Do I need to buy a gift iPad in the country where it will be used?
I need to purchase an iPad as a gift for a client who lives in France. Is it ok for me to purchase it in the US and take it to France? Or do I need to purchase one through the French Apple Store that is configured specifically for France/Europe? Thanks very much for any advice & specifics.
Yes, you can buy it in the USA and take it to France. However, you can buy it via the Apple Store and have it shipped to France.

Many thanks.I don't believe there is any correlation between the serial number and the version of iOS, but the sales person may be able to tell you when the unit was received into their stock. If it was before September 18th, it certainly should have iOS 6.

If you have a paid-up version of LR4 or earlier, you can pay for an upgrade licence. When you install LR and it asks for a licence, if you give it an upgrade licence then it will ask for the previous licence that you're upgrading.

I am very happy to report that my server connection tech, which I called via landline, informed me to : 1. Open Tools 2. Scan down to Clear Recent History 3. Delete All. That was it! Unbelievable! Six hours of searching through the Windows catagories. I checked the results on an internet site, and viola! It was gone! Mozilla Firefox seems to remember the usernames and passwords irregardless of the option window that asks if you if want it to remember the user and password. I finally got in touch with my friend and he said he did not answer yes to the window, even though he was aware of it. No damage. I surely do appreciate everyones' concern in this, now what seems to be, a very simple solution. Cudos to Firefox! Thank-you! P.S. I now have to enter my information at the beginning of any password protected sites...no harm done! My friend is now condemned to the 'user account' site! lol...

From the day 01/04/2014, I can not even update the apps on my iPad 4 or buy via my iPad. The same happens with the iPad mini ... My internet connection being excellent. I usually can get with the devices on the Internet, the App Store, enter into any service of any Cloud Apps. But I can not update or buy apps App What is happening?

Typically all you would need is an Ethernet cable (cat5, rj45 end), and it would be connected to the LAN port on the DSL modem, and the Ethernet jack on the AP Express.

CDMA isn't any use here as there aren't any UK CDMA based carriers, they are all GSM/sim card based (I'm not aware of any CDMA carriers in Europe). As the AT&T version appears to support an extra 4G LTE band then that might be the better one. -

It requires a Mac running 10.6.8 to be installed. Snow Leopard can be purchased at the Apple Store for about $20. -

I think you can get Windows 7 for around $99. Install the 64bit version as the 32bit version will not be able to use all your new computer's ram if you have more than about 3.5gb.
Back up your quick books data now before the old hard drive dies. You can copy your data over to your new installation of Windows and quick books.

There is no online Apple store for Cyprus, so how do you think you are going to buy the phone? You need to have an address and credit card for the country whose store you are using and they will not ship outside the country, so if you were thinking of using the US Apple store without a US address or credit card, think again, because you won't be able to do it.
