Do I need to de-authorise PS CS3?

I have the CS3 (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro etc.) on my G4 MDD and I'm running out of hd space so I need to install a larger internal hd. I plan to populate my new hd from a clone of my current one. Do I need to de-authorize PS and other CS apps before doing that or will Adobe products still keep the authorization when on the new hd?

You definitely need to deactivate from the Help menu.
Then re-activate on the new drive.

if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps. the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

If your two activation are in use you need to call Adobe. Install CS3 to to point of activation and call Adobe at that point. They have help me in cases like your My Disk crashed and I replaced it. Could not deactivate the crash activation. I done that twice over the years I've been using PS for around 20 years
To see your key you need to click on the product in your Adobe products and services page.

Need help getting Adobe OnLocation CS3 to work with windows 7 64 bit. The program installed ok and the S/N took.
The program does record video and audio HDV M2T.
The problem is video doesn't display or play back on the monitor component @ 16:9 or 720 p. 4:3....
The scopes respond as do the audio components when recording. (with a blank monitor component).
The video does play back on my system no problem.
Any ideas?

Need to Download Premiere Pro CS3 (CD won't install)

Hi there,
My laptop's HDD recently crashed, and when I went to reinstall the Premiere Pro CS3 cd, I get to the screen where install progess is shown (after I've entered my S/N). The installer seems to hang on 'instaling 3rd party content' and takes FOREVER for the green bar to 'move'. Then, after hours of letting it sit, I get a window that says install has failed... pretty sure that it said 3rd party content DID install, but PP itself and something else did not. I tried twice, with the same result.
The CD is clean, no real scratches... just been sitting in its case for years.
FWIW, I'm running Vista 32bit.
I'm hoping there's some CS3 files still hidden on Adobe.com that I can DL in place of the CD.
Don't really edit from home much anymore. Just need my copy of PP to work so I can recut my resume reel, which is a fairly important task.

Thanks for that link. Got it downloaded.
It appears that something is wrong with my laptop... because the downloaded file stalls at the same point as the disc. While it still says "Installing Shared components". This is when the green progress bars stop(about 10% of the way) and the HDD activiity light on the laptop stops as well.
Back when I reinstalled windows, I had some issues updating. Once I got to a certain point, one of the updates would render my laptop screen completely blank.... so after reinstalling a few times, I stopped installing updates at a certain point... though I did make it to Service Pack 2.
That's the only reason I can think of, as to why the program won't install. It's really odd.
BTW: I did shut down the antivirus while attemptinng Premiere install.

Need to re-download Contribute CS3

I have Contribute CS3 installed on an old computer that is no longer connected to the internet. I still have one client using this software and I need to connect using Contribute to help her with the issue. When I look at my account it does not include the older software such as this. I need to download, install and register it so I can assist my client. I have the CS3 Contribute serial number.
I have also noticed that now that I am in the CC subscription I appear to be logged out of my other older Adobe products.

Need to activate Adobe Photoshop CS3 again but it won't work

Hello happy Photoshoppers,
I've been using Photoshop for a while now and never felt the urge to upgrade to a newer version. So I'm still using CS3 (Extended Edition), which i bought back in 2006 or so. Since then it's been working perfectly.
Last week it prompted me to activate my copy of the program again, which wouldn't work eventually; I entered my serial number but the connection can't be established, which I find weird since I can access the internet without any issues. I also tried to deactivate my firewall (Avast + Malwarebytes), no success either. Tried it on another PC, nothing.
I'm using Windows 8.1 (on both PCs) with the most up to date hardware drivers and flash and stuff.
Please help me :-) Thanks for any ideas in advance.

HT1420 i need to de-authorise a computer for itunes but the computer is no longer working and the other computers which have be authorised have also been thrown away. How can I manage this problem?

i have previously had computers authorised for itunes but all have been thrown away or are now so broken that they do not even turn on! Please can someone tell me how I can de-authourise them and authorise at least 1 new computer? I have lost alot of music etc from CD's but I'd at least like to be able to get back what I bought from itunes.

Need Plug-in for PS CS3 Kodak PhotoCD

I have tons of scans saved to Kodak CD's, which at the time I thought was a good archiving system... I upgraded, via download, to Photoshop CS3, so I didn't recieve the DVD... after an exhaustive search and an even more exhausting phone call with Adobe, I am asking if anyone has this... Adobe claims not to have it and the best way for me to find it is to post on the Forum to see if anyone can send it to me.

You can find the PhotoCD plug-in on the Photoshop CS3 DVD (Goodies/Optional Plug-Ins/Kodak PhotoCD. The ReadMe included in the DVD mentions where to copy the PhotoCD plug-ins and the color profiles.

I assume that there's a way to do this in DW, but I can't
seem to find a good tutorial on it. Now I'm working on all pages on
my iMac, previewing in the browser to check, and then pushing them

push the site in one (or just fewer) moves.
Also, I'd like for another user to be able to develop and
hopefully publish to the test environment before pushing to prod.
Is there a way to organize and control things so our files stay
somewhat in sync?

Need to Uninstall CS, CS2, CS3, CS4 - Uninstall Tool Missing

We've been with Adobe for a long time.
We're upgrading computers and Mac OS on all to Mavericks.
Would like to clean up in the process.
Would like to thoroughly UNINSTALL all CS, CS2, CS3, and CS4 products on all computers.
We are currently using CS5. And, after installing Mavericks, will install CS6 Design Standard.
Most threads point to using the UNINSTALL TOOL ... but no one seems to have a link to where to get it?
It is not in the folders that everyone says it should be. I do not have it.
I hesitate to just DRAG the folders to the trash. I'd prefer a tool that will UNINSTALL proper plists, etc. ... not just trash the AP folder.
Anyone?

1. In my Adobe Installers folder, there are only alias' folders for "Add or Remove Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium", for "Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium", for "Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium" and for "Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit 2.1". When I "Show Original" and go there and try to OPEN the folder to run the uninstaller ... nothing opens. When I search for "Adobe Uninstaller", nothing is found.
2. I have downloaded and run the Cleaner Tool for CS3 and 4 ... but it was very very fast (didn't see a progress bar while it was working as expected) and CS3 and 4 are still in my applications folder. There was a message on one of them something about "support file missing".
So, this doesn't seem to have worked ... again.
In our office, we used to "trickle down" computers. The person with the oldest computer gets the new on and his goes to someone else. The problem with this has been that the person giving away the computer has been required to "clean it up" before passing it on and people haven't known HOW to do this. Thus, the missing uninstallers, etc.
So ... I want to delete (thoroughly) CS, CS2, CS3 and CS4, including Bridge, Device Central, Extension Manager, Drive, Fireworks, Flash, Media Encoder, Stock Photos, Version Cue, SupportAdvisor ap.
Can I simply "drag to trash"? I suspect not. But unistallers don't seem to be present and cleaner tool doesn't seem to work.
Are the instructions for "manual" removal of all files?

Need to Detach Template in CS3

I have several pages created from a template that seems to have gone bad. I am unable to open those
pages in CS3. I get a message that Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 is not responding. The pages are pretty
static now, so I can live without the template. But I can't do any updates if I can't open the pages.
I can access the HTML at the server, so if someone can tell me what to delete, I thought that I could make the changes
there and then download those changed pages to my local PC. I hope this makes sense.
Appreciate any help you can give me as I am really stuck.

That's not a Template driven page. There are no editable regions anywhere on that page. Soooo.... you have other problems.
In looking at your code, I see you have a FaceBook badge. This is a known problem lately.

Like I said before, Open Dreamweaver. Turn off Display External Files from the View menu.
Or, open your problem pages in your favorite plain text editor. Remove the FB Badge code entirely or comment it out like so:

After that, you should be able to work with pages in DW.

Need help re-installing Dreamweaver CS3

My computer was restored to an earlier point, and it basically deleted all of the downloaded software and kept all my files & folders. When I go to re-install Dreamweaver CS3 back onto my computer, it does not work. It says it was installed, but it's no where on my computer. Dreamwever CS3 was installed fine before my computer restored itself.
How do I get Dreamweaver CS3 back on my computer. I still have my serial number.

try running CSClear script to remove any registry or file . Then try re-installation.
