route node, but provides you with the facility of Service Callout.
You can try Service Callout. To use Service Callout select Add An Action >> Communication >> Service callout.
You can also try Routing Options if you don't have any Proxy Service or Business Service to call.

The hotels I stayed in during my visit to the Holy Land had a plug for electric razors which has the same plug used in the US. With that I didn't even need the adapter.

OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
Switching it on had no effect
resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
On IOS 7 no problems
The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

Can you afford a new Thunderbolt case and cable? any case with FW800 is going to be slow 72MB/sec and less, and any new 1TB drive is capable of 75MB/s minimum up to 125MB/sec.
Thunderbolt storage can of course when setup properly reach 100's of MB higher using multiple drives.
Use what you have for a system backup or for secondary backup storage.
you might be able to take the drive - most cases allow you to open and swap drives - and use this:

You need a Firewire cable to run between the two Macs. Using Utility>Migration Assistant running on your new MacBook Pro, transfer what you want (with all the preferences and such) from your MacBook to your MBP. Here's more info from Apple.
You might have an issue with the Serial number for Office, but hopefully you have that around.
