Do I need to purchase anything extra in order to convert files to send to someone with a pc and vies versa
Do I need to purchase anything extra with my MacBook Pro in order to convert between Mac and pc files. I need to be able to open Mac files in excel, word etc.
You need Office for Mac, which will be two-way compatible with PCs.
Another option is to download the free "OpenOffice" which will do the same thing.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat in order to convert a pdf to an excel program but it appears that it will only convert to Word, not excel? Am I doing something wrong or should I cancel my subscription?

Hi, I purchased itunes match in order to convert the previously purchased songs that reflected copyright and would not copy to other device. Ran itunes match however, I can not find a way to obtain my 62 matched songs to place on hard drive to copy.

I need help! when I am importing my NEF Raw files from my D3300 camera into lightroom 5 and try to use the "copy as DNG" button I always get an error message saying that "saying the file is not recognized by the raw format support". The whole purpose of that button is so that the file can be recognized... How can I make the "copy as DNG" button work as it is supposed too?? Thank you

Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?

Hi There! I would like to put a song I sang on itunes. It is using a karaoke track from "Karaoke #1 hitmakers". And it is Justin Timberlake's version of "hallelujah. I am only going to make one comment and I will leave the rest to someone with more experience on the model creation end of things. I am interested in that as much as you are since I have tried and and just couldn't figure it out and finally gave up on it.
My comment is about the model making business as you describe it. There are companies out there that already provide this service. I do not know what prices they charge for their services, but a Google search will pop up quite of few of them. A person would have to check on pricing and all the rest of the details concerning this, but they are out there.
I want to add that Multisim used to have a partnership with Edaparts.com to supply model information and footprints for free. When Edaparts became a portion of Partsminer.com this freebie ended and they now charge a subscription fee for this service. That really fudged things up in my opinion. Anyway, I thought I would let you know this if you didn't already and maybe you might be interested in checking it out.

When I go to download and save a file with an .ashx extension, after downloading a pdf format file I accidentally clicked the "save all files of this type in this format." So now every .ashx download gets saved as a pdf, even though I have unclicked the "save all files of this type"...etc box, and actively choose a Word or PowerPoint or other format: they all get saved as pdfs and I can't open them! I tried going into the options menu and selecting "ask every time" for format of .ashx files but it has not helped. I have cleaning my cache and restrated my computer several times and it still refuses to download .ashx files as anything but pdf's. HELP!!!

Many of us in this community are your age and older. Age has nothing to do with it, but your lack of experience with tech devices has more bearing on this than your age. However, having said that, the iPad is very easy to use. You don't need a computer at all any more in order to use an iPad.
If you do want to use your laptop with your iPad, you must be running the latest version of iTunes and these are the specific requirements.

Question?? my name is Cecelia. I purchased your product and so far I am very unsatisfied with it. I need to fix or add to a converted PDF and I am unable to do so. I e-mailed this form to my self and it states no file avail.. is this what other will see too??????
First, when you e-mail a PDF you have to be sure the e-mail package you use encodes the PDF as binary file, not all do automatically. If the PDF is sent as an ASCII (text) file, then it will be corrupted. That is likely what happened. The alternative is to zip the PDF and send the zip file.
Fix ups are generally done in the application you used. The PDF should be a duplicate of what you see in your APP. If you are using WORD, be sure the selected printer in WORD is the Adobe PDF printer during your editing. WORD and many other word processors reflow documents based on the attached printer. It is not clear what your problem is, but that might be the issue.
As for forms, are you actually creating an electronic form or is this something that looks form for someone to print and fill in. If you want an electronic form, then you need to use the Form Tools in the tools menu. You can let Acrobat try to guess the form fields that are needed, then go back and edit the form fields. Of course, you may not have actually meant a form as such, but the layout of your document that is messed up. If it is the layout, then attaching the Adobe PDF printer during the editing of your document should solve that issue. You should also consider using the Press or Print job settings to embed all fonts. -

I have filemaker pro on my Imac I recently purchased another license to use on my MacBook pro.
I can share from the host my IMac and be able to use it on my laptop as long as the compueter is on. and I have all the files open.
If i am at the computer no probelm. But the last two days i have to step out of the office and my MacBook pro can not pick up the host:(
because the computer goes to sleep. How do I keep it on. So i can make sure i can access the other files.

my new windows 8 laptop pops up with an error message every time i plug my ipod classic into it. itunes is reconizing it and everything but it makes my computer restart whenever it gets plugged in.
i just did that and it comes up saying to log in with my stepmoms apple ID... shes never been on my computer or even ever touched my ipod or itunes. how can i bypass this to just get the songs that are already on my ipod to my library? i have my entire library set up in my itunes on my other computer, is there any way to get that itunes to my new laptop?
