Do i need to activate EAX in the desktop when i want it to run inga

I have an Audigy2 ZS but i seem to be having problems....
when i have hardware accelleration fully enabled in sound and audio device settings and EAX enabled in the EAX control panel i dont get sound in games such as rome total war, saga of ryzom, tomb raider angel of darkness and a few others. If i knock the hardware accelleration down a notch thewn i get sounds but im assuming im not making full use of the soundcards capabilities.
Am i doing something wrong by enabling the EAX before playing a game that i thought was fully compatible with it's
any answer would be greatly appreciated as this is REALLY starting to frustrate me.

The EAX control panel should be set to No Effects when using a game's EAX setting. The two are different meanings for the same term. The EAX control panel is for the direct application of specific effects engine settings. The EAX game setting is about using CL's EAX extentions to Microsoft's DirectSound3D, which is vaguely like the game operating an internal EAX control panel to use the effects engine to enhance game sound. At the very least, you won't get a game's intended sound if can add additional effects to it. My best guess as to why you wouldn't get sound in some cases with both enabled would be that the two together aren't able to fit in the effects engine available program space.

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

Hi Everyone. I tried everything and in the end I went to apple and in 5mins problem was solved - they gave me a new (refurb) iphone.
So to everyone with the same issues the only way to salvage ur iphone is to get a new one. Best bit was that i came with ios 5.1.1 and i am stcking with it!

Go to System Preferences > Displays > and you should see two different windows, one for your iMac's display and one for the extra display. Click on the one for the extra display. Click on the Arrangement tab at the top. In the lower left corner, uncheck the box for "Mirror Displays" and it should go to extended desktop. You may also wish to check the box for Show displays in menu bar if you need to access the Displays pref frequently.

Bookmark drop downs that go outside the Firefox window are left on the desktop when bookmarks closed requiring a refresh to clean up

If I open Bookmarks and select a folder that is longer than the Firefox window is high, the part of the bookmarks list that falls outside the window remains on the desktop when I leave bookmarks or close the window. I must then do a refresh of the desktop to get rid of the junk. Does not happen with MS IE9. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on a SONY VAIO laptop. It started when I went to the VAIO last November. A "Show Desktop" or a refresh of the desktop cleans it up.

Could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches with some graphic cards/drivers.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Hi Lisa,
I know from experience that this must be a frustrating situation for you especially if you don't want to loose the music/video content that is currently on your ipod. Unfortunately though you may have to consider re-syncing it as it thinks its currently synced with another computer.
If you bought any music that is on the ipod through itunes you can opt to right click the ipod in itunes and 'transfer purchases' if you authorise your library in the 'Store' menu in itunes. Some reasons for this happening may include some of the following:
Deleting and reinstalling your itunes on the computer.
Removing the account you had on the computer you used itunes in and making a new one. (User account, eg: Lisa).
Changing computers in the past.
A friend or family member syncing it on their computer to give you there music.
A sign of a failing iPod.
Alternatively you can opt to not sync it and keep the music that is on your ipod there but this means you will never be able to update your ipod.

After I create say a word document, file it on my desktop and then shut down my machine. The next time I open up the MacBook the file icon has been removed from the desktop. I can still retrieve the file in a folder labeled with the month I created it. But why has the OS removed it from the desktop and how can I stop it happening?
It happens to alias icons as well!

The only way I can get my Outlook to work is if I switch to Firefox web browser. I would rather not switch to a new web browser if I don't have to.
It seems like what ever the problem is that its related the Safari web browser, because it works fine on the Firefox web browser.
I think its some kind of plug-in failure because it giving me a LOC ERROR:
LOC ERROR: Unable to locate localized string for resource ID 5007.
How can I fix this Plug-in?
And, yes my softwer is conpletly updated…

By the way, everything is normal with iPhoto and iTunes.

The Touch and iPhone do not have disk mode, that is why you can't see it.

Are you using a Windows or a Mac? What you're seeing (the backwards L shaped menu) is probably the Canon Quick Menu. If you have a Mac you can go into your applications, select Canon Utilities, then drag Canon Quick menu to the trash and empty trash can. On Windows you'd go to the control panel, select Programs and Features (or Uninstall Program/Add or Remove Program) and uninstall the Canon Quick Menu. Not required for all the normal functions of the printer. You can do the same thing for My Image Garden. Also not required.

If you're stuck within an app or you've noticed a problem, simply hold both the home button and sleep/wake button at the same time. It's important to keep your fingers on these buttons until step 3.
After a few seconds the red ‘slide to power off' screen will appear, simply ignore this. Ensure your fingers are still holding down the home and sleep/wake switch.

last time some1 set it up for me. i would only have 1 shortcut on my desktop. everytime i clicked on it, it would ask me which profile i wanted. even if i had 1 or 2 of the others open it would still ask me which profile i wanted to open. i want to be able to do it that way again.
yes i already set up the 3 profiles. but once i open up the one profile, and click on the short cut to open another, it just opens a brwser window with the profile in use. so i could open 10 windows, its only 1 profile, the first profile i used.
and yes i have the box not checked
