Do I need to get authorization from the software owner?

I am using Captivate to do a software simulation. Do I have to get authorization from the software owner for sale my simulation of his software? Is the screencapture are copyrighted?

I'm actually trying to find out about using screenshots of Adobe software. I've done some Premiere Pro tutorials and I'd like to monetize them on YouTube but their conditions state "You can monetize videos showing software user interface only if you have a contract with the publisher or you have paid a licensing fee".
I'm hoping that Adobe's Permissions and trademark guidelines (http://www.adobe.com/misc/permissions.html) would be enough but there's a problem there too. Adobe's conditions state "Your use must contain the entire screenshot. You may not use portions of the screenshots". That's hopelessly restrictive - obviously I want to be able to zoom in and show closeups of the interface. There's a form to apply for special permission (http://www.adobe.com/misc/pdfs/PermissionRequestForm.pdf) but it's not practical (e.g. every single usage must be renewed annually). I can't believe that all those tutorial producers on YouTube are jumping through these hoops to get the right permissions.
So what is everyone doing? Just ignoring the whole permission thing and hoping for the best?

Help needed in getting values from the dynamically created text boxes

Hello,
I am developing one jsp page using struts. In the page i m
dynamically adding some rows with two text boxes in each row. and after entering data into
those textboxes , user clicks on save button and page is submitted.
I want to capture all this data of dynamically added
rows so that i can enter those rows into DB.
how can i acheive this using struts?.
Have anyone had tried doing it?. Please help.

Hi,
1. If you give these textBoxes the same name, then in your action you can call request.getParameterValues(paramName) - it returns String[ ] of values.
2. You can give form textBox names like "name"+index or something like this in <logic:iterate> tag

Two statements, get results from the first statement?

Ok maybe I made it sound a little harder than it is, but this is what I am trying to do. I have a result set from from a database call when I pass in the username and password . In the 1st call I get the Users info: User_ID, first_name, lastname, etc...
But I either need to get info from the first statement, and pass it to the 2nd statement or just do two statement calls calling the same info and passing it to my user object? I dont know which if any is faster, or better. The only thing I need from the first statement is the user_id. In the 2nd statement I need the user_id to find out the user permissions.
Here is the original code when It was getting the user info and permissions from the same table. try

Thanks DrClap I started on the the query and I did it a little differently, but it should hopefull do the same thing. my tables are constructed as so:

My Select looks something like this

This is where I come to a crossroads, Can I add on another AND to say "WHERE a.USER_ID = b.USER_ID

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

(when I click on the Sync option I get the warning: "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library." I fear that if I click this I will lose all of my important Voice Memos as well)

Just to add to what ChrisJ4203 said. You can sync them to your new computer using iTunes by selecting to Include Voice Memos on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. However, you still need to re-establish syncing with the new computer without iTunes erasing all the iTunes media from your phone (as the warning mentioned).
If you copy your entire iTunes folder (not just your music) from your old computer to your new one, along with other non-iTunes media you may be syncing with iTunes (such as contacts, calendars and any photos synced to your phone from your old computer) by using migration assistant of following one of these methods: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527, then when you sync again with your new computer it will recognize your phone and sync as it did before. You will still have to authorize the new computer for any Apple IDs used to purchase from the iTunes and App stores (in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer).
After that you can sync your voice memos to your computer as mentioned earlier.
If you want to archive your voice memos before you do anything with iTunes, you can use a 3rd party program such as PhoneView or Touch Copy.

Downloaded from where? There is no serial number if you downloaded from the App Store.
if you downloaded from the Apple Site and Aperture is installed you can get the serial number from the Preferences pane of Aperture. If it is not installed and you don't have the email sent to you with the serial number you can try Pro Application Replacement Serial Numbers
