Do I need OS 9 (not Classic)?

Am running 10.4.5 on a Mini.
Bought a MiniStack in which I put a HD from my Beige G3 with 10.2.8 and 9.2.2 on it. I could run Jaguar and OS 9 applications without any noticable problems.
But, that older HD is too noisy (wasn't noticable in the G3) and am replacing it with a newer/larger one (in the MiniStack).
Do I need a "real" OS 9 to run all my older apps., or is the Classic install from the Tiger Disks up to it?

OK, glad you're making progress.
Yes, when the note refers to an "OS 9 disk," it means a boot/install disk for 9, which of course the Mini did not come with.
However, in the install disks which DID come with your Mini, there is material to install "Classic." As you say, yes, you can just use that material to install a new 9.2.2 setup directly. (Actually, you said install from your "Tiger disks." If you meant the ones which came with your Mini, yes, they have the Classic material. If you meant Tiger from a "retail" version which you purchased, be advised those disk(s) do NOT contain the OS 9 material material any more, so you will need to get it elsehwere, in your case, again, from the disks which came with your computer. Confusing, no?)
I only suggested the other way (copying your existing OS 9 System folder) because it is fairly easy (it's really all you need for Classic. Anything else, such as installed OS 9 applications, etc., you're going to have to copy over or reinstall anyway.) Also, you know that that version of Classic, as it's currently set up/configured, is working on your machine (granted, under Jaguar.)
It is quite likely to continue to work well under Tiger, and saves you from configuration hassles, if any. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with doing it the way you are suggesting and, if there is any suggestion of your old setup being corrupted, etc., of course the fresh install would be preferable.
Last note: about the "Classic" vs. "OS 9" terminology, basically you state it correctly. I'd only add that Classic is an environment (as you said) which utilizes elements of the OS 9 operating system to run programs which cannot run under OS X. As a further point, as you know, there are a number of older applications which will not run under Classic, but require a machine (such as your old one) booted into OS 9.

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

Syncing your phones to the same iCloud account won't cause them to both ring all the time, it only puts the same contacts, calendars, and other synced data on the phone. The phones will only ring with someone calls the number associated with the phone.
If you want to stop using iCloud on one or both of the phones, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then choose Keep On My iPhone when prompted. This will disconnect them from iCloud and keep a copy of the synced data on the phone.

You can't do it directly on the iPad - the new album functionality basically only allows you to copy photos into those new albums, you can't move them. The way that I think of it as working is that you are just creating pointers to the photos in those new albums, so if you then delete the original photo on the iPad you therefore automatically delete all the pointers to it.
If you want to re-organise your albums then you will need to do it on your computer and then sync those albums over to the iPad

The original specs for that computer was Vista 32 bit.

Move the incompatible iPhoto version to the Trash, before you try to reinstall from the AppStore, but don't empty the Trash.

The main idea is to move the iPhoto app to the Trash, so Spotlight does not see it as installed, reload the AppStore Purchases tab with ⌘R, and then to try to download again from the App Store - from your Purchases tab, not from the main page, since you can neither buy iPhoto nor update it, but you can reinstall, if your AppleID is associated with it.

Your posts was great you were not whining about your rights to file complaints to the FCC or FTC etc. One of the best I have read.
And I am not trying to sway you from your phone choice. If you looked at my avitar it shows apple iphones. But I use and have used androids and not Windows phones.
However your numbers of windows phone users all leaving over the issue is miniscule in the number of users of Android and iOS devices.
I have written many times I wish all the devices get updated like iOS devices do. But at present that is not happening
No bashing, no adversarial post just a little common sense is all I use.

i really like the not classic crop tool
but i have a problem
the classic crop tool if i drag it to left photoshop moves the crop to the left , and if i drag to the right it moves to the right
but in the new version if i drag it to the left it moves to the right
ok ,it's just like lightroom
i tried to get used to the new behavior with no luck
is there a way , edit the registry or other way to change this behavior?
i mean i really love the new crop feature , i would love to use it and drag the crop to left and see photoshop moves to the left just like every other version of photoshop

If I understand what you're saying, what is confusing to you is that when you drag, you are moving the image itself underneath the selection, as opposed to moving the selection over the image. Drag to the left and you're moving the image to the left under the selection, so the selection remains stationary in its position relating to the window, but the selection is now positioned to the right of its original position relative to the image.
That's just the new behavior.
However, if instead of dragging from the somewhere inside your selection, you drag from one of the handles of the selection, the direction of the stretching of your selection will appear more like what yiu are used to, particularly if you are set to Fit Image on Screen.
If you play around with that a bit, you'll get the hang of itin no time.

Aaaaah, that is where your problem lies!
You either like the new Crop Tool, or you like the old, Classic mode. You can't have a little bit of one and another little bit of the other one.
