I need to install Oracle developer suite 6.0 & Oracle Developer suite 10g on the same computer.
I have planned to install both on separate homes.
My question is that "Do I need to install forms 6.0 & reports 6.0 on separate homes?".

no, it is not necessary to Install Forms6i and Reports6i in a different Oracle Home.

I have Windows2000 on my machine. I have Installed Oracle9i for Windows2000. I am looking to Install forms and Reports, but could not find the product for Windows2000. Please let me know - which product I need to install for Forms & reports for Windows2000 & Oracle 9i/8i personal editions.

I have Installed Forms 6i. During the installation startup, it has asked me for oracle home. Installation didn't accept oracle9i home. I have given another name - forms6i and changed the directory for the forms to install. Installation has given me some dialogues like "some of the files may be installed and cannot be removed later because they will affect your operating system".
I went ahead and installed. It had installed forms6i. When I am trying to connect using userid/password@connectstring, it is giving me error saying "TNS could not resolve connect string".
Please let me know - what I can do now. Shall I have to work with TNSnames file? - which Oracle home should I use - Database's or form's?

Problem with installing Forms 11g on clients

I have successfuly installed weblogic server and Oracle Forms 11g on a server and everything works fine. I need to install Forms 11g on different clients for developers. My question is that do i need to install Weblogic on every single client or i can use the one that i have installed on my server. If i can use the one that i have installed, please explain how i can do this because i have tried a lot and the installer does not go to next page after asking for email address.

If you just need it for one site you can use the portable version of Firefox 2 instead. You can install the portable version on a USB key, or if one is not available choose the custom install and install it somewhere on your hard drive. The portable version will not interfere with your current version of Firefox. The answer from a software licensing perspective depends on the licening model you are on. If Unified Workspace Licensing (UWL), then you already have license entitlement to CUP under the Business Edition of that licence program. If you are on a DLU or UCL-based license program, CUP is seperately licensed.
You will need s seperate MCS server.
Softphones again depend on your license schema. If UWL, each user is entitled to one softphone. DLU and UCL each charge for softphone usage seperately.

Forms 11 install with Jdeveloper installed need weblogic install?

I'm trying to install forms11 and have the lastest version of jdeveloper installed that has a weblogic server. Do i still need to install weblogic server before installing forms11?

I first installed the latest version of JDeveloper allowing it to install in all the default locations. This installed to c:\oracle\middleware. I then installed forms 11 into the middleware directory. I went with most of the default values on the install, this is the configuration I ended up with for forms. When I was installing forms at one point it said "Setup Complete" and my pc seemed to hang for about 15 minutes before it started the configuration section.

Are you talking about a Forms patch or the JInitiator patch ? Do a search for JInitiator and P4 and find your way to www.sun.com for the JRE patch you need for P4's. Or get Forms 9i.

Problem in Installing Forms 6i in Oracle 8

I am a home user and at the moment studying for OCP Oracle Forms Developer Rel. 6/6i and I really need some good help.
I have some problem in the Installing the Orcale Forms 6i, I have already installed WinNT4 (Server) and Oracle 8.
SO far I have tried to Install Forms 6i four times but I failed. Due to this reason every time I had to also Uninstall the Oracle 8
from my system, because it started to give problems.
OK THIS IS THE PROBLEM :
When I installed Oracle 8, the user name was <system> and the password was <manager> in the SQL Plus. I used it for few times and worked fine. But when I installed the Oracle Developer 6i the SQL Plus didn't accepted the same user name and the password. I tried many commands that I could find in the Oracle documentations (On the CD) but so far nothing.
Need some command or any thing to over write the system so I can change the user name and password.
Plus when I use turn on my computer and run WINNT 4 (server) I get message that I have some problem in Oracle80.exe file and due to that my system hangs for couple of minutes.
I also want the sample tables, but I don't know the particular command for SQL *PL by which I can get the sample tables.
Please help me by suggesting what shall I do.

4) If you manually created the entry, save and close the tnsnames.ora file.

Oracle 10g Developer Site is installed on windows XP.
I have upgraded form & reports form earlier version 6.0..
Now I need to install Oracle Application Server on windows 2003 (x86) 32 bit.
I never done this b4.
My question is that ,
what are the components I need to install on my apps server to run Forms & Reports?
I am installing apps server on one machine.
But when I read documentation they said its better to install on two machine.

Yes,
I'm sorry to tell you but for forms and reports (BI) you need to install almost everything, you need to install an infrastructure as first components, and then a midtier for AS with Business Intelligence option, in this second component you can chose to install Reports, forms, OCJ4, Portal, any other component you need or you thik you will need in the future.
You can install both in one Server if you don't have resources for 2 or 3 thinking on load balance. It works fine for me in one server but my operation is not too big.

What drivers do i need to install on my Lenovo Y530 after installing Windows 7???

I just installed Windows 7 on my new Lenovo Y530 and want to know what drivers need to be installed. A few problems is the surround sound speakers, the laptop had amazing sound before i put 7 on it and now the speakers aren't working together.
Also the Veriface login isnt working, does anyone know how to connect it properly??

You're using the MS .NET Framework Provider for Oracle. You will need to install the Oracle client on each client machine using a Windows Form to access Oracle.
You will also need to include the MS .NET Framework Provider for Oracle. I can't remember if MS includes it with .NET Framework or not, however.
