Do i need JCO Destination XI to Backend when the Systems are loadbalanced?

Hi there,
i have a problem. A company is sending data to our ECC System over our XI System.
In our consolidation System all works perfect.. no problems.. the consolidation Systems are single Instances. No load balancing or something.
I now transported the whole Scenario to our production Systems
XI Production and Backend ECC Production
Our Production ECC is loadbalanced.
Now the company gets an error when they want to connect to our Systems.
In the XI i see the following error:

I checked the etc/services also the SLD connection etc...
it works all fine.
In our Consolidation System there are NO JCO Destinations from our XI to our backend.
Do i need JCO Destination to our backend if the backend is loadbalanced?

Hi Bjoern,
The error that I see here, I suppose is from the communication channel as seen in the SXI_MONITOR.
When the XI system connects to the ECC system through the RFC communication channel, it uses the JCO connections.
As you have mentioned , the Production ECC system is Load Balanaced, the communication channel settings and configurations will be different than Quality and the development environment.

I'm a bit uncomfortable with you've wanted to do especially you and your friend has a different system (unless its a sister company/industry). If this would be the case you can copy your friend's macro with the help of your basis team to transport them in one system to another.
if the case is different organization, I'm not sure if that is possible since no industry have same requirements but i may suggest the links below for your reference on how to copy the Macro into external system. Hope the document is relevant to your issue.

All my movies are in 4:3 scale. I need to finalize a dvd, and when the movie enters in iDVD, burns in 16:9 format. What must I do?

I need a help from you. All my movies are in 4:3 scale.
I use always the same Easy SepUp in Final Cut. My movies is compressed as DV NTSC in 4:3 format.
I need to finalize a dvd, and when the movie enters in iDVD, the preview appears already written in green "widescreen preview", and so the finallized dvd goes to 16:9 format.
I checked in Idvd, and the size is choosed to 4:3.
Interestingly, I've used iDVD several times, including by using templatesmade to 16:9, and changing the format to 4:3 it always worked well.
Maybe is an Idvd update that causes it?

Sorry,I know this is a month late, but I think I remember this happening to myself some time ago. As I can best recall, I believe I had used an MP3 music file in my project (exported from FCP 7) and that was the cause in some strange way. I remember deleting a file (again, I believe the mp3 file) and then it worked fine as 4:3.Not positive, but I hope this helps.

My mailing system won't work, and I see many here have had the same problem. so I tried the suggestions I could find. Last thing I tried was deleting my mailing account, so that I could restore it again. Internet is working, everything else is working, plenty of space BUT now my email won't even be restored. I have tried to post the video from the video itself and also I have tried on the Facebook app and Facebook.com. I go to select video, then I write something about the video. It's showing the video attached before I even "post"to Facebook. Then I hit post and that's when I get the pop up that the video is too small.

Need to monitor any file change in the system, in real time

I am running a program that I suspect may be doing changes in the filesystem, but I do not know which ones. I would like to know if there is a daemon/program that could help me monitor those changes. I tried AIDE, however, it works by creating a database of checksums for each file and does not report in real time potential changes. I would rather use a program that logs changes and timestamp them. Furthermore, AIDE is not useable with /var files, since there are many of them and they change so often. Is there another good solution?
Alternatively I would like to run the program with monitoring. For instance, run the process as:
monitor_program my_program_to_monitor logfile
This would dump in logfile what my_program_to_monitor does to the filesystem.

no, at least with inotifywait, it is not possible. once you know what file is being changed you can use "lsof" to see what process have opened that file.
i tried the following to search lsof output first thing when inotifywait finds a file change.
file=$(inotifywait -r /home/mang/watch --format %w | sed 's/.$//'); lsof | grep $file
while in another terminal running "vi /home/mang/watch/test"
the output is:
zsh 12574 mang cwd DIR 254,11 4096 4723089 /home/mang/watch
vi 16790 mang cwd DIR 254,11 4096 4723089 /home/mang/watch

Need to have an alert sound when the program I'm working in times out

I work at the Univ of Utah. We have a program that times out after 40 mins. I've been told by the campus IT folks that Firefox does not supply an alert sound option for this type of situation. Is this information correct? If not, where do I find the option to have an alert sound?

I need to execute a formatted search when the field loses focus

Is this even possible? I do NOT want to force the users to press shift-f2 every time to validate/search on every field on the form. This is absurd. How can I trigger a formatted search on a field when it loses focus?
I tried activating menu item #7425, but it's not executing the one on the field that loses focus, but a different one. I guess it only works on the active field??
I tried catching an earlier event, but after it executes the formatted search on the right field, it places the value on whatever field just gained focus instead of the one it was assigned to.
Any ideas here? We cannot force our users to press shift-f2 on all these fields!
The only other idea I have is to not use a formatted search but instead try to create some sort of popup form with a grid and my own query. There has to be an easier way, right?

I use the following on a KeyDown event for when the User tabs out of a field after entering data if the data they entered is not valid. Perhaps you could try this in the LostFocus event:

OS10.6.8 -- i need to remove Helvetica Neue Family from the system...any ideas?

I know deleting this is not the answer. Any other ideas.

Helvetica Neue should be OK but if you see any of these get rid of them:
Fonts known to cause problems:
Helvetica Fractions, Times Phonetic and Alien.
If you have them, delete them!

R/3 Accessibility via JCo Destination

We have a WebDynpro application running in an SAP EP 7.0 SP15.
We have metadata and modeldata JCo destinations defined for an R/3 backend system.
The WebDynpro application is using the modeldata JCo destination to reach a BAPI in the R/3 backend system.
As far as SSO access is configured for the modeldata JCo destination, it is required that the Portal user of the WebDynpro applications has an user defined in the R/3 system.
We would need to find some solution so that the WebDynpro application can access the BAPI in spite the runtime Portal user does not exist in R/3 backend system (e.g. accessing R/3 system with another user, that could be hardcoded or mapped to the Portal user or whatever).
Is that possible? If yes, how?

JCo destination error while executing the webservice model

Hi,
I have explained what I have done so far and whats my issue right now.
My requirement is calling a PI interface (exposed as webservice) from webdynpro for java and setting some parameter value to the PI interface based on which our functional flow will continue.
Done so Far :
1. Created a webdynpro for java application using NWDI.
2. received the WSDL file of the PI interface and imported as "Adaptive webservice model" into webdynpro.
3. used the model and set the parameters to PI interface and executed the model.
4. I have created JCO destinations in the source system (where the application runs) to communicate to the PI system. A special user has been created and assigned in the connection for communicating.
5. Also I have created the "Dynamic Webseviceproxies" in visual admin with the same name as the JCO destinations. It had a property "URL" for which I have tested with providing both the PI server URL (Http://<Hostname>:<Port no>) and also the complete webservice URL (Which calls the WSDL file directly)
when I run the application, I get the following error.
1. Exception on creation of service metadata for WS metadata destination 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' and WS interface '{<Interface Name>'. One possible reason is that the metadata destination 'WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST' has not been properly configured; check configuration.
after some exception the next error follows
2. Invalid Response Code 403 while accessing URL: <The URL which I have provided in the webservice proxy in Visual admin tool> Response Message: Forbidden.
after some lines of exception from PI server the next error follows.
3. Error: You are not authorized to view the requested resource
My Question :
1. Do I miss anything in Configuration?
2. Is my way of approach wrong?
3. Any additional authorization needed?
Kindly provide some ideas and inputs.

Dear Mahendran
JCO destination will not used for the Web Service Model. While creating the webservice model, you need to use the logical destination which you have created in the Visual Admin.
