Do i need to purchase pages on my ipad and my imac?

I am getting pages etc for my new imac, and i was wondering if i need to purchase the app for my iphone/ipad to utilize those programs on my protables? thanks!

Yes, 2 separate sets of applications, and two separate purchases. They are very cheap though.

Indeed. You would actually have to buy an Apple computer (it doesn't have to be a laptop, depending on what you plan, a mac mini or an iMac would work of course). But, the version of Pages that you bought is for iOS only. You would have to buy the Mac OS X version of Pages for your Mac. But compared to the price of the Apple computer itself, this might not be the major issue ;-)

You should also be able to access your docs (even without the Pages app on your iMac) by logging into iCloud.com and using the Pages for iCloud beta app via your browser.
(By the way your iPad uses iOS and not OS X)

Check with your carrier about roaming charges. They are usually prohibitive. Best to get a local SIM.

You can tethe, but depending on carrier you may need to pay for that option... I've decided to have my phone on one provider and my ipad on another so i always have connectivity... More expensive in the long run, but I need to make sure I am always "on" for work

Before the reset quit Pages like this:
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.

If you connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases then it should copy over to your iTunes library. Depending upon what country that you are in you might also be able to redownload it on your computer's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage.

If you purchased them, you should be able to download them to your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519, as well as watch them on your Apple TV. If you rented them on your iPad, you won't be able to transfer the rental to your other devices. To do that you have to rent them in iTunes on your Mac.

Just purchased a 3rd generation iPad and cannot connect to house wifi. It keeps searching for a connection but the gear wheel just keeps on turning. The wi-fi spot is listed and I entered the security WEP code. I connected a Macbook without problems.

Try Settings, select the network name, click on the blue arrow to Forget This Network and try signing in again.

Close Pages on the Task Bar and re-launch.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold Pages down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen

If you have a look at the iOS version you will find that it is a cut down version of the Mac Pages and quite a different beast.

I already have the app Pages on my iMac. in order to access on my iPhone those documents that i create in Pages and store in iCloud on my iMac, do I need to purchase the iPhone app also called Pages? i thought the whole point was to be able to seamlessly access documents across devices, but my phone in the App Store is acting like i need to purchase an app for the phone to be able to do it.

BTW: Pages for iOS is universal, meaning you can use it on all iOS devices without having to re-purchase for each iOS device.
