Do I need to study Inut/Output streams for the CX-310-035 exams

Hi,
I am a little confused.
I have the Java 2 Certification Study Guid (Third Edition.
In the objectives section, it says nothing of java.io (Input/OutPut streams right?), yet in the guide itself, it has a whole chapter on this.
So what is the dea?Am I required to sudy this for the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform 1.4 (CX-310-035), or do I totally leave it out.

I find this to a bit stupid. I found reading the I/O chapter to be informative. I often did I/O things a bit blindly before preparing and am now better equipped to choose the correct classes when programming. Further, look how many questions we see in here of the ilk, "How do read from a file and then tokenize the bits and then do some processing and then write them back out using Unicode cuneiform"?

I have to export details from multiple VO. so i put one submit button and write the code to prepare the csv file content and put it in to output stream. The exported csv file contains all the details as expected, but the end of the file we have whole xml content of the file. I could not identify which really make this problem.

You can USE a Short Cut Key Ctrl + Shift + F9 and than select the type in you want to download in your case you will select Spreadsheet

I thought I'd give you a response even if I can't answer your question completely. (I think we ought to start a separate thread entitled "How do you get any replies on this forum???") Here is what I have been forced to do. I introduced some JavaScript on the web page that contains the applet I want to be run. The sole purpose of the JavaScript is to detect which platform the client is on. If it's not MacIntosh, then I have JavaScript write the <object><embed> tag used by the Java plug-in. It it is MachIntosh, then I have JavaScript write the regular <applet> tag and let the Mac browsers do as best they can. With mixed and disappointing results. Netscape 6.2 crashes with a lot of applets. IE 5 brings up the applet okay but certain Swing components aren't displaying properly. The MacIntosh I've been testing on is version 9.1. I'm trying OS X tomorrow.
Why don't you send a reply to my query under the Java Plug-in Forum--from aronsz, dated 06/11/02--if you have some more info by now. I sure would appreciate it.

We are getting the following error when running the Webi Reports "could not get an output file for the document (error RWI 00314)". The issue seems to be related to Tomcat Memory Heap size, our Tomcat Java heap Size is 1024MB. We were able to resolve the issue by restarting the Tomcat. We cannot restart the Tomcat in Prod if this is happening frequently.
Can some one please suggest any other solution other than restarting the Tomcat frequently, our platform is BOBJ XI 3.1 SP3 with FP 3.1 our Wndows OS is 32 Bit.

To solve this kind of problems you need to shutdown the server.
second thing is when patches missed that time also you will get this kind of problem.

iTunes never displays the iPod in the left pane?
iTunes is shipped with a "helper application" called the "iPod Service" that runs and is used by iTunes to communicate with the iPod device. This service may be disabled.
If your system is Microsoft Windows XP and you are logged in as an Administrator:
1. Quit iTunes and, if your iPod is currently connected to your computer, safely remove it using the system tray application to manage removable devices.
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Select "Manage"
4. In the "Computer Management" window, left pane (tree view), follow this path:
+Computer Management (local) > Services and Applications > Services+.
5. In the right pane, scroll down to "iPod Service" and double click it.
6. If the service is listed as "Disabled" and "Stopped," change to "Manual" and "Start" it. ("Manual" will cause it to start when iTunes starts and "Start" starts the service right now.)
7. Close "Computer Management"
8. Restart iTunes and wait for it to completely come up.
9. Reconnect your iPod.

You have to do it on the Apple TV itself while it's plugged into a TV so that you can see its screen.

Dispaly of the output message for the not released contract

Is there a possibility, for buyers (conract creators), to display an output message for the purchasing contract, which is subject to a release procedure, but has not been released yet. Acctually it is possible to do it in ME35K, by indicating the relevant release code and pressing "print preview" after executing the report. But it is not a way out, since buyers are not participating in release procedure and therefore do not have a releasecode.

I was going to recommend Brother becasue they held OS9 support longer than just about anyone, but their current printers are now supported back to Mac OS10.3 to 10.4, depending on printer model.
If you can do with a b/w laser, the recently discontinued HL5250DN is very nice and OS9 drivers are still up on Brother support site (just checked). We have that model networked at home and its happily serving five Macs plus any visitors who bring their own computer.
This printer has been absolutely reliable and trouble-free. It has both USB and ethernet connectivity (I prefer the latter), does duplex (two-sided) printing, and 1200 dpi res. If you Google the model HL5250DN, you should turn up some of the model still in stock someplace.
If you need color, I'm at a loss for a recommendation there.
