Do I need to be running on a Tiger or Leopard system in order to install Aperture?

I am currently using a MacPro under the Mac OS X v10.6.8 Snow Leopard system. Can I install Aperture if I do not have the Tiger or Leopard systems? Also, do I need to have a particular graphic card to install Aperture? Thanks!
