Do I need to pay for my iPhone 5c replacement?

Since December, I had purchased my phone. Flash forward a month later. My phone has been experiencing some weird pop like noises from my screen. This can be heard when you press the screen on the left side with a bit of pressure. I decided to wait a while later to see if the screen would make a noise. Yet it still does. This problem doesn't damage my phone from the inside or anything. And last saturday I dropped my phone on the concrete and the back bark of it got cracks.
All this being said, is it possible I should get my phone replaced for a refurbished one? I hope I don't need to pay because my iPod had a similar problem with the screen because the side got busted out when it fell and the back got a crack and I didn't pay anything. I got it replaced for free. And I still have my repair & service warranty still.

Even if you had prior screen issues, the cracked screen is not covered and you will need to have it replaced and there will be a fee. Once you get it replaced, get a durable case and if you have issues take it in before others arise.

Make sure that your date and time settings and time zone are accurate (Settings - General - Date and Time). Reset your phone to 'Set Automatically' and then try signing in again - this worked for me.  My date/time settings were not automatic (candy crush cheats!!).

IS it risky to upgrade to the iOS5 , Because I have seen many post in form that many people faceing issue when they upgrade to the latest version
It isn't that risky. You may be reading hundreds of posts here about problems, but that is out of MILLIONS of iPhones that have been upgraded. Percentage-wise, that means most people have no problem.
However, as with any major change to your system, you should back up everything your iPhone first. Just right-click it in iTunes to get the backup menu. That will be your safe fallback position in case something goes wrong.
I still use an iPhone 3GS. That's older than your iPhone. But iOS 5 works fine on it.

  • Need to pay for iPhone 3.0 Update?

I have an iPod Touch and have purchased the 2.0 update some time ago.
I wish to know whether I will need to pay for the 3.0 update AGAIN?

I wish to know whether I will need to pay for the 3.0 update AGAIN?
Only if you want it. And you won't be buying the 3.0 update again, just the once is enough.
When you update the Operating System of your computer from one major version to another, you also have to pay. Same with software such as Microsoft Office, Photoshop etc. Minor updates are free, major updates you pay for if you want the features they offer.

PES 2012 is no longer available in the US App Store and only on the British App Store currently.

That (an app no longer available) happens sometimes.
Your only way is if you have the appt on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case move it to your iTunes library and sync.

  • I have ordered 2 Playbooks. Do I need to pay for 2 apps for the same one?

So will I need to pay for one app on one tablet and pay for the same app on the other tablet as the tablets are mine and my sons.  sorry I'm new to this.
    thanks in advance.

What are you talking about? It's a 3rd party App.  Apple is not going to include ANY 3rd party app on an iPhone. If you don't think you should have to pay for it, talk to the developer. I'm sure they'd love to know that you don't think you should pay them for their work.

  • When I am downloading a free application (foursquare) in the App Store, it came up with a message saying Verification Required which means I need to pay for it. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

I am currently using iPhone 3GS and when I am going to download foursquare which is a FREE application in the App Store, it came up with a message saying Verification Required which means I need to pay for it. Can anyone tell me how to solve the problem? For further informations, I am currently using Windows running Vista. Special thanks to those who replied.

Your iTunes account sounds like it does not have a credit card or payment attached to it. Even free apps require that you have entered payment information even though you won't be charged for the app.

  • HT204053 it need to pay for using icloud account?

If i have already icloud account on iphone 4s but i can not use for sending mail..so do i need to pay for this service?

The features of iCloud account are free, you only pay for any storage you need beyond the 5GB of free storage that comes with the account.  Are you having trouble sending iCloud email?

  • My lightning to usb charging wire is breaking, will apple replace it as it is general ware or do I need to pay for a new one?

My lightning to usb charging wire is breaking, will apple replace it as it is general ware or do I need to pay for a new one? The wire came with my Iphone 5 and I have had it since the release date.

I agree with you that Apple should cover it, and that if they're initially unwilling to, then a complaint should be raised.  However, the poster remarked that he went to an Apple store, Apple diagnosed the problem as being faulty RAM, and then the poster said that he has to pay $200 for "a new one" (new RAM, I presume).  No matter what you or I say on here, if the representative that the poster spoke to brought up a $200 charge, then what is he going to do?  "Some users on the internet told me it should be free, so I'm not going to pay that - just fix it for free"?
Or maybe I'm having trouble following what happened.  It seems to me that if the poster went to an Apple store and had a system that was within warranty, if Apple found a problem, they would replace it for free.  In that case, where did the poster get the number for the $200 charge, and why is it even necessary to ask if it's covered?  Either he encountered an Apple Genius who didn't handle the case properly, or there's more to the story that he's not revealing (water damage, or so on).

  • Apple pays for old iPhone

    hello
I would like to know if it is true that Apple is paying for old iphones? I mean, if I give back an iPhone I could get US$280 for my new iPhone?
    Thanks
    Jorge

Yes, the trade-in program was launched yesterday.
It is UP TO $280, depending on the condition of the phone and maybe other factors. You will need to go in and get a quote if you want a definite answer.

Users can obtain the iWorks and iLife applications free, if they purchased a Mac after the beginning of October 2013.
Older Mac purchases require a paid purchase of these applications.

As I wrote Apple will diagnose an Apple product even if it is out of warranty for free. That should be your first step to find out if the problem is the battery or something else.
Once you have Apple telling you a 7 month old battery is defective (if that turns out to be the case)  then it becomes a game of horse trading. You'll need to speak to the tech and when he tells you there is nothing he can do you will need to speak to the tech manager and when she says most likely there is nothing they can do you go to the store manager, etc.  It is unlikely (though possible) that they will give in easily you need to be firm, polite and let on that you're willing to accept a partial reimbursement.
So again the first step is to find out what is wrong.
    good luck

  • I need a calendar for my iPhone 4s which shows 'every 4th Saturday'or 'every 2nd Tuesday' which unlike the Android caledar, the Apple one doesn't have. I've looked at others on the App Store, none of which appear to have this particular ability. Any ideas

You can do this in iCloud calendars, actually. You just can't do it directly on the device. But, if you go to icloud.com & edit the calendar event, you can select "Custom" from the dropdown for Repeat & it will let you put in "every 4 wks on saturday" or even "every 28 days." But, again, you'd have to be using iCloud & you can only do this on the website.

I know a couple others that waited for two billing cycles but it will come back as a credit on that account.
