Do I need a voltage converter?
I'm going to Ireland from the US. Do I need to buy a voltage converter for my MacBook Pro or my iPhone 5s?
No, you will simply need a plug adapter for the local power system.

Do I need a voltage converter to power Macbook pro in UK?
Do I need a voltage converter to power a Macbook Pro in the UK?
You will need a socket adapter but no you don't need a voltage converter to take it anywhere in the world. I've lived on three continents with my MacBook, which I bought in Canada and now live in the UK.

Heading to Sri Lanka - do I need a voltage converter or just the plug adapter for my Ipad?
To recharge my IPAD do I need a voltage converter or just an outlet plug adapter? The print on the plug that came with the IPAD is so small I can't read it!
Just the plug adapter, as the power brick itself can go from 100-240 VAC, 50-60Hz. I'd take a spare charger and cable, just in case.

I have the Apple world travel adapter Kit. Do I need a voltage converter to step down 220 V to 110 V?
As Meg said, no, you don't need a converter. Take a close look at the charger... it says 110-240VAC Input, or something similar.

No. Pin adapter is all you need. Should cost about 50 cents.

I have an iPhone4. Do I need a voltage converter for charging when traveling to countries using 220/240V?
No. All Apple power supplies are "universal". They will work anywhere in the world. You just need a plug adapter.

I have an ipod touch. I live in the us and am travelling to South Africa. Do I need a voltage converter?
Many wall charger are universal voltage (110 to 220 VAC) and frequency (50 or 69 Hz). However, you may need a plug adopter to mate with the receptacles in the country.
The charger will have written on it the voltage and frequency. -
Does the iPad mini have a setting so it can be used with either 120 or 240 electrical current? If yes, how do you go about setting the desired input voltage? I will travel to Northern Europe and want to know if I will need a voltage converter.
The iPad charger is dual voltage. You need only a plug adapter to be able to plug your US charger into a European wall outlet. A basic one costs about $2.00. - $6.00. Like this...

Both France and UK use 240 v and I have a US iPad and iPhone4. Can I just just the plug converter or do I need to use a voltage converter for both?
Thanks! No voltage conversion needed, just an adaptor for the plug, anywhere you go.

can I use my I-phone with 220 volt (China) with only a prong adapter, or do I need a votlage converter as well. Unit purchased and used in USA.
The iPhone charger is a world charger, no voltage converter needed. All you might need is a plug adapter, but that's it. Your charger will work fine & no worries about frying your phone as suggested by the orther poster who has no idea what he/she is talking about.

Do I need a voltage converter to recharge iPad battery in Ireland?
I will be travelling in Ireland and am wondering if I will require a voltage converter to reduce 220 volts to 120 volts before recharging an iPad battery.
Everyone agrees. When I was there I used such an adapter.
It looks like this:
The warning in one post, above, about not buying cheap is probably good. Plus there are 'travel adapter kits' in case you go to other countries in mainland Europe. And maybe now some have USB ports, etc. -- Enjoy your trip. -
Charging in Europe w/ Belkin power adaptor. Do I need a voltage converter
Hi. I am taking my nano 3 to Italy and England and hope to charge it with the Belkin rotating power adaptor that allows me to charge by plugging into the house power here in the States. I know that I need to get adaptors for the outlets, but do I also need to get a converter? The Belkin Power Adapter does have 100-240V Input and 50-60HZ AC. I'm getting conflicting info.
Thanks,
Timbut do I also need to get a converter?
No.
