I have to hit my home button a half dozen times to make it work. I've tried to reset the phone and update the sorfware. Is this a hardware problem? Where do I go to get it fixed?

I have not used Internet explorer since downloading firefox and I need IE for a trading platform that I need to use. In order to get IE working I apparently need to down load the latest version of Yahoo toolbar, however when I try to down load the tool bar Firefox will not allow the down load of that file.

How can I uninstal my mobileme account and install my icloud address? Mobile me doesn't recognise my Apple ID....won't allow me to open icloud on my MacBook. keep getting a message saying I need to enter another name or pin......nothing works........I've probably blocked it as server keeps saying try later.......
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mountain Lion, provided it meets the requirements.

How do I access my home wi-fi from my ipad?
Hi, I'm trying to use my home wi-fi on my ipad, but can't work out how to do it. I have tried choosing my home network, which has a password, but it says that it's incorrect (but it's not). I have tried 'Network' in the General settings, but it won't let me change the 'Network' from the mobile provider I have been using.
Any suggestions??
Thanks JillTry setting up a new home network with a new password. If you are using Mac OS X go to System Preferences/Network and hit the plus sign at the bottom of the left-hand panel.

My iphone 3gs will not connect to itunes and it says that I need to do a system restore. It also says that I need to enter my password on the iphone to connect to itunes but I can not do this because the phone is in emergency phone call mode only.
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo. -
Hi, i am trying to setup back to my mac at home but I get the error "Back to my Mac isn't working properly because your DNS server isn't responding. Contact your ISP for an alternate DNS server address, and enter it in Network Preferences".
There is no documentation on how to solve this anywhere.
I have an Arris router set to bridged mode which is connected to a 5th generation airport extreme. I have tried using the google dns servers instead of the one assigned by the cable company in the AE but I still get the same error.
Any help would be much appreciated
KennethNew to BTMM, I got stung today with the silly DNS problem message. Solution:
1) Flush DNS cache with:
dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
2)System preferences > iCloud > untick BTMM then tick it again. The warning should have disappeared.

Hi everyone!
I'm getting this error when trying to copy files over to a network drive. First, it'll pop up and say:
"You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named"
At the same time, it will create an empty file on the target drive. When I click "Continue", it asks me for my username and password, which I happily enter. At that point, it errors out and says "The operation cannot be completed because an item with the name "xyz" already exists".
I've tried repairing permissions, chmod 777'ing a file, etc. It did work for a short time (it seemed to work while I was at work, but once I arrived home, it quit working and hasn't worked since.) I've tried rebooting as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm really puzzled over this!

I am copying a text file made from textedit. I have logged into the shared drive on my iMac. I get the same errors coying to my own user folder. Same account on both machines.
But it does copy a blank version of the file to the drive and adds the .txt extension to it. Then I can delete it from the share. -
Im having massive issues with my email... I cant receive emails for my work email... was working perfectly and now just wont connect, i assume that I need to use my home wifi as the outgoing server?? Please help
For your work email, do you use a well known server or do you use their own server? Their server IMAP and SMTP addresses might of changed or you entered them in wrong. It might be something with your router but unless you blocked every incoming connection, then it should work. I would talk to your tech guys at work to see if it is on their end.

my iPad is frozen.. it won't shut off.. i can't do a forced restart by holding the sleep/wake and home button.... it doesn't respond to that either.. i can't connect it to iTunes because it needs passcode entered but again the iPad is frozen so i can't input the passcode… I also can't do recovery mode as the ipad won't shut down for me to do a recovery mode.... I use Hotmail on my iPad. Yesterday I changed my password on the account using my home PC. Now the ipad requests the new password but when I enter it I get Password Incorrct and it asks to enter it again. The sticky part is that no matter what app I bring up including settings, the password request pop up appears and the app cant' be used
I was going to say either that or to remove the email from your email account settings(on ipad) and put it back on. Happens everytime im forced to change my work email password. I need to delete the account and add it again for it to accept the new password.
