Do i need to Pay when Preordering online for pickup in apple store on Thurs
Ok well the subject pretty much asks my question. I wanna add a line to my verizon account but I wont be able to pay for the phone and deposit until Thursday. Does anyone know if I need to pay with a credit card when i select my preorder and setup for pickup at my local apple store? I know that when i preordered my ipad I set it up online for pickup at my local apple store, when i got to the store I paid and it was reserved for me. Was wondering if thats how this will be setup. I work nights also until 7AM so i cant just wait and see what happens and It will take me 30 min to get to a local verizon store one thursday morning coming from work. Thats why i ask this question. thank you
I reserved mine this morning, and got the confirmation email. At no time did it ask me for any payment info, and as of now there are no charges or holds placed on my card. I am assuming you simply pay for it at time of pickup; they don't charge you ahead of time, that way if you fail to pick it up by the time they close on the 10t; they can sell it to someone else the following day.

It's your choice. If you know that you will be away from wifi then you could download the music that you want to listen to so that it is available on your phone. If you do subscribe to Match and want to be able to access it via your carrier's network then you will also need to be an area where you get reception from your carrier.

My online purchase of new 21.5 IMac is scheduled for delivery to apple store for pickup tomorrow . I have purchased Apple one to one care. Do I need to schedule an appointment with apple genius on the day of pick up to bring in my old desk top computer to transfer and set up new IMac?
Usually I would think so.
Note, if your old Mac or any of your old applications are pre-2006, see this tip.

Sorry, didnt clarify, Verizon's site said it is included but Apple's (where I preordered) did not mention it.

Probably will never ever think of buying a locked phone from AT&T cause its one of the worst system integrations ever that these companies could think of.
The entire problem started when I put in a request with at&t to unlock my iphone 4s (ios7) which did get approved. I performed the entire instructions they asked me to do, which is to backup and restore. After doing those instructions my iphone gave me an error message below
The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
The SIM card that you currently installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.
Basically saying that at&t hasn't still unlocked the iphone which a really helpful apple executive was able to confirm. I initiated another unlock process from at&t in order to unlock the iphone, just to be sure that its not something wrong from my end. The nice at&t lady stayed on chat with me to unlock the iphone step my step while I was calling the apple tech too. And the apple tech confirmed again that the iphone is locked to at&t.
Now, just a few minutes ago I tried another restore to see if any progress is being made and to my surprise I got an error message saying
Replacement Needed. This iphone is not able to complete the activation process and needs to be replaced. Please visit your nearest apple store or authorized service center.
I feel like I am just going around these two different "money hogger" companies which set certain rules and regulations to screw a regular phone buyer. I purchased this iphone in USA and trying to unlock in India, is it really this hard to simply unlock a device.
For now I am going to try to call a apple office in india (apprently we don't have very many out here) and see if they can help me. But any other assistance regarding unlocking an iphone 4s would be helpful. I have however, tried checking IMEI.info, called up apple, talked to at&t (which always say go talk to apple) I do have a case number from apple as well in case an apple executive reads this discussion forum (case number: 566383594)

When that finished you clicked "Restore iPhone" (NOT "Restore Backup") - Yes
Are you with me so far? - Yes.
And @ Varjak is right that after the 3rd restore I get the replacement error.
Plus I have NEVER jailbroken the iPhone. To give you another update, I spoke to a really nice apple tech in India who was atleast able to get me out of the replacement error by doing a recovery mode option. However, the lastest restore still gives me the same error

Walk it into the nearest Apple Store there in Ireland, admit you purposely avoided buying it there, and ask them to help you sort it out. I'm sure they'll be happy to service your overseas purchase.....

I bought yesterday online an Iphone from apple store Canada (http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone/iphone4s) and there said that was Unlocked but on my email came a message " IPHONE 4S BLACK 16GB GSM- CAN". Does It means that this item is Unlocked?
Was shipped today, October 8, but I don't know if this "GSM-CAN" means taht is locked or unlocked!
I BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED!"GSM-CAN" means that it was a GSM iPhone sold in Canada. It doesn't indicate anything regarding lock status. If you purchased the iPhone from the online Apple Store, then to the best of my knowledge, they don't sell anything other than unlocked iPhones.

You can only use the country's store in which you are located and your payment method must be associated with that country.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

And I think over 50% of Apple Stores will have shut today due to Christmas anyway, mainly due to most Apple Stores being in the US and Europe. -
