Do I need NI card to use DAQmx in my c# ?

Do I need NI card to use NI-DAQmx to get measuring from Foundation Fieldbus device  in my c# application? Connection to FF device is via USB Fieldbus Interface.

If you need to use DAQmx, then of course you need to use an NI card.  But you are thinking of this in the wrong order.  Do you need to use an NI card to communicate with teh FF device?  You can, but there are probably other cards out there as well.  If you use an NI card, it probably won't use DAQmx but other things such as VISA since it is probably more like a serial protocol than a DAQ device.  If you use another brand, then you use the that company's drivers with it.
I just realized you posted in the wrong forum.  This forum is for requesting files to be converted between different version of LabVIEW.
You should be posting elsewhere.  Possibly  Instrument Control (GPIB, Serial, VISA, IVI)

The US prices do not have local sales tax included. The sales tax is added to the transaction in the final step of the purchase. You will need to redeem another gift card sufficient to cover the amount the local sales tax would be for this purchase or supply another payment method, such as the requested bank card.

I used a voucher to validate my account and i still need a card.
I recently purchased an iTunes gift woucher. This was to validate my account as my previous card was about to expire.
I did this before and worked fine but my account still wants a card on file.
I am a student and will not be approved for a credit card.

    Hello there Stuart,
I would recommend setting your payment method to None for your Apple ID if you can, with this article:
    iTunes Store: Changing account information
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
Changing your account information using a computer:
    Open iTunes.
    Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then click the Sign In button.
Choose Store > View My Account.
Enter your account password, and click the View Account button.
    Then
From the Apple Account Information page, click the Edit Payment Information button.
Edit the information that you would like to change.Note: The payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts can be found in the payment type section. If you do not want a payment method on your account, select None in the payment type section.
Click the Done button once you've updated all of your information.
    All the very best,

  • I have a late 2009 iMac, with a Nvidia 9400 Graphics card.  I was wondering what my options are for upgrading.  I use Windows 7 via Bootcamp, so I need a card that is compatible.

I have a late 2009 iMac, with the default Nvidia 9400 Graphics card.
I was wondering what my options are for upgrading.  I use Windows 7 via Bootcamp, so I need a card that is compatible/has available drivers.
This is for gaming. On the lowest settings of "Call of Duty 4", I get about 100 FPS... Was hoping to be able to play on higher resolution w/o the fps lag.
I'm not good with the hardware part of computers at all, but know how to get around the OS.

In most cases the graphics cards in iMacs are Not upgradeable.  They are usually soldered to the logic board.  RAM is considered, along with harddrives, the only component that is upgradeable in an iMac, unlike in PC's.  So basically you would need to sell your unit and purchase an iMac with a more powerful graphics card.
    Hope this helps

There is not any none option. I must need credit card. I m in Australia so can't use australian credit card. What can I do ?

Part of the validation for cards is that they are registered to the same name and address as on your iTunes account, prepaid cards tend not to be so won't be accepted.
What you owe isn't shown on the payment details screen of your account ? If iTunes gift cards are available in your country then you should be able to redeem them onto you account so that you can your debt, after which you should get the 'none' option so that you can remove the prepaid card.

  • Do I need to use DAQmx Base for PDA module or DAQmx will work just fine?

    Hi All,
Does PDA module work only with DAQmx Base or DAQmx as well?
    hellolv

    Hi hellolv,
The PDA module currently only works with DAQmx Base.  If you've never used DAQmx Base before, it is actually very similar to DAQmx, and there are lots of examples out there to get you started.  I recommend searching through our Example Code Library.
    Thanks,

  • Using DAQmx with Wine

    Hello,
is there any experience if it is possible to access I/Os using DAQmx when running a LabVIEW executable under Wine?
I want to use the NI USB 6210.
The host operating system is Ubuntu and I want to run my LabVIEW executable in the Wine environment.
The executable itself is running fine but up to now, I wasn't able to get access to the hardware.
Do I need to install the Linux drivers for the USB box?
Or do I need to pass the USB device to Wine somehow?
    Any help is apppreciated.
    Thank you,
    Christian

    Christian,
I have no personal experience with DAQmx and Wine, but here's what I see about their drivers on the wiki page:
Hight level HW drivers usb, printer, scanner.. (in terms of
driver stack) might eventually work as they don't talk directly to the
hardware but to the lover level drivers. It's possible to create those
[lower] level "drivers" that talk to the hardware via Linux drivers.
Example is experimental support for USB drivers.
Low level HW drivers (network cards, video drivers,
specific hardware, etc). won't ever work as they talk directly to the
hardware which Wine can't do. And emulating this won't by feasible.
Besides you'll have better chances getting Linux driver instead.
This does not look like a good way to go, through you can try using the DAQmx Base driver (which is different from NI-DAQmx and is supported on some Linux distributions) directly in Ubuntu. Here's a post that may help get you up and running.
    Good luck,
    Misha

  • How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone?

How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone?  I can physically copy the tunes as mp3's but the phone does not seem to be able to play all of them.   Do I need to copy an entire album or can I just pick & choose individual songs?   The phone is question is an LG running who knows what for an operating system.

AAC is Advanced Audio Coding.  Basically it's a format that sounds better than MP3 but doesn't take up as much space as a lossless format (like you'd have on a CD).  More than likely you've had that encoding turned on when you ripped your music into itunes (it's the default encoder).  Therefore your LG phone won't play them.
You need to turn off the AAC format by going to the iTunes menu, Preferences, General (at the top), then clicking the "Import Preferences" button.  Change the AAC Encoder to MP3 Encoder.  After that you'll have to make MP3 copies of your songs by right clicking them and selecting "Create MP3 Version."  You'll get a copy of the song that should transfer to your SD card and have MP3 encoding.  Hopefully your phone will play that.

  • How to set up set which NIC card to use for multicast?..

I just downloaded Rolling Patch 1 for WLS6.0SP2.
While reading the README file it says
" ISSUE 42518: Provided a way to set which NIC card to use for multicast traffic
Can anyone tell me how to set this?. on my WebApplication server it has two NIC
cards and I want to use the NICcard which is being used to talk to internal network
              for multicast messages.
              One more thing,
Can anyone one tell how to search for bugs (ISSUES) in weblogic. I am looking

              Thanks Kumar, I'll try this.
Does this -Dweblogic.interfaceAddress used only for multicast. Or this is also
              used to talk to AdminServer?.
The other problem I am facing is when I restart the AdminServer in recovery mode
it's not finding my WebApp servers, because my webapp servers are on public network
and my admin (management) server is on private network.

  • I purchased the 5s yesterday and wanted to dock the phone into my Bose Sound Dock that I use for my IPOD and used for my previous Apple smart phone.  What steps do I need to take to use the feature of Pandora on this IPOD dock

I purchased a Apple 5s yesterday replacing my two year old Apple 3G.  With my old phone I used it to dock into a Bose Sound Dock to listen to Pandora and other music outlets.  The Bose dock also is used to play my IPOD.  What steps do I need to take to use my new phone on this dock to continue playing Pandora

This is the only thing I could find but it does not answer my question or even what I was told by the Global Support Rep.
Verizon has confirmed (here and here) they WILL unlock the SIM on the iPhone 4S, allowing for use of local SIM cards while traveling abroad (no word yet on whether this will allow for use on AT&T and T-Mobile.) This is different than the jailbreak unlocking method; SIM unlocking through Verizon is permanent and will not affect your warranty in any way.
    1. Meet the following requirements:
    * Must be a Verizon Wireless customer.
    * The iPhone 4S being unlocked must be active on a Verizon Wireless line of service.
    * The line of service must be active at least 60 days.
    * The line of service must be in good standing for the past 60 days.
    * Only one SIM Unlock per line every 10 months.
If you don't meet one or more of the above requirements, call anyway. You may still get lucky.
    2. Insert a foreign SIM into the SIM card slot on the side of your phone (only required to confirm that the unlock is successful.)
    3. Call 1-800-711-8300 (Verizon Global Support) and ask the representative for a SIM unlock. Occassionally a representative may not know exactly what you are referring to; make sure you are not transferred to a different department. You are in the right place. Explain that they should have a walkthrough on how to do this, and that it allows for the use of local, non-Verizon SIM cards while traveling abroad.
    4. Get confirmation from the rep that the unlock has been applied to your account, then check your phone to make sure it recognizes your SIM and can connect (if successful it will roam on AT&T, assuming you are calling from the USA.) You will NOT see an unlock confirmation in iTunes as that is for a factory-applied unlock only.
    5. Enjoy your new unlocked iPhone 4S!

  • How can I get properties of global virtual channels using DAQmx?

I'm using DAQmx with VB6. In my app, I would like to be able to present the user with a list of available predefined channels to select from. I can use DAQmxGetSysGlobalChans to get a list of the channels, but I need a way to sort out which of these channels are defined as inputs, and which are outputs. It would also be nice to be able to query other properties of the virtual channel (for example, the device and physical channel being used). These all seem very simple things, but I haven't found anything like this in the documentation so far.
    Thanks.

Try using  DAQmxGetChanType(TaskHandle taskHandle, const char channel[ ], int32 *data)DAQmxGetChanType(TaskHandle taskHandle, const char channel[ ], int32 *data).  This will return one of the following types:
    DAQmx_Val_AI
    10100
    Analog input channel.
    DAQmx_Val_AO
    10102
    Analog output channel.
    DAQmx_Val_DI
    10151
    Digital input channel.
    DAQmx_Val_DO
    10153
    Digital output channel.
    DAQmx_Val_CI
    10131
    Counter input channel.
    DAQmx_Val_CO
    10132
    Counter output channel.
Let me know if this works.

    L. Allen
