  • Do we need to have Robo Server to enable commenting?

    I am sorting out the requirements re RoboAIR help. If we wish to have folks inside our firewall be able to enter comments, do we need to have RoboHelp server inplace? The help systems I am converting to Robo assist call center CSRs. A VP is looking for feedback and comments from those CSRs to help improve the quality of the help system.  Has anyone implemented comments in an  AIR help system? If so, it would be great for you to share your process!

    Commenting is only available with locally installed AIR help, not the browser based version.
    I believer there is a thread that covers setting up commenting with locally installed AIR help.

  • Connecting to Exchange Server 2013 using IMAP command gives authenication error

    Hello All,
    My application (it is a C# code) connects to Microsoft exchange server 2013 using POP3 and IMAP, processes the emails, marks as read and move to particular folder if it is processed successfully else to an different folder.  In this sometimes,
    I am getting authentication failed error from IMAP however same mail is processed when it is executed next time. Few times it is processed with out error. I am not sure what is causing this issue.We are connecting to IMAP using tcpIMAP command.
    This is the same application which we used with exchange server 2010 now we are upgrading to exchange server 2013. I have verified that the setting of exchange 2010 and 2013 are the same.
    To verify the IMAP command I created a sample application using C# which will try to connect to IMAP service and log in to exchange server 2013; it fails to authenticate the user after connecting for few times and then it starts to authenticate
    successfully then again fails for few times and then authenticates. I am not sure why this is happening.
    Please suggest how can I resolve this.
    Thank you, Santha

    Since I've upgraded to Snow Leopard I've also moved from Entourage 2008 to Mail, iCal & Addressbook with the new Exchange support.
    My company exchange server is Exchange 2007.
    Mail works fine except the occasional Mail crash.
    iCal worked fine the first two days and then it came with an error the it cannot connect to the Exchange server and asks me to type my email address again. Doesn't work so I need to put my exchange calendar in iCal in offline. But now there is no syncing with the Echange server.
    This only occurs when I add a meeting request in iCal.
    My Exchange administrator has reset my mailbox on the Exchange server.
    This helped for about 4 hours. Now it's the same problem.
    I have a feeling the when you setup your exchange account in Mail it uses different settings for Mail and iCal with the autoconfig.
    Anybody has a solution? My Exchange admin cannot find any problems on his side. Do I need to make changes on my iCal client or do we need to wait for OS 10.6.1 ?

    Hi,
    Most (if not all) of the bigger vendors has a product that supports Exchange 2013, so look them up.
    Exchange 2013 has some Anti-Spam and Anti-Malware Protection functionality that you can read about here:

  • Need information about Exchange server 2013 CU5

    Hello,
    Can anyone implemented Exchange Server 2013 CU5. I need feedback about this patch. Basically i will going to deploy this patch after getting best feedback.
    I'm waiting for your feedback.
    Thanks,
    Parvez

    Hello,
    Since the Exchange Server 2013 CU5 just be released, there is no detailed technet article or exchange team blog to verify some issues during installation. But I see a MCC who update a member in a DAG, there is no problem. If there are some issues, you
    can check the setup logs or event logs.
    Based on my known, if your environment meets exchange server 2013 prerequisites, and you follow the exchange server 2013 installation process, there should be problem.
    I recommend you deploy the patch on test environment firstly, and then apply it on production environment.

  • Switched carriers and now i don't have exchange server calendar items - does anyone know how to retrieve them

    recently transfered from AT&T to Verizon iphone 4s and when I did the syn everything came over to new device except exchange calendar items.  Any idea how to get them synced.  I 've lost them from the computer as well.

    This has nothing to do with switching carriers and the syncing of calendar events over the air with an Exchange server has nothing to do with the iTunes sync process.
    On the iPhone go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Select the Exchange account.
    Is Calendars turned on for over the air syncing?

    No problem. Check if you have SQL management studio installed on the computer and open it up,to see what db are in there.

  • Implementing HA for On-Premise Exchange Server 2013 using Azure

    Your answer is incorrect for my question. The link you gave is for a implementation of 2 datacenters using Azure as the wittness server, and that is not possible because you can make only 1 site-to-site VPN connection to Azure and having 2 datacenters you
    would need 2 of them.
    But my scenario is different, I have 1 datacenter and I want to use Azure as my 2nd datacenter for Exchange and for my witness server. I suppose that using the only 1 site-to site VPN that Azure provides is enough for that situation, but, the question is....
    Is there any issue with that scenario? Did anyone try it?
    Thanks

  • How to detect exchange server version using EWS API?

    Hello there,
    I am new to this EWS area and I am looking for a way to detect exchange server version information whether user mailbox is exchange 2007 or 2010 or 2013 etc. Apologize if we already have such question posted earlier, I am posting it here as I could now find
    any such forum.
    1. Is it possible to fetch this information using EWS API? I am using EWS 2.0 libraries for now.
    2. If yes, how can i get that information? can you please provide some sample?
    Thanks in advance.
    sureshh...

    1. On 2010 and above you can use Autodiscover to get the EWS Schema version this is most accurate method to use. It's import to understand the EWS Schema version vs just the Server there is a good write up in
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn741586%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx . Some EWS Managed API code to get the server version would look like
    AutodiscoverService adAutoDiscoverService = new AutodiscoverService();
    adAutoDiscoverService.Credentials = ncCred;
    adAutoDiscoverService.EnableScpLookup = true;
    adAutoDiscoverService.RedirectionUrlValidationCallback = adAutoDiscoCallBack;
    adAutoDiscoverService.PreAuthenticate = true;
    adAutoDiscoverService.TraceEnabled = true;
    adAutoDiscoverService.KeepAlive = false;
    GetUserSettingsResponse adResponse = adAutoDiscoverService.GetUserSettings("[email protected]", (new UserSettingName[1] { UserSettingName.EwsSupportedSchemas }));
    This won't work on 2007 but the other method you can use is if you set the version to 2007_SP1 and make a call like binding to the Inbox folder and then check the result in ServerInfo http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.exchange.webservices.data.exchangeservicebase.serverinfo(v=exchg.80).aspx
    . (Note if your are going to use ServerInfo you do need to make a request like a FolderBind ).
    Cheers
    Glen

  • Entourage, iCal, Exchange Server, public and private calendar items, PDA

    Hello all.
    I'm a recent escapee from Windows to MacOS, and I need your help to complete my switchover. I've got a complex calendaring situation I'd like to solve.
    I have a new Mac at work and one at home. At work I need to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server public calendar so I can set up appointments with others and they can see my calendar. But, I don't want private appointments to show up to others on the public exchange server calendar. In my calendaring app I do want to see one unified calendar on my machine at work and at home with both public and private appointments.
    Also I want to get a PDA that will deal with both public and private appointments, and synchronize appropriately to both work and home calendaring apps. This should also show one unified calendar with all appointments.
    Is there a right combo of software and PDA to accomplish this? My investigation so far points to Entourage at work (to work properly with Exchange Server), iCal or Entourage at home, and a PalmOS-based PDA. But I am unclear how the public-private stuff would work.
    The final part of this once I figure out the right software and PDA combo, is to import all my calendar stuff, emails and contacts from Microsoft Outlook on my Windows box to my Mac at home. I think Outlook2Mac does this but I'm not sure which calendaring apps it works with.
    Please let me know your thoughts. I'm an experienced Windows user brand new to MacOS so please keep that if you answer.

  • Calendar will not sync with Exchange server or most Google Calendars

    Hi,
    I am writing about my wife's brand new Samsung Charge on Verizon. We managed to setup both her gmail account and her work exchange server account fine, except for the calendars:
    Her Google calendar shows up fine, but I am unable to even see any other Google calendars that she has access to (both her own secondary calendars as well as calendars that others have shared with her) in order to select them to be visible.
    Her exchange calendar says it is enabled (on the list of available calendars), but no events at all show up.
    This behavior is with the latest software updates on the Charge (2.2.1 firmware, I510.EE4 build) using its stock calendar software. I did notice that if I use Smooth Calendar, it does list all of her Google calendars under its listing of available calendars, but it still only shows data from her primary calendar. This is also true using the Touch Calendar app, which leads me to believe that there is some problem within the Google Calendar sync software that is not allowing her calendars to appear correctly.
    Thanks!

    Hello whereizben,
    I see you have posted same post in another thread.  I have already replied to that posting with a solution.  Please see the following link for my reply:

  • Exchange server down; restore contacts\calendar from iphone

    Hello community,
    i ran into a problem when helping a friend out trying to migrate his contacts\calendar entries from iphone3 to his new iphone5. We first used iTunes to back up his old iphone's data and then restored this data to the new iphone. However, his calendar entries were completely missing as were most of his contacts (not all of them). I then synced the calendar\contacts to Outlook, but got the same result: the calendar was totally empty, and most of his contacts too (however, the synchronisation process mentioned something about Exchange).
    My friend is not very savyy when it comes to technical stuff and had his iPhone set up by a collegue a couple of years ago and didn't know anything about its configuration.
    As i figured out the phone was indeed configured to save its calendar\contacts on an Exchange server hosted by an external company. I confirmed that when creating a new calendar entry, the phone was set to save the entry in a calendar hosted on the Exchange server. (The same thing with new contacts)
    However, the problem is the Exchange server is down for a couple of years now as the external company no longer exists. Think my friend must have "clicked away" a notification about this once as i used the old phone for several hours figuring out the settings and NEVER got any notification about the phone not being able to access the Exchange server.
    I searched the internet how to migrate Exchange calendar\entrys to a new phone, but all tutorials i found are based on scenarios where the Exchange server is still accessible. Does anybody know any way or 3rd party tool (the ones i tried only gave me the same result as the iTunes\Outlook approach) to retrieve the entries from the iPhone ?? Right know, i told my friend that his calendar is probably gone for good, and the he can add any missing contacts by sending the contact via Email from his old phone and then import the vcf file on his new phone (but as he has several hundred entries, this would be a very cumbersome approach).

  • Can Exchange activesync be used for calendar and contacts without BES?

    I thought it could- just got a Z10 and am having trouble syncing with a cloud service that uses EAS Tech support just told me that I have to be on BES for that? Wasn't what I thought. Knowledge base article KB34208 "Sync time frame for calendar events when using a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync connection " Says nothing about BES in the Environment section? http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB34208&sliceId=2&cmd=displayKC&d... Hoping guy was wrong- I really need to be able to get my desktop info onto phone and this is convoluted enough- syncing to cloud and then to phone but want to keep the phone (4th BB and a PB). Help please.

    you dont need BES10. you can do EAS directly from the device to the Exchange Server.
