Do I need special version of forms 2000 and forms 6i for Xandros Linux?
Hi,
Please tell me if someone knows that, do i need any special version of forms 2000 and forms 6i
for 'xandros Linux' or the same can be install which we usually use for windows xp or 2000.

Have in mind that Xandros is not certified. However, the biggest problem if the distribution is a newer on is about OpenMotif libraries as Developer 6i installation requires version 2.1.30 to install successfully.

It is perfectly fine to sell what you create with all versions of Illustrator, even the educational one.
The price difference is because if you commit for a full year you get a better price - kind of like a volume discount.
If you subscribe, you will have to continue paying each month if you want to continue to use the software. It's a subscription, so you'll need to pay for as long as you want to keep using the software. -
CRM-ISU: Need to change the END date and Start Date for contract items

There is an old contract item for which I need to change the end date
and there is a new contract item for which I need to change the start date.
I need to change the contract item end date and start date using some function module in IS-U system (may be as RFC to CRM).Pleaselet me know if any body is ware of this functionality?
I am aware of a FM EECRM_CONTRACT_DATE_CHANGE which may be used for changing End Date
but how to change the start date of a new contract item?

hi, i need to make a report on delivery status and response status for capaign recipients but cannot find them in the campaign subject area nor the campaign response subject area, any idea?
thanksCorrect the Campaign Response History is the report you are looking for. The fields that may be helpful to you are.
Response status - This shows message opened, click-thru's, opt outs etc
Delivery status - Hard bounce, soft bounce etc
To get more details from the above results add the following.
Response type - This will show the URL that was clicked on a click-thru in case you have multiple links tracked in one email. It will also show the reason for hard bounces. This is important because not all hard bounces will trigger the "Never Email" flag to be checked. This occurs for emails with the bounce statuses of Bad Address,
Address Moved or Unknown Address only. -

currently i'm facing one problem like :
i'm populating one receipt detail in Multi block , like when user key in one receipt number that time record should go in first record ,and if they key in second receipt number then record should go in second record . mean to say every time record go in last record ..but the problem is i want to generate Serial no correspondence to every last record ..
here is my approch :

when user fetch one receipt automatically and then after he want to enter next record manually and he decided to go in detail block ,
and once he reached in detail block that time block level trigger i firing .ans serial number 2 generated and then suddenly he came to know no i want to fetch next record automatically mean to say now user going again master block and fetching next receipt detail ,
but the problem is when user leaving seccond sr no and going in master block and population next receipt detail that time cursor going on 3 record
but logically have to replace the second Serial no and generate the again serial number 2 record population .
so i'm appreciating is anyone if came accoross this type of issue please corrrect my code and send updated code ..plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Windows 2000 and 8.1.7 on Linux
I am running Oracle 8.1.7 on Redhat 7.1. I have installed the client portions of Designer 6i release 2 and Webdb 2.2.0.0.5 on a Windows 2000 client with the database portions residing in the database on linux. While working in designer and webdb I occasionally lose my database connection and sometimes when I attempt to log on I get a TNS packet writer failure (ORA-12571) on my first attempt to connect and then get right in on my second connection attempt. Is anyone else running this configuration? Does anyone know if this is a Windows 2000 or a Linux problem?

Don TiptonJust out of curiosity, are these data loads replacing the existing data, or adding to them, and are they growing in size? And how big are the files now, in terms of record count and record length? Also, I would issue the 'show parameters' command on both the NT and Linux machines to see if there are any huge differences in sizing somewhere.
If the tables are pretty much static in size and aren't updated much, you might benefit from defining Stored Outlines for the queries that refer to these tables. Once defined, this will store an execution plan in the data dictionary rather than re-generate one at query time. -
Desperately need help with a networked printer and SMB sharing for windows
Complete xServ newbie here. I'm a windows/novell admin, with limited experience in Unix and Linux.
Against my advice, a client of mine that owns a small office of 20 people bought an XServG5 to act as a server for 20 mixed Windows PCs. File sharing services are working fine. I've created the users, set up groups and rights - that's all good.
I cannot get an SMB shared printer to work from the windows machines. They run through the network printer install just fine, it shows up online, etc. However, when print jobs are submitted they DO show up in the printer queue on the server, sit there for a while, and then get moved to the completed box.
They never print. There's not any indication that the job is even submitted to the printer. I can print to the printer just fine from the server itself, but the windows clients don't work, but they don't return an error message.
Print services are running on the server, I've configured the printer name to be less than 12 characters for the share, and indeed it does pop right up during the "add network printer" routine.
Ideas? I'm not even sure what questions I'm supposed to be asking, such is my ignorance of the OS. I do know that I followed the documentation to a T, and according to Apple this should work.

Can you go into the Windows service, Logs, Printer Service. Copy and paste the log here. What I am looking for is a line like lpr: CANNOTCONNECTCLIENT or something similar to this.
What I expect is that you have a problem where the cups defined printer is not usable. We can't get our problem fixed either - but am just curious if you have the same thing. We reloaded our server, applied all of the update and still cannot get it to work.
Again, I think it stems from the update. -

ThanksWell, first of all why you want to go for 2 tier stuff ? You should be using Forms 9i/10g and application server (that is: 3 tier architecture).
The software (that is Developer 2K) would obviously be different for all the platforms just like any other software.
Also give us the details of your setup (server and client machines), so that some other suggestions can be given.

Okay, i missed the 2nd line in your post. So your server is Windows based and you want to use Linux based client to connect to it. If the executables are to be deployed on Windows then you need to compile also on Windows. So compilation of binaries on your client is out of question. You can only develop and make changes sitting on your client machine. Now if there is any version of Forms 6i for Linux ? i am not sure. You need to check.

How to retrieve Min(startDate) and Max(endDate) for different groups of data? (sql server 2000)
My sample dataset (below) contains 3 groups -- 'a', 'b', 'c'. I need to retrieve the Min(startDate) and Max(EndDate) for each group so that the output looks something like this (date format not an issue):

c 4/26/1987 12/31/2002
What is the Tsql to perform this type of operation? Note: the actual data resides in a sql server 2000 DB. If the Tsql is different between version 2000 and the later versions -- I would be grateful for both versions of the Tsql

It is unclear what you are trying to achieve, you said that it is SQL Server 2000 but provide a sample data with SQL Server 2008 syntax
