Do I need to purchase imovie for each mac?

I have iMovie 10.0.3 on my MacBook Air, and iMovie 8.0.6 on my MacBook Pro. Both machines are running Mavericks. Do I need to purchase another copy of iMovie 10.0.3 ? Thank you.

You need to go to the Mac App Store and associate that copy of iMovie with your Apple ID. If you can't do this, you need to buy a separate copy for the second Mac.

If I own a desktop iMac and a MacBook Air, do I need to purchase Lion for each of them?

No. You can install Lion on all machines under your control. BTW, to avoid wasting bandwidth, time, and electricity, when you first DL Lion, don't install it, quit the installer, and copy the Install Mac OS X Lion.app which is DL'd to /Applications to another location. The stupid, inane installer deletes itself as part of its installation process. Then, copy the saved version to the other machines. Do note that if you move the installer app from /Applications, you can install it, and it won't be deleted.

  • Do I need to download Lion seperately for each mac in my house?

Do I need to download Lion seperately for each mac in my house? Which would also result in paying for it multiple times, or is there some way to install on multiple macs with one download?

No. You can install Lion on all the computers you personally own. Just be sure each is running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later. Open the App Store on each computer and log in using the Apple ID you used to purchase Lion. Click on Purchases. Click on the Install button to the right of the entry for your Lion purchase. The installer will be re-downloaded.
You may want to read the following first:
    Make Your Own Lion Installer
    1. After downloading Lion you must first save the Install Mac OS X Lion application. After Lion downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the Lion installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing Lion.
    2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    3. Locate the saved Lion installer in your Downloads folder. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the installer and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Double-click on the Contents folder to open it. Double-click on the SharedSupport folder. In this folder you will see a disc image named InstallESD.dmg.
    4. Plug in your freshly prepared USB flash drive. You are going to clone the InstallESD.dmg disc image to the flash drive as follows:
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the USB flash drive from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the USB flash drive volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Drag the InstallESD.dmg disc image file into the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
When the clone is completed you have a fully bootable Lion installer that  you can use without having to re-download Lion.

Will I need to purchase iWork for my iPad if I purchase an iPhone 5s? Everybody knows the iPhone 5s with IOS7 gives iWork for free. I assume that if I buy an iPhone 5s (or 5c) then iWork would be listed as a "purchased" app in my itunes store under my account. My iPad retina is in the same account... or are keynote, pages, and numbers completely seperate between ipad and iphone? I know they would be a seperate purchase for my Powerbook. Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi,
I was able to load the Productivity Suite / Free !!  on both my iPad mini and my iPhone 5s with no problems and at no cost.

  • If purchase iWork  for mini mac do i need to purchase iWork again for iPad and iphonee

if purchase iWork  for mini mac do i need to purchase iWork again for iPad and iphonee

Yes. Mac mini runs OS X, iPad and iPhone run iOS - different operating systems
that require different versions of Pages, Numbers, & Keynote to run. Like
the iOS version, once you purchase the version for your Mac mini, you may install
it on as many OS X desktops/laptops/minis that you own.

  • FM account assignments need to be assigned for each grantee year

    Hi experts!!
I have a problem when i execute GM_REVAL (Revaluation of Currency for Grants Management). System gets an errror: FM account assignments need to be assigned for each grantee year (Message no. GRANTMGMT363).
I've customized FMDERIVE in order to derive Fund center, commitment item, grant and fund. And GMDERIVE to derive Sponsor Program and Sponsor class. In a FI postings (FB01 or FBCJ), these derivations works ok.
Anyone knows how can i solve this error?
    Thank you.

    Hello Dolors,
for the revaluation you need to maintain default FM settings in the
customizing. See IMG - GM - master data - revaluation. Note that these
FM master data objects must be valid throughout the budget validity
    period.
    I hope this helps..
    Best regards,
    Mar.

I have already purchased iMovie for my iPad.  Is there a way to download to my MAC without having to pay again?

The iPad version is for iOS devices and can't run on OS X.
The OS X version costs 3 times as much and is a separate download.

I purchased keynote for my new iPad do I need to purchase keynote for my iMac?
When I try and purchase keynote for my iMac I am told that "you have already
purchased keynote, do you want to purchase it again?"  Answer NO.  I try to open the
keynote app on my iMac and it asks "do want to buy iWork again?"  answer NO.  Then the keynote app
closes. What an I to do?

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

  • 4 Macs in the family, do i need to buy a Lion license for each mac?

4 Macs in the family, do i need to buy a Lion license for each mac?

No, you only need to buy 1 license for one of the systems. Then you can go to another system in your household, login to the App Store with the same login you used previously, download/install Lion for that system and so on.

  • Do I need anti-virus software for my Mac Book Pro (purchased in Sept, 2011)?

    McAfee's website ...
    http://home.mcafee.com/Store/PackageDetail.aspx?pkgid=358&culture=en-us&affid=79 2&eid=covmcaggl89400000070427s&adid=8370783383&
... says I need anti-virus protection for my Mac (of course they'd like to sell it to me). Been a Windows man since Gates was just getting started. FINALLY switched over a few months ago. McAfee makes good points about getting this protection so I thought I'd sign in here and ask you guys (the experts:-)) what YOU think?? If I do need it, please recommend. I always heard that you don't need anti-virus protection for a Mac and was hoping that would be the case but I must admit it ... that sounds a little bit far-fetched/unreasonable. I don't mind doing it if it will add extra security and isn't too annoying as it has ALWAYS been on my Windows PCs through the years. Thanks, Dan

No. You don't need AV software.
What does McAfee sell? AV software so of course they are going to attempt to sell it to you. Their only interest is getting your money and nothing more then that. That web site is a total crock.

  • I purchased numbers for my mac and my iPad.  It is asking me to purchase it again (for the 3rd time) for my iPhone.  Is that correct?

I purchased numbers for my mac and my iPad.  It is asking me to purchase  it again (for the 3rd time) for my iPhone.
    Is that correct?

You only need to purchase Numbers once for each OS. Have you tried connecting your iPhone to your Mac via iTunes & adding Numbers there?
    Eric,
The iOS versions of the iWork apps are "universal' & there is no reason to have to buy the iPhone version first.
