Do I need an agreement with Apple to sell a textbook created by iBooks Author on iBookstore?

Hello,
I created my .ibooks fortmatted book by iBooks Author. And I would like to sell it on iBookstore.
In the past I have published several ePub books on iBookstore. So I have my iTunes connnect account for it.
And my question are
- Should I have a new contract with Apple for .ibooks format?
- Should I need to have a new contract when I try to publish each .ibooks formatted book on iBookstore? (Not free book)

Use the same process and account as in the past, via iTunes Producer. Be sure to acknowledge updated agreements and download the latest iTP.

There are no guarantees.
I'm not sure, however, that if Apple decided it wasn't fit for publishing under a paid contract that they would then turn around and accept it as free, sorry. There are too many details involved and I'd think if you want it in the store you'd work to make it acceptable all around.

Can I still publish with a publisher after getting an ISBN through ibooks author? In other words if I publish my book digitally with you while it is out to pubilshers and one of the publishers want to pick it up is there any issue with that? Is it considered previously published?

Well, as a much published author in the traditional sense I would see it this way. Publishers like control and if you exercise your digital rights and publish with an ISBN then you will be limiting what they can do - unless you then agree a digital rights deal. Personally, anything I publish as an ebook I assume is not goint to get published traditionally unless of course it makes big buck and is then optioned. Don't worry about it - if you want to continue pitching books to publishers do so but come clean when they write and say they want to publish you - if they dont then no loss on your part. Honesty is the best policy here.

IBooks not opening with cover created by iBooks Author?

I have created an iBook with iBook Author uploaded to the iBookstore and downloaded to my iPad. It always opens on the first page and NOT the cover. How can I make it open on the cover and not the first page? Thanks and cheers! Sam

You don't specify how you're writing to the file, but this problem can occur
if you open the file and then keep it open so you can write data as it comes
in without the overhead of opening the file each time. When you use the
"Open File" function there is a "Deny Mode" input which defaults to letting
other applications read and write to the file while Labview has the file
open. If you have set this otherwise, there may be the problem. Otherwise,
try explicitly closing the file before reading it with Access.

Seriously, oving from Developer to JDevloper is a hard road. Forms is a 4GL and Java is a 3GL. This means you can do a lot more with Java than you can with Forms. It also means you have to do a lot of things in Java that Forms gives you for free.
The Oracle implementation in JDeveloper has some problems; just skim through this forum to get an idea of the range of problems. Some of these are areas where the documentation is inadequate (although it has improved markedly over the last few months), others are bugs in the Oracle APIs. And of course the IDE itself isn't as robust as one would like.
The good news is that Java is a really fun language and cool to work with. Once you've got to grips with it you'll never want to go back.

Sorry. No. Part of the agreement was that devices sold in the UAE are never allowed to have facetime (probably to prevent just what you're trying to do.)
If facetime is a make it or break it, you might sell yours and buy another one, or find some other service to use. Maybe skype would work for you?

Need some help with apple id?

i just gave my apple id and password to a friend, he needed it to update his apps and then he went away for some work, but i forgot to log out of his phone.
Does he will be able to use my id or it will ask for the password whenever he opens up the app store to buy apps or update it?
and i also changed my pswd after getting home so does this mean that if opens up my id and he puts the old password it will not work?

You cannot update to iOS 7.0.6...you can only uypdate to 7.1.0. If Find My Phone is turned on, you should login to your iCloud account from either a computer or a device running the Find My app and remove the iPhone from the devices list so you can completely restore.
You can download and install iOS 7.1.0 but you need to remove the Find My Phone if you cannot remember your password.

No, it's not possible. For the iPhone you must have .epub format. The apple app for making that is Pages.

I am teaching iBooks Author. And one of my students asked me why there is a tag to make a layout editable on iBooks Author.
So I tried to figure out the objective of using a tag on iBooks Author. But, I haven't found the reason that we put a tag into the process.

they are known as smart tags in ibooks author for page layout.
They identify books:
body part -- convert text box into linkable textbox
main image -- image will be act as media place-holder and will reflect in table of content

Well, i'm planning on buying an ipad 1 because is still capable and is cheaper than the 2 right now, and something wich is very frustrating for me is, do some apps are still fully compatible? as the title say's, the new books made with ibooks author are compatible?

With the current software ..books created using iBooks Author cannot be viewed on iPhones.
iBooks Author creates books that can only...be used with iPads and on Macs with Mavericks installed, by using iBooks.
Thats it...no rumours. Blogs or to be more accurate...some of those who contribute to them seem to either be totally stupid, or like to make themselves look as if they have inside knowledge.
Apple created iBooks Author to allow self publishers create and publish books to the store. But not just novels or text only type books. iBA made these books allow audio / video ..and much much more than any novel. That being so....most interactive multi media books will not really display well on a screen the size if the iPhone.
Apple are more concerned in getting iPads in use more by business and education at all levels.
The only rumour that may well become fact is a larger sized screen for a bigger iPad mid to late 2014.
