Do I need to download the additional content of Logic Pro X every time I install it on each of my computers?

...if that works and Logic Pro X recognises that it's been installed at startup, then clearly you can just download it the one time and manually install it on each computer. Unfortunately the App Store doesn't appear to provide a way to export and subsequently authorise installation archives for downloaded applications, though, so you'll still have to download the 600-odd-MB core of Logic via the App Store on each machine.

Can't install some parts of the additional content in Logic Pro X

Hi,
I've tried to install the Piano path and the Stereo Drum Kits from the additional content for more than a few times now without any luck. Every time the download is completed and the installation process begins I get an error message after a short time saying: "Logic Pro X was not able to complete the download". Note that this is after the download is completed. All the other downloads I've made from the additional content works great and I've got lots of space on the hard drive. What do you guys think I should do? Starting over with the download again and again doesn't seem to do the job.

Can't download additional content in logic pro 9

I just recently purchased logic pro 9 and wanted to use the indie live kit. i found out that the indie live kit was missing and that all i needed to do was to download the additional content in logic. when i clicked download everything would download but at the end it would say failed to complete download. all i want is the indie live kit so if anyone knows how to do this it would be a big help:)

What version of Logic Pro 9 are you running? I ask because the latest version 9.1.8, has a fix for one version of this issue... that affected some people.. but not all by a long way.
Other than that possibility.. there is another reason found, that can cause this..
Quite a few of these problems with downloading the additional content (once Apple fixed another issue relating to this in 9.1.8 ) have been found to be caused by the user's ISP limiting the max size of any given single file being downloaded.... causing the Download file to 'timeout' or 'end' before downloading was complete. BT in the UK.... and Comcast, Time Warner and Verizon FIOS in the USA have all be reported as placing this limitation on some users accounts.. (and there are probably more ISPs that do this.. to apparently "prevent large download abuse.. " (whatever that might mean??)) and a call to them, asking for the max limit to be raised to at least 8GB has resolved this issue for everyone who has tried,...
Note: It did take a couple of Users... several tries to get through to the 'right' knowledgable support person, to get this issue fixed... normally only after their issue was raised with a Tier 2 tech... as the Tier 1 techs didn't know about the limits imposed on certain users and certain accounts..

Im a Logic Pro X new user and Im having trouble once I download the additional content. I dont know how to use it. Is used as a plug in or what? Anyone who can help me I will be very greatful

Although I can download the additional content im not able to use it as i dont know if this should appear as a new plug in or an audio unit.

The additional content relates to the stuff that is already included with Logic. So, for example, when you download extra kits for Drummer, they go into the folder that has the So-Cal kit and the other kit that downloads when you do the intial install of Logic.
Same with Bass instruments, Guitar instruments, Orchestral stuff. If you had a look at what came with Logic in the initial install, and then looked in those same places afterwards, there's a whole bunch more stuff in there.

How to download additional content for Logic Pro 9

Hey everyone,
I have just purchased Logic Pro 9 and I was downloading all of the Jam Packs available. However, I downloaded most of the Jam Packs until I was forced to restart my computer. Now, I have three Jam Packs left that have not downloaded and I was wondering how do I get back to the screen that tells me which ones I have yet to download? I have searched through the application and have yet to find it. Can someone please help me out?

The download was actually the successful part! I had no issues with it timing out or anything. My problem was the actual install, after the download was complete. The installer just stopped about a quarter of the way up on "Alternative Kits" and never made it to any of the other kits. I think I'll try installing them one at a time like you said, and see what happens. Hopefully it works!

Open the iTunes application, go to the upper left to About iTunes and see what version it says you are running.
Did you actually run an updater?
Use Spotlight to see if you have multiple copies of the iTunes Application on your computer.

Can you uninstall additional contents in Logic Pro X?

Hi all
I have just purchased Logic Pro X and after the installation, it asked me if I want to download any additional contents which total is close to 40GB.
I was wondering since that's a lot of space, would I be able to uninstall the sounds later if I don't like them?

Not able to download all Audio Contents from Logic Pro 9

Hi!
I want to download the sound libraries that come with Logic Pro 9 (I know I am a little bit late). The most Jam Packs are already downloaded and installed but I have problems with downloading of one of the packages, the additional Sounds for Logic and Mainstage. The download interrupts when it has already loaded 1,7GB (see pictures below).
How can I download the package? The most Instruments are not working without it...

If you have another Mac, open the App Store, log in with your Apple ID, go to Purchases and download Logic Pro X. Then, copy it to an external drive (it's saved in /Applications). Finally, copy Logic from the external drive to the Applications folder of your Mac desktop

Looks like you are forced to download the 36GB of content locally - is there any way to point to to another drive?
If not, after downloading locally, can you move it to another drive and will Logic X still see it?

It shouldn't be necessary to reboot the computer to complete an update.<br />
If a reboot is needed then that usually means that some (security) software is blocking files or you need elevated (UAC) permissions.<br />
Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).<br />
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

I've already downloaded the latest version to my notebook but every time I try updating my ipad2 in iTunes I keep getting error message that it can't be completed.

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
