When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. -

If you're in the US and have an account in the US iTunes Store, then go here and check the region:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPad, and sign into your account again.
If you are in Colombia, then you cannot use the US iTunes Store, and you can't use a US credit card in the Colombian iTunes Store.

Move to Australia, get an Australian credit card with an Australian billing address then change your iTunes address to your physical address in Australia.

I have a Canon MX860 printer and want to print using my IPad. Do I need to download an App ? AirPrint lists printers which are compatable but the MX860 is not on the list. Will it still work or do I need a different App ? Thanks Sarah
Canon says that your printer is too basic to have AirPrint.

Hi. I need to download an app to annotate (using a bamboo pen) straight onto sheet music for choir. I require fast page turning and for the music to be alphabetically organised.

I have been a windows user for years and this is really my first mac but apart from the hole software issue i find the mac 10x better than any windows computer i have ever used. For example i bought a HP laptop 4 weeks ago and has nothing but problems. At first the fans stopped working and making weird noises and then it began switching off when ever it felt like it and freezing like mad when i was trying to access the smallest program. I have found that now a days you dont get what you pay for with Windows especially since Windows 8 was released. Also Laptops such as HP now are just crammed with cheap parts, they dont take pride in their systems like they once used to unlike Apple. I know i will get more than a year or 2 out my mac (hopefully a lot more) but with windows systems it just seems to break all the time costing more money on extending warrantys. Also i like mac because i dont need to send it away if i ever get a problem, i can just take it into the apple shop half a mile down the road and they will fix it in store. Where as with windows i am waiting 2 weeks+ to just hear back from them. -

maybe if you sync both with gmail's calender and of cause if you do it by syncing both by computer

I can´t download the apps from the pc to the ipad. This problem appeared some time ago, not from the very beginning. When I connect the ipad to the pc it shows as if everything is ok, but when I disconnect it, the apps are not downloaded
Ok, well I went to do what you just said, and there was no need to do so. I already had both devices ON. They should have communicated with each other up to this point. That being said, I will go into the store like you recommended and have them sync it and pose more questions to them. I better write them down too! Thanks!

You could try deleting and then re-downloading the app via the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if it then works (re-downloading).
And/or you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
