The case is big enough, but maybe the 1200 is even bigger and a solid alternative is the CoolerMaster HAF932.
SSD's are nice but costly choices when the rest of the components are really perfect. There are few systems that are perfect however. Add to that the fact that budgettary limits apply to most people, and then choices need to be made. An SSD would be the last thing on my list of improvements for my system, simply because the list is so long and the funds limited.
If I were to build a new system, it would be in this sequence:
1. 16 new Hitachi 7K3000 2 TB disks
2. 3 x Chenbro or Supermicro disk cages for 15 hot swappable disks
3. New X79 mobo and Sandy Bridge E, details to be determined (Q1/2012)
4. New Areca ARC 24 port PCIe 3.0 raid controller with 4 GB cache and BBM (Q1/2012)
5. Upgrade RAM to maximum capacity, hopefully 32 GB on the X79
6. New video card to replace the 480, by that time possibly the GTX 680
7. miscellaneous upgrades
9. 2 SSD's in raid0 as a boot disk (last on my list)
In your case - not chassis - there are more pressing improvements IMO than a SSD.
The Quadro 600 should be exchanged for either a GTX 560+ or, if you really need 10 bit color, for a Quadro 4000+. You did not mention whether you have a 10 bit monitor and a BM card for ingesting 10 bit source material. If that is not the case the 560+ option is better.
The G-Tech is nice for backups, but what do you have as your boot drive for OS & programs? A single Samsung 320 GB F4 disk for only € 32 is a good solution. 3 Hitachi's in raid5 on the ICH10R is a bad idea. It is slower than molasses in winter. Better increase the number of disks in the raid5 and put them on a dedicated raid controller, either a LSI or an Areca. I would go for at least an 8-port version.

You won't be able to restore a device running iOS 4.2 from a backup of a device running iOS 5 (as you found out). And the Iphone 3G can only be updated to iOS 4.2.1 so there is no way to migrate from his iPhone 4 back to his iPhone 3G. He would have to at least have an iPhone 3GS, which will update to iOS 5.1 and would be able to restore from the iPhone 4 backup. Unfortunately, there isn't any way around it.

Try these in order:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
     Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
     COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
     after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
     Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Most versions of Office 2008 use an Universal installer. A few have one which is PowerPC-only.
In any case, Mac OS X Server 10.6 can be run in emulation, and Rosetta applications can be run in it. Saying that PowerPC-only applications won't run in Mac OS X 10.7 is correct. Saying that they won't run on a Mac which shipped with Mac OS X 10.7 is not.

The email address that forms the username for your AppleID is irrelevant. It does not have to be accurate, working, or even in use by you. Software purchased with a specific AppleID must use that ID to update that software.
I don't know what happens when you change the old username for the AppleID.
Did you change the user name for th AppleID or did you get a new AppleID with your new email?

I have been stuck on a PPC g5 2gb dual tower for the last 8 years. 12 months ago the internal power died and I paid to have it repaired. A couple of weeks this happened again. It's not really economical for me to repair it and I really need to be getting up to speed before I fall further behind the Mac community. With this in mind I took the plunge and bought a new MacBook pro this week. I am excited about the possibility of this machine but my issue is this. I presume it will come with lion or mountain lion installed.
My G5 tower had two internal drives one with leopard and one tiger. A newish western digital caviar black 1.5 tb disc which was partitioned into a 1tb and a 500 mg drive. Both these were to host the OS 10.5.8 my files iTunes iPhoto mail docs and other bits. The other internal drive was a bootable 10.4.7? Disc running audio apps cubase etc
I presume the internal discs are still intact and readable although the Mac is dead. How will I migrate the data to the new MacBook pro. Is it advisable to buy an external usb3 enclosure and get the data somehow that way. Then I can use these drives as backups for the new Mac.
I know most poc programs I had will need to be replaced. However will I be able to get my iPhoto and iTunes library back from the redundant drives and what about my mail? Is there anything else I need to be aware of and will it be a complete nightmare or would this process be straight forward. I know I am moving three operating systems ahead so I can only imaging I may have some difficulty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely. However, do note that it might in all likely hood boot with Snow Leopard, since the firmware has changed. At least that's the consensus amongst those buying up iMacs, MacPros, and MBPs. Apparently, won't work with the ones shipping with retina displays. That said, it might behoove you to spend $20 USD and get a Snow Leopard install disc. Borrow another machine, install it onto an external HD, update it to 10.6.8 and other OS X apps, and try booting the new MBP with it.

Either that or a combined FW800/USB 3.0 enclosure. Then, consider updating the Leopard volume to Snow Leopard. Then, hook it up to the new MBP, follow the steps in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide. Once that's finished, try booting with the SL ext HD. If that works, then you'll be able to use all legacy PPC apps except the classic ones.
If successful, whether or not you wipe Lion/ML from the MBP, clone the SL volume to it, or clone the Lion/ML volume to the ext HD (another partition) so you can play with it, is up to you.
Bottom line is you can probably do most of your current Leopard work with the MBP running SL. If so, then you can take your time examining whether or not to move forward to the iOSified OSs, Lion and ML. I compute with SL and play with the others, but, since I have no iOS or wireless devices, they don't offer much for computing and minor security improvements.

I'm hoping this isn't to much of a complicated issue. I use after effects regularly but the expression stuff does have me baffled. I can convert the audio to keyframes with out an issue. What I'm trying to achieve is this - I have a talking head with the bottom mouth part cut on a sperate layer. i'd like the mouth layer to move up and down being driven by the audio. I can pick whip to the audio no problem but then I need to ensure it only effects one of the position values and also 'fine tune' how the audio effects that value.

OK, I have managed to get it to do pretty much what I need to do. the only problem i have now is changing the value representation on the slider. i know you can right click the slider to change the value but when i link with the expression, the slider value changes back to 0-100. I can get around the problem by changing the anchor point but surely there must be away to 'control' the value representation in the slider??

Interesting but not possible, to do that you need to have already implemented a trace function inside each program one year ago.
SAP didn't save this kind of data.
You could always have a look of the transaction STATTRACE.

Yes you can use the software to move music and message to your computer - you would need to add the music back to your iTunes media library.

You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem. You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

TC - Time Capsule
AEX - Airport Express
My current set-up:
Billion ADSL2+ modem & 11g wireless router (I got this from my ISP, and will be keeping it because I use its voIP capabilities)
2 x 11g AirPort Expresses which I join onto the current 11g network - I only use these for the AirTunes feature
2 MacBook Pro's
1 MacMini
Scenario:
I figure when I get a 1TB TC I'll plug it into the router & use it to set up a new 11n wireless network. _**Will I still be able to use my old 11g AEX's to join onto the new 11n network so I can continue to use AirTunes? Or will I have to replace all my old 11g AEX's with the new model that support 11n?**_
On top of the additional expenses of having to buy new 11n AEX's, it'll be a pity of have to throw out relatively new and perfectly working 11g AEX's
Before we get even that far, I wonder if anyone has experience with using TC with a Billion modem/router? (I will turn the Wifi function on the Billion off of course). I have come across a couple of discussion threads where people described difficulty getting the TC to work with some routers.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Does 'running in bridged mode' = 'dual-band network'?
I had no idea you could set up a dual-band network, which could potentially work well for me because I've also got a Mac Mini on my present network, which does not support the 11n system and is not known to be upgradeable to it (as yet).
So just to clarify, if I had this dual-band set-up, my 2 MacBook Pros & to-be-acquired Time Capsule could work off the 11n network, and my 11g AEX's & Mac Mini could work off the 11g network (from my original router)?
And I would actually be setting up 2 network names (1 x 5G & 1 x 2.4G) for the 1 same network?
How different would the network speed be if I set the TC up as '11n 5G only,' compared with '11n, b/g-supported?' I'd only be using Time Machine on my MacBook Pro (my work computer), so I'd like its network to be as fast as possible.
And one last question, would the Mac Mini have any problems accessing and writing data onto the TC, since it'll have to access TC through a bridged 11g network? (As opposed directly accessing the TC 11n network).
